own a htc touch 3g
i tried to synchronise the touch with activesync (PC1) over bluetooth (activesync over usb is already done) - it worked for some day
later on a second pc (PC2) i also made a owenship in activesync with connection over USB; tried also for this owenship a activesync bluetooth connection:
the second activesync bluetooth connection now works but the first one does not work anymore (for PC1 i get only the 'SerialPort' service for the bluetooth connection, not the 'ActiveSync' service).
i tried to re-do the pairing ecc eith PC1 - but no success
a few days later also the activesync bluetooth connection for PC2 stopped working (get only 'SerialPort' service for the bluetooth connection)
read some post and tried some solutions:
1) delete registry subkeys:
Bluetooth\Activesync\000a3a644396
Bluetooth\Device\000a3a644396
2) changed Bluetooth\Activesync\Initialised=1 (was 0 before) ...
3) softreset
4) re-do the pairing
but i only get the 'SerialPort' service for PC1 (and also for PC2) and not the 'ActiveSync' one
is there another solution available to solve this problem or the only way is to hardreset the device ?

Does Activesync attempt to connect? - If not, then check the connection settings in Activesync to make sure that the USB option is enabled. If it tries to connect, then check whether a firewall is blocking the connection.
i had that problems some times
i always solved it by 1 or 2
1. softreset of xda
2. opened activesync opened taskmanager choose go to process and killed it and started activesync once more

Just got a new qtek8310 with Windows mobile5 and activesync version 4.1.0 build 4841. Using it with a computer connected to a windows domain network.
The computer have enabled offline files, (can view/edit files in offline mode etc) This is build function in windows xp.
However when I sync the mobile device sometimes it drops the connection to the network and puts me in offline mode with the network, I need to resync offlinefiles to re-establish the network. This happens randomly, often when I connected the device. I think has something to do with the new network adapter it creates everytime you connect the device to sync (breakes the currently connections?).
The sync with contacts etc from outlook works 100%

Still same problems, It has same effect with or without firewall enabled (xpsp2)

Any solution to this? I'm still going through the search results but my customer w/ the save AS version has the same problem with 2 diff phones on 2 diff workstations.

I recently upgraded to the bluetooh Widcomm stack on the laptop. Its better, more complete software but I seem to have lost 2 bits of functionality :
1. Only the device can initiate a bluetooth connection. Nothing I do from the PC will establish a working connection, even though it does see the device.
2. My bluetooh sat nav no longer pairs with the laptop. No idea why. But it's pain - because bluetooth was the only way to connect. It's never been recognised by XP as a USB device.,
any one had similar experience ? wm5 on a prophet.

Yep they all work.
Except if you are going to use Direct Push mail with Exchange, with a constantly active connection, you will probably have issues with your data connection hanging. The only way to resolve it is to enable/disable the radio (sometimes works) or soft reset.
To stop it happening in the first place, selecting GSM only (ie not 3G) in the Radio options does the job..

I've some problem to get an internet connexion on my new funny netbook computer.
I've tested a lot of thing, and always the same thing : the connection is etablished with my phone but there isn't the internet.
I've just test :
- Connect with usb cable and select "Internet Sharing".
- Connect with usb cable en select ActiveSync then run the Addons Internet Sharing in USB (same thing that the first test).
- Connect with Bluetooth like a modem phone, and compose *99***1# and 2# and 3#.. doesn't work too.
On my computer i've configure all for this working, firewall has been disabled, and connexion configuration is set up.
I've disabled all no working connexion.
Internet works on my phone very well, and data connection is set up.
I don't understand at all, I've already connected a phone to get Internet and there wasn't problem...
Can someone help me please ?

I've change my rom RuRo to Jademan SuperROM Iolite and now it works great
