CAB files should be copied directly to your XDA and run with file explorer to install whatever software is in the CAB. RAR files are compressed files that are probably best viewed using WinRAR, do a search on google and you will find a free trial download. Hope this helps

Also, why is it that files attached to posts in this board cannot be seen despite signing in using PPC. No problem when viewing from desktop PC

I have a PDA with Internet Explorer Mobile 6 and I cannot download and auto-execute exe files as i was doing with previous versions of PIE. I can only download the exe file and then browse to the destination folder and execute it. Is there any security setting I can change to get the previous behaviour?

I use HTC HD mini, windows mobile 6.5 professional
Every time i try to install a cab file, it opens as an internet browser with codes in it, at first i thought that's the cab file is corrupted but i tried with so many others, they all appear as an internet browser, i tried to install sdkcerts.cab but it also appears as a browser, i couldn't install any cab files either by copying and pasting it in the device or by using CAB via ActiveSync1.5
any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
