Hi
I have problem with the front speaker.
The sound is "blurry" but if i put the caller to rear speaker the sound is crystal clear.
So the problem must be in front speaker??
I search the net but i cant find where to get it?
Is somebody have the front speaker from dead Prophet?
TNX
OK Found it .
I looking for the front speaker, should look it for earpiece speaker.

ok so i just got the nexus 5 i like the phone but i found the little small front ear speaker is not that loud and volume is max is there a way to fix this so it is easier to hear people talking?
Was the phone ever disassembled? If it was, it is possible that the small plastic speaker support was not reattached.
unknown but it is possiblewould it be a good idea for me to disasemble and brush the speaker out then reassemble?
I would open the phone and perform an inspection.
Look at step 13: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus+5+Teardown/19016
ty for the reply it was an eay teardown and i used a toothbrush to clean the speaker and just a little blow of breath blew other junk out you can hear much better now
I thought the audio speaker volume was a bit low and noticed sound is only coming out of the left speaker hole. It's really obvious if I cover up the holes in turn. Could you tell me if yours is the same please?
There IS only one speaker...
Ah, well that would explain it. Silly me, I thought - two speaker holes = two speakers!
One is speaker and the other is the mic
Silly me thought the exact same thing today. I randomly put my phone up to my mouth and noticed the sound went away after covering just 1 side.
Thanks for clearing that up guys!

Many thanks !

The design looks like 2 speakers but it's only one in the right, and the left is the mic.
When you turn the phone crosswise, the earpiece turns as a stereo speaker.

Hi guys,
I accidentally got some liquid in the bottom speaker of my mate 9.
The sound is now distorted and muffeld. I tried to clean out the grill and it seems as though I've pierced the protective cover on the speaker grill.
Help please.
Hi everybody,
I got an issue with my mic. Since I changed the battery and the usb/mic I got noise while talking to others.
When I record audio or video there is no noise. The sound is crystal clear! The only visible difference to the original condition is the missing copper tape on the battery. I thought the tape was a heatsink and not a shield.
Do you think this might be the problem? I am very confused because of the noise just showing up during a call.
Thanks for reading and even more for commenting :good:
Hi,
This xperia have 2 speakers, one in the top and one in the bottom, they are the same? Because I changed them but they have the same size and I'm not sure if I putted them in the right position. How I can know if the speakers are in the right place? Like how I know what speaker is for the top
PD: the speakers work but the sound of the videos and music are a bit low
Yes, both the speakers are the same. Just that top speaker is more loud and the bottom one isn't that loud as the top one. That's because the bottom speaker is fitted inside the antenna module and to see that it's waterproof the bottom speaker isn't as exposed than the top one. :fingers-crossed:
