WM 6.5 Lock Screen Call Management? - General Questions and Answers

Alright, so I LOVE WM6.5, and I love how when the phone is locked, it has a neat slide-to-answer and call management functionality.
I have two questions:
Can I make the backlight not dim on lock for my Samsung Omnia?
Can I access this call manager when my phone isn't locked [set it as the default call handler kind of...]?
Thanks!

Disabling/enabling MS smartdial

How do you disable the MS smart dial function (not the HTC one, that's simple)?
I'm working with the raw AT&T rom (hard reset w/ soft reset before customization/AT&T crapware installations) with a few simple cab installs (HTC home primarily), KaiserTweak, and the HTC black theme to complement Touchpal (slick UI, man). I turned off the HTC smart dialer. I wanted the dialer skin to have the WM button styles but for the color scheme to fit HTC black. So I went into HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin "Enabled" and set value to 0 and soft reset. The dialer turned out grey and silver and perfect, except for the big white, nasty MS smart dialer window. So I go back into KaiserTweak and it shows that I've set the MS smart dialer to active (instead of the HTC dialer). But I didn't. So I reset it back to the HTC smart dialer and soft reset. Now my dial pad is all ugly blue/green. So I redo the registry skin change and it's silver again, but the WM smart dialer is back. I can't get this darn thing to go away. I've checked the forums and all I can find are posts relating to installing the Touch dialer w/ smart dialer active, but no specific registry keys that control the MS smart dialer. I'm sure this is simple, and I manually scanned the registry for it, but I'm suffering from a bout of stupidity. Help?

Patience, my friend - Rome wasn't built in a day. Someone will have some ideas. I too would like to know the answer to this question, so I will continue to research on my own, and check this thread every day or two to see what develops.
When you press call (Green) key and dial pad opens press Menu - Smart dialing Options
and uncheck Enable Smart Dialing
Still nothing on this!
I'd like to be able to do this too. I'm using Celedial with WM6, and it works well enough, but it does lose focus from time to time when the built-in MS SmartDialer steals focus.
(When I choose Menu->Smart Dialing Options from within cprog.exe, nothing happens, however before I played with the registry, the option within that section was disabled anyway. I think that relates to the HTC Smart Dialer anyway.)

s2u2 -> disable phone answering?

I have S2U2 installed on my touch pro 2, however I don't want to use the S2U2 interface to answer the phone (S2A ?) because there already is a "Slide to Answer" feature in the phone.
Is there any way to set it so that when I get a call and the phone is locked by S2U2, that it just unlocks it and shows the phone UI?
Nevermind, I figured it out. Just disable the Caller ID feature.

s2u2 and the original htc "incoming call window"

hello!!!
I would like to know how can I disable the original incoming call window (with foto and slider). I have the S2U2, and I want to use the S2U2 incoming call window. But I cannot use it, because every time the original HTC HD2 window is "over" the S2U2...
I have the SPB MS. Also I use HD2 tweak, and BSB Tweaks...
best rgds!
install the cab "Touch X disable lock" at this thread: http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584415
This is a very good thread to do some mods, go over it and use whatever you want.

What version are you using? I believe the latest already incorporates a option to disable the original lock screen without installing a separate cab.
Might want to check their web site here
Hope this works for you!
I'm using the 2.40version. Ok, it's not a problem with the original lock screen...I don't have problems with the S2U2 lock screen, everything is working fine...the problem is with the original screen slider to receive the incoming call...S2U2 have his own screen slider ( S2A Caller ID) and I would like to use it...but I can't because the original HTC screen is always on the top...I don't see any option in the S2U2 option to disble this original HTC Caller ID...Also I cannot find any .cab to disbale it...
here you have the screen capture:

I think you'll have to ask this in the S2U2 thread, and not here...

WM 6.5 Slide Lock HELP

Hi there!
I have s2u2 installed and I use it as my primary lock. But sometimes when I use the lock function it locks it twice, so it locks with the windows mobile default lock AND s2u2 lock. I want to get rid of the windows mobile default slide lock, is there any way i can do this?
Thank you very much.
basically just go to the s2u2 settings under advanced and you will c an option to replace your WM system lock... slide the option to on and it should solve that issue
If that answer doesn't work for you, try installing Diamond Config (search for it) and disable the 'auto lock' feature.

[Q] HTC lock screen issues

first up, i have the S3 version of the phone, so instantly limited to the few ROMs out there for the HOS (currently running the BackToBasics2 ROM)
i have 2 annoying issues, both todo with the lock screen.
WITH the HTC lock screen
- i dont like the pull-for-unlock ring idea (bad)
- when i have pattern unlock enabled, i have to first use the ring, and then enter pattern (bad; 2 lock screens really)
- incoming call screen appears without the need to unlock the phone (good)
without the HTC Lock Screen
- 2 lock screen issue again; this time it's slide & then pattern unlock (bad)
- incoming call screen does not display without the need to unlock the phone (bad)
- a more stock ICS feel (good!)
i have a feeling i already know the answers i'm going to get, but is there any option to get rid of the HTC lock screen and the dual unlock issue, while keeping incoming call functionality? what I'd really like is to use the ICS lockscreen, but i'm open to other solutions.
I have considered the WidgetLocker app, but I've seen reports that you need to unlock the phone to see the incoming call screen.
