Nandroid backup imgs - myTouch 3G, Magic Android Development

Hey !
I've bricked my phone :/ and I can't find any guide telling me how to recover it, because it's the scandinavian branded version.
So I was wondering if anyone who got the scandinavian one would upload a nandroid backup, so I can flash it on my phone ?

Its a bit more involved than that. Check out this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530723

If you put it on your SDcard along with all the other nandroid backups you have you can get Amon RA's or Cyanogen's recovery image to restore that one.
Folder structure is:
nandriod/SERIALNUMBER(all upper case)/date-time(YYYMMDD-HHMM)
If you place it as the most recent one it will be the one restored.

Is there any problems if i flash a nadroid backup from another Magic?

Hi ankit360, is this the same rom as the one used in Indonesia? I can only remember the SEA and 2.51.0. Can anyone please confirm? Is it possible to flash back to this version after I installed Pays/Korean. I never used Chinese rom prior to pays or korean (still confused about reverting back to eclair). Thanks
Just tried to restore my nandroid from last official SEA then flash the sbf. Everything seems to be normal. Most of previously installed applications FC. Gtalk won't run. Trying to factory reset
Okay. Everything runs perfectly after factory reset. I can even unroot my defy using superoneclick. Thanks ankit360 for the sbf

If you know what exactly did you have before then you could try searching for it (here or on Google). Or if you have a backup you can restore it. Other than that no,

I had a simpe rom. And there were no issues. Now when i try to install any update on my phone it says that you ddont have origional firmware.
Hello Waqar, im frm PK too. Well i guess when u say u have rooted your chahca, u would have surly flashed custom recovery also. If Yes then you could just search this forum for a link to download backup of original rom, download and copy to ur device's sd card, restore through recovery and done.
if you cant find the link let me know and i will try to get you the link or upload that backup somewhere.

You can flash the rom you want, and then extract the data from the nandroid(cwm backup) using Titanium Backup or Nandroid Manager.
would it again become the full original rom...??

CWM makes a backup of the whole phone. The things that you're probably interested in are your apps I guess? As long as you have a rooted rom you can obtain those applications + data from your CWM backup and restore them on your rom.
ok...now i understand...

I think you can flash the ICS rom on your phone then get the rom files via "adp pull" and put them into an update.zip. It's just a sugestion, I have never tried :silly:. Or you can make an update zip only with the modfied files.

An older version of RUU or a nandroid backup of the system, boot&recovery partitions is perfectly fine as long as it's able to get the device to boot successfully. Will flashing system_image.emmc.win (from twrp backup) to the system partition resolve the issue?
Unbricked without using stock twrp backup or the correct RUU

Found two post that helped me to fix my bricked device that was on 1.24.401.12 and CID__J15 (middle east) without a stock twrp backup or the original RUU.
1)Follow this guide to change the version of your device to that of the RUU you downloaded.(I changed it from 1.24.401.12 to 1.24.400.2).
Note: I also changed the text TC__J15(representing the original CID) found in the sde1 file to TC__060(CID supported by RUU that was available.(Not sure if this step is needed)
2)Follow this guide to change the CID of your device to that supported by any RUU that you download and also to flash RUU.
Note: Ensure that you change only HTC__XXX while you edit the sdf1.img file using the HxD image editor(In my case it was HTC__J15(followed by IMEI) which i changed to HTC__060(followed by the same IMEI). This changed my CID from middle east to india), else you could mess up the IMEI (which follows immediately). So always keep a backup before editing sdf1.img
Note: If adb says device unauthorised, simply run the commands from terminal found under the advanced tab in Twrp and transfer the files to PC using MTP while in TWRP recovery mode.
