I just noticed that the Tasks screen on my MDA is T Mobile UK branded....they have taken off Email & Messaging and replaced it with Album & Google Maps.
See the attachment I added is the HTC version, and that is what I want. When I slide keyboard out, I like to be able to tap either messaging or Email and type away, not Album & Google Maps!
So is there a way to remove those 2 and put Email & Messaging back?

You could use the "New Landscape" by 12aon here:

That looks good, would definitely try it, but as it's T-Mobile branded, the MDA is a little, shall we say..."Pink" themed and this little app's colour wouldn't look right lol
Is there a way at all, to replace the Album & Google Maps in the Tasks Screen with Email & Messaging? I looked in the registry and can find nothing obvious....

I'm not 100% sure, but if you change the theme using TF3D Config, it should carry over the email & messaging, that way you won't have that maps and album button
Ok well, this is all very confusing, so I think I will give up for now.
I was just told that the only way to change the buttons in the Tasks Screen (when you slide the keyboard out) is to re-flash the ROM with HTC's own ROM.
I have never flashed a ROM in my life, don't understand the instructions, so I think I will leave it for the time being and put up with T Mobile's silly "pink" TouchFLO 3D (I hate branding lol). The New Landscape by 12aon is black themed, but T Mobile's theme is pink, so I don't think it'd work lol.

I am sure i've seen videos of the HTC Polaris where people can enter a menu through Touch Flo to go straight to making a:
- new task
- new sms
- new mms
- new email
- new calender
etc.
I, however, cant find it... Any ideas where to get it from?

Will, I have installed Action Screen 2 and can acces it through 'Programs'.
Would you know how to include it in the TouchFlo, so it appears as a screen there just like for example the Pictures, Videos and Music screen?

There are no settings available on the device for TF3D however there are tweeks available on this forum. However, i still can't find a way to make the calender part show future appointments / next appointments a week in advance.

I would love to have my old Pocketweather back on the today screen.
I also want my tasks and Agile Messenger status back on this screen.
I have the idea that it's impossible.
Now I use my old today screen without the TouchFlo3D . But now I cannot use that nice people option etc.
Do I have to wait for a tweak from sombeody of you, or am I doing something wrong?

i seen someone that had on their today screen the option to read emails as soon as they came thru and it notified you on the today screen like it does with new SMS messages...
i really like the iphone dialer and i'd like to see which contacts are ringing me so is there a phot contacts program??
i'm not to bothered about any of the closing programs or task managers or commander stuff or battery bars,,
if someone could help me find the things i would need to make a rom like this i would really appreciate it.
or if anyone can reconmend something that shows the info when emails arrive on the today screen then that would be cool...

Hi guys , I have the Vox with WM6.1 CLEAN v1.4 by fireburned on it.
I have activated channels and configured channel 50 ( display cell info.) . I am on Voda UK, so they send out your local dialling code on to this channel.
When i load most themes (e.g Wireless home theme, windows home screen) the cell info is there, and updated as I would want.
I have recently installed Fring, and it's on that theme homescreen too. but I cannot get it to work on any sliding panel screen, I have even tried copy and paste the relevent lines from a working homescreen .xml into a sliding panel one, but to no avail.
Does anybody know a plug-in that will display cell info on a sliding panel homescreen.

Sorry to bump, I assume this is not possible?
You would have to write a plugin. Look in the Smartphone General Subforum, there is a guy who wrote a tasks plugin, maybe he can help you!

i bought my Touch2 from Orange, it's branded (i don't mind) but thous guys deleted the YouTube app from the ROM.
i downloaded the YouTube app for Qvga devices, it works fine, but i cannot scroll down (because I don't have a D-pad) and there is no scroll bar on the app.
could somebody extract this app from the original Rom, or the settings files... or what do I need to scroll down ?

Just go to http://m.youtube.com/app and there you will be able to download and install the Youtube App.
I have no idea if it's specially designed for the Mega, but it works just fine, even in landscape mode.
The same goes for Google Maps if anyone is interested. The adress is http://m.youtube.com/app .

Same here, damn orange. Regarding orange branding, if found that you can enable google maps widget by editing the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila2D:LocationWidget and set DWORD to 1. You must have google maps installed to work.
Another problem is the internet widget where all kind of orange services icons appear. The problem is that they created a new key in internet widget that they called HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila2D\InternetWidget\CustomizedGridView. The old Key "Customized" is still there but the phone uses only CustomizedGridView. I tried to delete the CustomizedGridView hoping the Customized key will take over but the tab now was empty. Does anyone know what or where should I edit the phone or registry so that uses the Customized key settings, not the ugly Orange branded CustomizedGridView.
