Only right side of scrollbar is working - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I'm having the problem that only the right side of the vertical scrollbar is working. This is very annoying. For example when using the file explorer, if I touch the middle or left side of the vertical scrollbar I select the nearest item instead of grabbing the scrollbar.
What can I do?

I have this problem also. My workaround (until finding a better solution, hopefully) was to increase the size of the vertical scrollbar. Using the advanced configuration tool, I increased from the default 13 pixels to 16 pixels. You're right though... it's hella annoying.

I've actually noticed that in some roms myself (I don't have it right now, fortunately). It's kind of annoying, isn't it? Just suck it up and use the right half of the scroll bar with your thumbnail. Sorry, but that's all I got. You can increase the scroll bar size, like jrowlings mentioned, but then things start getting fugly. Just don't clip your right thumbnail too close.

[Q] Hide activity bar?

As per the title, is it possible to hide the activity/notification bar from the bottom of the screen, particularly when viewing movies or playing games?
I would assume so, but it might have to be done by the app that you're using. It does so in the Youtube app, it makes the buttons disappear and replaces them with tiny dark dots so I would assume that as a dev, someone could do the same. But I dont recall there being an option to do it.
No?
I don't think so, however devs can move it, like in the game Spirit, they place it on the left so it's as though you're getting more screen space. However, I don't think you can fully remove it, as it's the main way of navigating the device. Hope this helps!
The dots are called lights out mode
you can use gesture control to hide the bottom bar

Hide Status Bar Bleeding in Gingerbread

As we know black notification bar of Gingerbread makes the led bleeding more noticeable in the corners. I for one don't notice it often but it IS still there in the left hand corner. The right side has minimal bleeding but it is hidden by the time display.
A solution to the left side bleeding is to download an app called Bar Control. It allows you to put any app of your choice into the left corner of the notification bar. The contrast from the icon(s) you place in that corner make the bleeding pretty much invisible. I find that I only need to place one icon to hide the issue but some may need 2 or more depending on how bad their's is. Worked out for me. I can look directly into the left corner and not see any leeding so I figure I'd share my experience. Hope this helps someone enjoy their phone a little more.
I'd like to learn how to theme for those like me who were a fan of the vanilla notification bar.
Appreciate the tip. Will give it a shot when I finally get a chance to flash CM7 as I have backlight bleed slightly in the left hand corner as well, though very minimal in the right hand corner.
Yea but whats worse, a barely visible bleed or a bright annoying icon?
Actually a great fix is one that is in EaglesBlood, where the top bar is 2-tone sort of like the Sense themes. The top tone destroys any visible signs of a backlight bleed and doesn't have a horrible icon just chilling there.
Well the icons don't bother me and its actually nice having the app u chose in the bar.

[Q] How to get alphabetic scrolling in the contact list

From Windows Mobile, I'm used to scrolling through a contact lsit by initial letter, i.e. when I move through the list at a high speed, the system starts to jump across initial letters instead, displaying the current letter on top of the list. I've been able to achieve the same thing accidentally on my new Sensation, but I cannot reproduce it. Can anybody give advice on this?
Try to touch the position indicator in the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen, then drag it down. The bar is a bit narrow in sense and may be a little difficult to "grab".

Click to collapse
Thanks for the info, works for me, but the position indicator is only showing up while the list is scrolling... Any alternative way? Is is possible to increase the size?
That's my best answer. Try htc help and the market for a third party app. Might have to wait for root and custom roms.

that bar indeed is small, it should of been a bit thicker.
The latest update made the bar easier to grab! Works a lot better now!

problem with app location after closing window for limited access (small windowed app

I clicked something that caused the small screen preview (not sure of the full name). I closed the item with the little 'X' and since then all the icons on all the screens are slightly smaller and located closer to the top left of the screen on each screen/panel. I have attached a screenshot and is available below.
Does anyone have any idea how to make this go back to normal. I have tried a settings 'refresh' but that didn't work as well as a full device reboot.
* i couldn't attach an image sadly. Just imagine the icons are moved to the top left slighly ( i have a gap below the bottom/5th row of the icons and the quick access bar). The icons are all smaller than normal. If i click and hold it still shows 5x5 view or what have you. Switching views doesn't solve the issues either

[Feature request] Visual adjustments for Settings UI after 1.34.7 update

My app just updated with some pretty significant changes for how the app's settings are laid out.
Overall I like it, but I have some suggestions that would improve my personal experience, and hopefully some other users feel the same way.
The pane for Playback Speed is huge, and the original one was small and unobtrusive. I use this feature a lot, so this is the biggest issue for me after these updates. I like the +/- buttons, the bar for adjusting speed, and the bigger number, but it takes up half the screen and I can't see the video behind it. If the speed multiplier was placed above the slider bar it could still be pretty big and would free up 2/3 of the space it's currently taking up.
The background appears completely black on my phone. Reviewing the screenshots, there seems to be some level of translucency, but I would like to be able to adjust how translucent it is, down to 50% opacity or less. It's extremely useful to be able to still see the whole video while I'm adjusting settings.
The gradient on the left side of the settings UI goes out pretty far. To close the settings pane I usually tap the video, and with this big gradient it's hard to tell where I can tap to dismiss it.
My phone has a thick case, and some settings UI elements go really close to the edge. Some extra padding or margins on elements near the bottom would be appreciated. ("More" checkbox on Information is hard for me to hit)
The shortcut buttons go all the way to the left edge. A bit more space on the left would be nicer to interact with, and would match up better with the amount of space between the shortcut buttons.
The UI elements at the bottom are pretty close to the corners and the bottom of the screen as well. I think these would benefit from some extra space too.
Hopefully some of these can be considered, especially those first three.
[Edit: The video I'm watching doesn't seem to perfectly match my aspect ratio (I've got it set to Fit To Frame) and those last 2 points aren't as much of an issue when the entire frame is filled. There is still a big gap between the playback bar and the buttons that I find peculiar though.]
[Edit: Actually, scratch those last 2 entirely. The big gap between the playback buttons and bar is helpful to avoid accidental navigation in the video.]
