I want to do a small menu for my WM6.5 MULTIplugin:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523015
I imagined something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
...that is supose to show 4 options.
I tried it with many softwares and also mortscript and was able to go as far as this:
But is ugly compared to the original idea... IS there some sort of application like a menu, even if it doesnt allow skinning, but at least that looks like a system message window?
---edit---
Already tried Mortbuttons, FingerMenu and launcher.
Do yourself a favour and learn some .NET programming. Then you can do this yourself in C# or even VB.Net.
As a webdesigner I already taught myself to code in BATCH files, HTML/XML, AS2 (Flash) and recently Mortscript... I could do more if I had any programming bases, but that and my love for Math is the reason why I chosed arts...
It seems simple enough to do, and with a little INI file it could be easy to change, but I simply dont know how to do it and it would time some time to get that done in a new language.
Also tried FLOATME:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282913
...to see if I could change the size if the mortscript menu, and so make it float, but no luck...
I found this great application:
http://www.saman-cz.com/ppc/nmnovrw.html
And it may work for what I want, It just needs to be much bigger:
Is there any way to change this without messing up the rest of the system messages?
I remenbered that I can do that with FingerMenu, that I can enable and disable after use, but its a little buggy on some machines still and the disable sometimes fails and its more 300kb just for that effect... :/
Just to post in the current status, I found this great menu kvvQuickMenu:
http://kvv.my1.ru/load/6-1-0-43
..and I'm having some bugs still, but I believe its on a good path.
For the record, I also found FSMenu:

...but its only in russian...

Can you PM me some good C++ and VB.Net and C# programming applications to do some programming? I want to learn on my own but I need some suggestions for the best programs for this.

I've been getting more and more annoyed with the standard speed dial in wm5. You have to press on the the relatively small number to dial the contact, cause if you tap the name you go to the edit part. Besides that it just looks really dull and doesnt match any theme.
Does anyone know of an alternative app for this? Preferably something you can get or make skins for...
(I have searched google and this site for hours btw)
thanks,
Robert
not quite sure what you are refering to, do you mean you would like bigger numbers on the dial pad? if so do a search for the eten dialer.
Maybe you would prefer a photo dialer? there are plenty around.
Alternatively try searching for MS voice command it is so easy to use and that is the only way i 'dial' numbers.
No i mean the actual speed dial part. It kind of looks like this:
1. Voicemail
1233
2. John Smith
1234567890
etc.
What i find annoying is that you have to press on the speeddial number (so like 2. for john smith), instead of the name. If you tap the name it brings up the edit screen. Besides that it looks very dull (grey and white).
I see what you mean about a photo dialer, but i dont want to use up precious space on the today screen.
Therefore i was hoping there might be some other app around, preferably one you can customize with skins or something. I haven't been able to find anything so I guess there isn't?
Maybe i should try asking in the Development and Hacking forum? Maybe someone there can put something together? I cant imagine it would be too complicated? Or am i asking(expecting) too much?

You like these?
This speed dial is the one I got in my E-ten, doesn't look great, though works beatifully!
I love to use this one in the car.
Couldn't find it in the extended dir but I could extract it and make you a cab if you like it.
if you could?
this looks promising
Im trying to set up UC on my Raph, i read quite a bit using Alreader.
I dont think it stores any settings in the registry so im guessing they're stored in one of the .ini files
nothin said:
it is BEST ebook reader so far for me.
of course, someone will say booo ubook is better, maybe, but it is MUCH slower and MUCH heavier...and FAR less configurable. alreader is VERY compact program with massive amount of options, hyphenation etc(look inside rar).
it has profiles, that can be switched with...BUTTON - in fact, VERY much things can be mapped to buttons..
btw, there's NOTHING better to read .doc files(lol @ ubook in that matter, just LOL) - awesome loading times.
alreader is in english, here's rar:
http://www.mm.pl/~xoen/AlReader0131.rar
it is able to use many codepages, so far i tested russian, polish, english ebooks.

what's VERY interestin that it can handle html pages too:
imo, it is best thing you can use in ROM kitchens.
my OEMpack(preconfigured 2 profiles etc):
http://www.mm.pl/~xoen/!xoalread.rar
only thing is for sure: it may take some time to get around options. some of them are available when file is opened(it may be strange for someone).
i can recommend this soft.
btw, for everyone, that is using apps operating with text - glyphcache set to 131072 or MORE can really speed up performance of programms, not sad 8192, 32768, just more - >131072 can be used. value is in bytes, so it is not strain for system...
sorry for funny english, i can read, can't write...:S

left button - back one page
right button - forwards one page
any help would be appreciated.
i made a .cab from the above post if its of use to anyone.
Anyone knows a cab to have the time and date with the battery icon at the same time even if a program its open?

