is it possible to use Cruise as GPS reciever for Laptop ? - Touch Cruise General

hi, there is it possible to use my cruise Pda as Gps reciever for my notebook with IGO8 on it.
I search for answer but found nothing so sorry if this was asked before !!!

Yes it should be possible with GPS2Blu , I've used it to send GPS data from my Orbit2 to VisualGPS on my laptop.
Of course your lappy has to have Bluetooth for this to work

PC audio-output on PocketPC device (Bluetooth)

Hi All,
I am using internet telephony on my PC and I am curious whether anybody knows whether it is possible to use my MDA compact (or any other PocketPC device) as a remote phone set via bluetooth. Would be nice to walk around the PC doing a phone call through the internet.
If somebody knows, can you let me know how?
Thanks,
Lars
if you have the wifi card and use the program skype you can do ut
I don't want to use WiFi.
I would like to use a Bluetooth connection between my MDA compact and my (host) PC which has an internet connection. Basically, my MDA compact should work like a "Bluetooth headset" for my PC.
Lars
i'm not sure if the ms bluetooth stack support that profile
maybe the vidcomm does ?
Is it possible to put the Widcom stack on my MDA compact??

Connect VDA GPS (Toshiba G710) to BTAP

Hi,
Does anybody have ever connected the VDA GPS to a Bluetooth Access Point (BTAP) at home in order to go online via broadband speed rather than GPRS?
How will be the settings?
I have a blue2net and cannot figure out how to establish a data connection between both devices...
Hi tuo_kaerf,
did you get a connection between the VDA GPS and the Siemens blue2net?
I'm looking for a solution to get into www with the blue2net too, but i still haven't found a way to connect these items...
Unfortunately not, due to the PAN profile in Windows Mobile, which is not sufficient for connecting with the BTAP. It is only designed for connecting to other BT enabled devices, such as mobile phones, but not a BTAP.
Could changing the bluetooth stack from microsoft to widcomm be a solution?
This can't be a problem of bluetooth, this must be a software problem...

Funny you, a problem with bluetooth profiles *IS* a software problem
Upps. I originally ment "This can't be a hardware problem"...
So there must be a workaround to get this problem solved.
I'm back again...
Could flashing the VDA GPS to Windows Mobile 6.1 be a solution for this problem?

Astronavigator and gps bluetooth

Hello to everyone, I'm new on the forum, and I hope this is the right section to my problem:
I have installed Vito Astronavigator 2.02 on my ppc, but this program don't find my gps, and in the software there are no option to choose the com port.
I've a Qtek 2020 with wm6 (tofclock, I don't know what it is), and my gps is an Holux 236 bluetooth.
I thank everyone who can help, hello!
GPS Test
Hi
Use GPS Test (attached) to find out whether or not you can get GPS data. If you can then it is the software you need to configure. If not, then you will need to configure the port your phone receives the GPS data from. Have a go at that and post how you get on. From memory you need to set up a Bluetooth Serial Port to your GPS device in the bluetooth settings and then mirror this port in the GPS settings.
Cheers

Hi, thanks to the answer. I use the gps bluetooth for tom tom, and it works well, so I think that the problem is in the software. I've configured my qtek to use the com port5, but in astronavigator there are no option to choose the port! However now I try to use your program and later I'll do know to you. Thanks hello!

Gps / a- gps

Hi guys,
I have some questions about TG01. I just have bought one TG01 with orange ch. They said me TG01 have GPS and A Gps modules. Before, I had nokia navigator 6710 and I could use its navigation option in offline and it could connect to satellite easily. There are no data transfer and no internet connection so no price.
But now I cant menage to use its gps options in offline mode. In TG01 box, there is a storage card and some codes on it. How can I use it and I want to use TomTom or Garmin or iGO in offline mode. Can I use?
Please explain this questions smoothly because I'm a newbe on this pda. And I dont know any pda language
Thanks a lot.
Tom Tom Navigator is usable with no connection charge depends if you are subscribe to their traffic option or not.
Orange one needs data plan option.
another related question:
Does someone know about german providers blocking com7 port in their branding (to force you to use agps)? I cannot establish any connection to my external gps mouse
chris
if you are useing tomtom you need a program call GPSPLEX if you need it i have it just message cos i can't rem the website

[Q] Bleutooth cell phone as voip

Hi,
I'm looking for a solution to use a standard bluetooth cell phone as a voip phone.
I've been searching the internet for a week without finding any pratical solutions.
I have seen that Ooma has a solution for their services but I need a generic solution using for instance a bluetooth dongle (if computer does not have bleutooth). I've read about a 'bridge' between bluetooth and wifi ... Is there a 'hardware' solution for that ? A small portable convertor which enables you to use wifi networks with your bleutooth cell phone ?
Can anybody advise me ?
Thanks,
Johan
