Want to sell my Pro but

I am going to just dump it and loose allot of money. I want to make this a easy transaction if anyone is interested.
Were would I post this on the board?
I will meet locally or ship in the US only.
I would like to sell it to one of the ROM guys so they can keep going on developing new ROM etc. I will give it away for $720 that includes fedex 3 days shipping in the US. I payed 1100 for it plus shipping.
It does have a very very small scratch on the bottom corner of the phone. I haven t even used the charger since I had a older HTC charger. The USB is unused and the headphones are unused.

if you want to see if the devs want it for that, i would make a short post in the elite rom thread (only because i think that not all of the devs have a device at the moment) otherwise, im not sure if there is a spot for selling devices on here, not one that i could find, so if none of the devs get back to you, throw it on ebay i guess. if i hadn't made the plunge for mine i would buy yours for sure.

Hi! it is a long time since I last flashed pcarvalho's ROMs but I think he is very much responsible for many of us being able to flash and cook 6.5 roms on our beloved but rather old polaris.
I propose a quick poll just to gather 250€ so he can continue with his production (or do what he wants). As soon as we have 250 voters we close the thread and send the euro via paypal. It is fair?

It's been here a few days already and I just noticed it.
I believe most people, like me, only read threads they follow, and just sometimes check for new threads.
and from the name of the thread is not too understandable what it is about, so many people probably just skip it.
If somebody want to donate more please write in thread here so we can see how much we can gather. or even better just pay to pcharvalo via paypal and write that you did.
And perhaps even less than 250 € can be enough if he wants to buy a new (used) one instead of repairing his:
and he certainly does deserve a new one for all he did in Polaris development.

Well, I personally give my opinion in the subject: it is one € (or more) back for the hours he has devoted to the polaris community, not in exchange for what he may want to do in the future.
That's your option, nobody is here to judge anybody, pleope willing to give some money for the job done so far can already donate the money. If you want to donate only if he continues the development, then wait...

first of thanks for all this, i'm truly amazed at you all, i wasn't going to get a polaris cause, lets face it, its 2,5 years old and newer devices with similar price tags are available, getting one is not a very good deal (unless you have very basic nokia models, then i fully recommend it ).
but as always this community changed my way of thinking. even though my polaris died you all are working to help me get another one. so...
i'm now currently trying to find a way to fix mine (or get one that's working and in mint condition) and so all current donations will be used to get it working.
once i do get it, rom development will obviously continue. i have some kind of customization disease. all my phones are always "make it mine"...
so, thanks for those that are helping, my only regret is COM5 Branch (235XX) is currently paralyzed (more or less since my device died), that means lots of time was wasted that could have meant lots of fixes...hope i can fix that soon...

I just ordered a new phone (the "desire" was too great ). I was going to sell my touch cruise on ebay, until I saw this topic. I can sell my device to you... I haven't figured out how much I want for it though. I think the used ones go for 100-150 nowadays.
I think it's better to send my device to somebody who knows the device and is going to develop it further, rather than some random guy. Although I know I will probably get a smaller share.
What do you think?

thanks for starting this poll. I donated to pcar before, since I have been using his ROMs for quite somewhile now and they really added value to my otherwise lame phone. Unfortunately there are too many leechers out there that can not appreciate hard coding/ porting work. Still, I voted to donate again for a replacement phone for pcarvalho. However, I think sending his one to repair is not the cheapest way here - besides the ideological value. We could watch the bay for getting them around 150 maybe.

thanks, im currently bidding on a few ones on ebay...hope to get one for less then 150 would be great at 100+transportation...im also in contact with a xda member that got an iphone and is dropping his htc...lets see how these attempts on getting a device go...

Shipping and handling costs to Portugal are about 30 € with insurance and tracking information. Without insurance and tracking it's 10 euro. Delivery time should be between 3 and 10 days.
I'd be happy with 150 € all-in (120 for the device). I can't take pictures now, because I don't have an other camera than the one on the polaris. I'll send them asap.