This is extremely useful!!
+1 I need it too
it will be very very useful.
Don't know, but did you try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544979
Don't know if it"s compatible with LEO though
try batti . Its good
that prog doesnt work properly on my hd2. it just shows '26/' overlaid ontop of the battery sign. doesnt seem to have an uninstall feature, its now messed up my taskbar
right, it won't work
@vinokirk
same prob, cant uninstall it
edit:
for uninstall you have to do this things:
for now u have to delete following reg entries by hand ..
HKLM\\Software\\Microsoft\\Shell\\
delete -> TBOpt
delete -> ShowTitleBarClock
HKLM\\nls\\overrides
delete -> SSDte
delete -> S1159
delete -> S2359
delete -> STFmt
and then soft reset

I recommend TouchLockPro (http://www.zuinigerijder.com/). It is lightweight, the battclock is excellent, and you don't really need to use the locking mechanism - though that is also very good. (I used it on my HD, and it was the first thing I installed on the Leo.)
This is a interesting topic without any answer.
Someone have a clue ?
ooh i would like this too
You mean it should looks like this:
I found a perfect program on XDA that could do this and also it is adding a lot of methods for locking the HD2. Highly recommended!!!
View attachment TouchLockPro.2.9.CAB
View attachment Settings.zip
Yes, that's it. But that means one have to install another lockscreen app, right ?
I already saw this solution, but I don't want to install another lockscreen app.
But thanks for your reply ! =]
But you can disable all locking futures in it and just live clock/battery mods.
You can give a try to kBattery. And then you can make it look like this :
You can enter setup and change the colors and some settings by tap&holding your finger on the battery.
Cheers,
Nibbler.
as alternative way, you can use wm 6.5.3 based rom.
battery and clock displaying all the time in taskbar.
I don't like kBattery because it slows down the HD2. Just take a look at the clouds in Sense and you'll see how they stutter when kBattery is activated.
Have a look at BattClock v1.20 instead http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-battclock.html
I had to make a couple of changes in the registry to make it fit perfectly and now I'm very happy.
The made the following changes in HKCU\Software\ZunigeRijder\LockSettings
ClockForeground=16777215
ClockHeight=48
ClockWidth=66
ClockX=4294967190
FontSize=20
Brgds... /TubGirl
BattClock rules !
Indeed, this is really a good light app.
Thanks Tubgirl !
Now, I apologize in advance for this very...VERY ugly/horrific looking program, but I just whipped it together to save peoples time. I didn't really have too much time to make a typical 'qberty' styled GUI for this app, but it still does what it needs to do. Speaking of which.
The 'Unknown Sources' Enabler

(Don't ask about the background, i don't know why its purple )
This application runs on a windows pc. This application allows ANY user with ANY Android ROM with ANY Android phone to enable the 'Unknown Sources' option without physically going there to switch it on.
Why would you want to do that? Well, I first had the need to do this because of a certain ROM (Eagle Eye) that did not even have this option. So this application allows anyone without this option (or just wants to enable US a lot quicker) to do that nice and easy without having to sift through ADB's functions and SQLites confusion.
With an easy click this app will make the change on any android powered device.
Direct Download @ 0m3ga
If more people are actually interested in this a lot more, i will expand on it, depending on user feedback. Otherwise, there are no future release plans.
And also to the people wondering why I keep posting universal applications in this section of the forum. I have an HTC Magic 32A. So, I stick around here 98% of the time, so this is where i post 'em.
aaah, only windows version? hehe what about me and all linux users
Thanx for the tool man!
i'm uppping a patch for the rom today, which makes this tool not needed sorry

It wont be needed once you patch YOUR rom. But I have seen other people have this problem with some other roms.
Also, a linux version is possible, if more people want it.
sorry was not meant to be rude or anything, but yes it was meant that in eagle eye it's fixed in the rom now
Would this work on an official ROM? Say, to enable sideloading on a Samsung Captivate where this option isn't in the menus?

This will work on any ROM, any Device that supports ADB. As stated in the first post, all this does, is enable 'Unknown Sources' for people too lazy to go and enable it themselves or they don't even have that option.
OK so this is a sort of experimental app that needs some testers. It's not in play yet but the apk is attached to the bottom of the OP. I'm just curious how many people would find something like this useful and wonder if I should carry on making it or just abandon it. Basically the app works as a sort of shortcut for frequently typed phrases or whatever that you may constantly type out that you may not want to. So you create a keyword and a string of text associated with that keyword. You can now cycle through keywords via the widget or the app itself and click on the keyword and have the associated text copied to clipboard for easy pasting wherever you may want
widget usage:
- Click left/right arrows to cycle database
- Click keyword/string to copy to clipboard

Would you mind explaining it a little better?

I didn't get it. What exactly does it do?
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda premium
http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Hotstrings.htm
That link will give you an idea of what they are. I think what needs to happen for this to be worthwhile is a needs a custom kb to work with since you are unable to interact with these keywords in other apps(hence the clipboard). With a keyboard I could have a keyword for a really long bit of a text and I just type the keyword out and it will autoreplace with the associating string saving you time.

Basically, you create short texts that expand to the full phrase/sentence you like. The only similar app I found was https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.agileapps.autocorrecteditor&feature=search_result which has fairly negative reviews and still has 500-1000 downloads. I expect this is about the size of audience the hotstrings app would get, perhaps slightly more if it is rated more positively.
Hi I know this is old but I'm looking for something like this! I had this option on my iPhone way back when, it's the only thing I miss about it. I use the Swype keyboard so I don't know if that will conflict with your app but it's worth a shot! The link seems to be down, is there any way I could get this apk to try out?
