java for tp? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

where can i get a java program for this phone to run opera mini?

You already have it,is built-in. If you don't have shortcut in program list, you should find the jbed.exe file in Windows directory. That's the emulator. If not from any reason, download Esmertec Java emulator patched by Cloudyfa.

there's no jbed.exe in windows folder. where's the other one?

Hmmm...it's strange. I don't remember, where to download the installer, but I am sure somewhere on this server from some thread.

Sprint HTC Touch Pro does not have java pre-installed
The Sprint HTC Touch Pro does not come up with Jave pre-installed. They have there own implementation of Java called as Titan but it sucks big time. Please let us know if anybody knows of a JBed installer.

New Version of Google Maps a Java add-on?

I needed to reinstall it so I found the link online and downloaded it and it installed through Esmertec JBed. This version doesn't have GPS compatibility. Thankfully, I was able to find the old CAB version and install that, which does.
Why would they do that?
As is mentioned in my MIDlet Bible, there's a native WM version of GM, which you should always prefer to the Java one

Problems with jar applet with Windows Mobile

Hello all,
I am currently using a Touch Pro and developing Java applets that are invoked by html files. They work fine on my PC using IE, but I can't seem to get them to work on my Touch Pro. I have tried IE/Opera/Opera Mini and have installed the following Java support cabs....
-jinstall-1_5_0_11-windows-i586.cab (Sun Windows Mobile Java)
-Esmertec JAVA Manager.cab
-Esmertec Jbed 20090217.5.1R2.cab
Anyone been able to view web java applets like this? You can test if your PPC will run it. Sun has a little test applet you can browse to....
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tuto...cTreeDemo/AppletPage_WithAppletTagNoJNLP.html
If you can view the text only on your PPC browser your in my boat. If you can view the applet on your PPC (contains a little file tree that starts with "Root Node" and "Add"/"Remove"/"Clear" buttons) please let me know how you did it.
Any other ideas/comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!

new java midlet manager

Hi All!
I have tried a lot of midlet manager,
include JBed, JBlend, Jeodek, etc,
and I found that some java applications which consume a lot of memory,
makes the midlet manager fail to run (throws OutOfMemory error)
Only Jeodek, don't have this problem!
I found that it can run other java applications which other midlet manager can't!
However, after i buy another phone,
the new phone don't have the jeodek preinstalled >.<
I have tried many links on the internet, but all the version i found, are those issued before 2008, which do not support touch screens...
So I wonder, did anyone have a Jeodek which have network and touch screens support, or anyone can suggest a better midlet manager or jre, instead of JBed and Jbled? (I have read through the midlet bible...but can't find a good one...)...please help>.<

Emulating MS Mobile on HTC HD2

A n00b question..
ENVIRONMENT
Visual Studio 2008 C++
MS Mobile Pro SDK
MS Mobile OS 6.x
I want to add the HTC HD2 to the Microsoft Device emulator.
I got Josh's .NBH file and tried to convert it to a .BIN, but the resulting file could not be read by the emulator.
Is there someplace I can find the .BIN (preferably with the skin (.XML and .PNG/.BMP files))??
Thanks so much.
As far as I know, there is no way to emulate a device rom using the MS Windows Mobile emulator.
Oh, thank you, Steven; that is what I have read online, but I was hoping that it was not true. :/
Could someone be so kind as to point me to emulation alternatives, preferably accompanying MS Visual Studio?
Yesterday I basically found what I needed with the MS Mobile 6.5 SDK (includes WVGA).