UPDATE: An anonymous contributor is going to help me get the phone for $150. I am going to need enuff for $150 plus tax plus shipping (overnight preferrably so he can get started asap). So with that being said if you use the donate to me button on my profile or send the payment to paypal email jjhudson1 at gmail.com we can get this ship sailing. For the sake of transparency I plan on only using enough money to cover costs and any other money that comes in I will find a fair way to take care of either by giving money back or donating to another dev or even start funding for another dev like EvilD to get a phone. I AM NOT TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT, and I will even show receipts upon request if anyone asks me to. Also if you don't feel like getting charged the paypal commision fee and want 100% of your donation to go towards the phone, select the payment as personal -> gift to avoid the paypal transaction fee.
Ok people, Zinx was the clear winner of our dev wishlist poll, so now it's time to step up and show your contributions to our community. Kmobs recommended Zinx to take over the MT4G CM6 port, and Zinx has agreed to start working on it. Now we just need to step up and help him get this phone.
A little info on Zinx for those who might be unfamiliar:
- Core contributor to the G2 CM6 port
- Ported CM kernel to the MT3G 3.5mm
- Contributed work on battery issues on Dream/Sapphire
- TeamDouche member recommended by Kmobs to help us with our CM6 port.
That being said, just to make sure everyone's clear by accepting the phone Zinx is committing to giving his full effort into getting the port working completely as soon as possible. But there is no guarantee the video issues effecting the camera will be worked out. The camera issues are indeed one hairy beast, but kmobs seemed confident Zinx is our best shot at getting this thing figured out.
I'll start things off by contributing $20 for now. Please show your support and help us get this thing done. Also if you have an upgrade that you would be willing to share to help us get Zinx a MT4G, they would expedite the process greatly.

Come on peeps! $5, $10, $20+ is a small investment to get some official CM lovin' on this phone. Let's get Zinx a MT4G so we can get a quality ROM!

It's even cheaper for a used one in great condition, around $240 on Craigslist.

As long as the phone is fully functional so I can test everything then the phone can be used...just make sure it isn't blacklisted so I can fix wifi calling and the apn issue.
I have an s2 for personal use so this phone would be a dev phone
Last time I got a phone donated the users sent me the money bc I had a deal with another user to buy his phone it was all done publicly so the community can see. I say the cheapest/safest way to get it would be ebay because it has some guarantee that if the product doesn't work then you can open a case with PayPal

But me personally I would feel most comfretable with erikmm doing it. But if he doesn't want to or if you guys don't trust him why would you trust someone else?

Or I could ship to someone else who is willing to list it and sell it and them give you the proceeds.
I think its worth around $70 or so.
I just don't have the time to list it and sell it and do all that stuff... but I cold easily just ship it. Thoughts?

but sounds great if someone could put it up, I've been looking for work lately and school those two things take up my time and free time goes to deving thanks man hopefully we get an awesome guy willing to put it for sale

I really like the work erikmm has done for our phone. I dont think anyone else has made an actual working rom with such few issues for our phone. I think getting him a phone so he can help our community would be a huge asset, and im willing to donate also. I dont want to see this phone get left behind, and I do miss flashing different roms like I did with my Vibrant.

Trust me the work has not stopped. We have been trying various ports over the last few weeks. Erikm and I have been trying but without the phone his efforts are limited. Hopefully he gets the device and then things will start rolling

Why doesn't he buy it from Revo-Digital? That's where I got mine from. Arrived in 2 days. Good customer service. £423 at the moment for the i9505 with one year warranty.

Never used UltimaROM, but I checked it out so it looks cool. But if the pledge is lowered to 425, makes more sense no? That's more than a 100 quid cheaper!

He will get the i9505 first because of the LTE and he will get the i9500 as well but only if he gets that many donations.
Currently, though, there is not much that speaks for the i9500. No aosp support and is very unlikely to ever get it, poorly-implemented big.LITTLE technology, exynos. "But it has eight cores!" So f****** what?

The same site you linked to I had £450 up because I know Pledgie take 3% and I was accounting for delivery, but then I realised 3% of that is about £15 and the delivery is free, so I changed it to £425
