free "wallet" software? - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

Hi!
Anyone who has found a wallet software to store pin-numbers, codes, etc encrypted and password protected? I know spb has one, but I'm looking for a free, good one.

try KeePass for PPC. This is the winmo version of the popular multi-platform password program.
the gui is not as fanciful as some commercial version, but i actually prefer it's simplicity.

Thanks - that application works just fine for. I can live without any "blingbling" that other apps have - and that costs money.

Yep - I've been using KeePass for a long time, and it works brilliantly. I love the way that if you store your password file in My Documents, it synchronizes with your PC, and then you can use the desktop version of KeePass to access the file from your PC as well.
Fantastico!
Just make sure you use a good password to protect the file, in case you lose your phone. Don't make it easy for crooks to decrypt it and access all your stuff!

password wallet

hi all
is it available here a Pssword Wallet for HTC Touch Diomond
for cerating password protuction for documents ??
thanks
If by "password wallet" you mean a program that'll just store passwords, try KeePassPPC:
http://keepasssd.sourceforge.net/
Just grab KeePassPPC not KeePassSD (the second one's just an alpha release). It works great, i have been using it for a while now as a companion to PC version of keePass:
http://keepass.info/ There are also versions for mac linux, and "dumbphones" (java-based).
The best thing about it is that besides storing your passwords really securely encrypted and having a random password generator, the password database file created on one version can be used on any other platform. So i can have access all my passwords no matter if i'm on linux, windows, or away from computer and just using the pda - using exactly the same database
thanks mate
i,ll try it today

Steganos Privacy Suite Mobile ... tool collection?

Hi guys, has anybody heard of their software? It's commercial but maybe somebody already used it and has experiences with it?
Link is http://www.steganos.com/en/products/secure-travel/privacy-suite-mobile/overview/
[edit]
It has a password manager, ok, i use keepass on my cruise and on my pc sharing the database, not sure how good the steganos one is but bluetooth locking sounds interesting and safe too, i don't need a file shredder though.
Think I'll give it a try when I'm back home... will keep you informed if interested.
Hi!
I'm using Steganos Security Suite on the PC for a couple of years now. Created a "safe" for some private documents, I'd like to have on my notebook in the office too.
Created it with Version 5, and it's still operational. In the meantime I upgraded to Steganos 6 and 2006, and never lost any of the documents stored in the safe.
So please let me know your experience with the mobile suite, as I'm also interested in purchasing it for my device.
no reply?
okay: managed to install it into visual-studio's emulator. the safe looks quite okay, and is able to store all documents and folders.
once the safe is opened by entering it's password or picture-code, it's registered like an additional storage card. so from any explorer (resco, standard, totalcommander) you access your files directly, they are opened with it's associated programs.
that's a nice one.
other functionality as password-manager and encrpytion of files and folders is already known from other software.
currently I'm running a trial-version, maybe I will purchase it.

App for remembering codes?

Hi is there some app that can remember codes and passwords for credit cards etc. So that I can have a single password for the software and then I will be able to simply store and access the key codes in there.
I use eWallet: http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ewallet.php
It uses government-level (FIPS) 256-bit AES encryption. It also comes with desktop version that syncs with the mobile version.
I use SPB Wallet. It has a desktop app too. 256-bit encryption and backup. I keep all my credit cards, bank accts, software reg numbers, passwords, etc in it. The one app I cannot live without.
Those programs looks advanced.. There's many more features than I'll ever need and the price is a bit too high, compared that i don't have a million codes to store So is there some program that is a bit more simple? All i need is the ability to write a name (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) and then just a code i don't need any other fancy stuff, such a pc synchronization etc.

Maybe roboform mobile; even better if you have roboform on your desktop pc
I've used Roboform, eWallet and SPB. All are good but all are as simple or complicated as you need them. Never ran across anything simpler. Before these I just used an Excel spreadsheet for the passwords I needed. No encryption on it. I have never tried to encrypt a spreadsheet on my phone but if you might just try that and see how it works.
Another vote for eWallet, I updated to Version 7 last night which is even better suited to the Touch Screen of the HD2. It's very secure too. It automatically syncs to my desktop thus everything is always backed-up.
I wouldn't use a spreadsheet for sensitive information even on an encrypted card.
I use HandySafe. It has a desktop app too.
Very easy to use !
Look at keepass.info
It is free and safe
I second that!

file encryption that is dropbox and multi-platform?

I am looking for a file encryption app that is dropbox and multi-platform compatible. I currently use a truecrypt container stored in dropbox for sensitive files that I need under both windows and Linux. Unfortunately, truecrypt doesn't exist for android. So I'm looking for alternatives.
thoughts?

I'm in the same situation. Been hoping truecrypt would come out as an app, but no luck yet. I've been looking at RR File Locker. Looks pretty good and has some good reviews.

I have connections with people in investigation / forensics work, and if you have a decent lengthed truecrypt key then they aren't getting anywhere near your files. Honestly, I would stick with it as it's a proven application and provides top notch encryption.
wuala?
Maybe not answering your question exactly but you guys may want to check out Wuala. It works similar to dropbox (but has even more features) and securely encrypts your data before it leaves your machine (unlike dropbox). And of course, there is an android app.

Hey thanks sharkynolike. I was looking for something like DropBox but due to their security model I was not impressed. DropBox can (if they need to. i.e. warrant, etc) access your files. Wuala encrypts before the file is sent. No one but you has the password.
I did not know about Wuala. Just got storage space there. It is going to make a great backup location and the crypto sells it.
Skickat från min ASUS Eee Pad TF101
pgp?
Have you Considered pgp? Agp on my android and gnupgp on my pc combined with dropbox works for me...

Wuala seems to fit the bill and has a nice interface. Thanks

This is exactly the reason I recently switched from Dropbox. So far, I am really enjoying Wuala as it does everything dropbox could, plus more. I also like the fact that you can gain additional free storage by trading local storage. Anyway, glad you found it useful.

[Q] Best way to connect to PC?

I'm looking for the best/easiest way to remotely connect to my home PC via android.
What is the best combo app/software for this?
What do you want to do?
Transfer a file? Some file explorers on android (ES? Astro?) offer Samba functionality. Then there's Dropbox and google docs which synchronize between PC and Android.
Remote desktop? I'm always fond of LogMeIn Ignition, but it might be a bit on the expensive side. However, it just works, which can't always be said of the various RDP applications out there.
If you use Linux on your PC, you could also use SSH from Android.
I'm looking to remote desktop and I am using dropbox for file transfer.
I'll check out the free version of LogMeIn
TeamViewer !!!!
I use Logmein Ignition. $30 I know but it functions incredibly well. Can do everything I need to on remote systems very easily.
I found TeamViewer to be the best for free. It's awesome, full control and smooth. Thanks for the suggestion B-Man.
2X client is my favourite Remote Desktop client. It's free in Market.
But you need to be in the same network as You machine (or have a public address) or you can create a VPN connection (as I did). Works perfectly and it's free.
If you have too much money you can buy very very good LOGMEIN.
