call recording WM 6.5 - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

i use to be able to record phone call with the 6.1 version. had installed this little cab "2_Way_Plus_InCall_Recording" that enabled the voice recording option in the phone menu.
i really need that option, anybody knows how i can fix that. beside going back to 6.1
maybe installing the old phone dialer, or a cab that would solve that
thanks
ROM: Tom.topaz.wm6.5

I use 6.5 and i got it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=515446
and it works on my TD2. When you are pressing the record button, there is no animation...
but the outcomming file is here: a wav file is saved in /My Documents/Notes

My Answer and Ignore buttons do not work on incoming calls!

As my subject says, does anyone know where in the registry I should look to fix this? I have been uninstalling and reinstalling S2U2 since about version 0.72 or so and been using it's callerID function as well. So maybe between all the reinstalls somehow my registry has been corrupted? I noticed recently my call pickup and ignore wasn't working in S2U2 caller ID and thought it might be an S2U2 problem. But I uninstalled S2U2 and when I click Answer or Ignore from the WM6 default callerID, it does nothing! It highlights the button as if I were pressing it, but doesn't do anything. Can anyone help guide me for where I should look in the registry? Or any other advice? I have an HTC P4000 (Canadian CDMA Titan) with the carrier (Telus) default ROM of WM6 that it came with.

Brockmo,
When this happens do you have a current connection via EvDO active or dormant? Are you in EvDO coverage or 1X. I have similar problems too with and without S2U2. I have had better luck with 2.17 OS and 1.47.01 radio, if I press the hard talk key several times it will pickup, I found disabling constant evdo connection definately helps. Blackberry is still the ultimate push solution, WM6 is ok, but there is definate issues with prioritizing Voice over Data. Voice should be the #1 priority over any thing else.

WM6 and Bluetooth headset invoked Voice dialing gone!

I've done a ton of reading and searches, but can't seem to figure this one out. With my old WM5 official rom, I could voice dial, that is invoke the "Recognize Voice Tag" Prompt over bluetooth (i.e. press the button my bluetooth headset, say the person's name, and the phone would call them). Now with my WM6 rom (VJ grace's 3.7<<<excellent rom btw!), I have lost that ability. I can still redial and answer calls using my headset, but I can't voice dial.
I've seen threads on MS Voice Command and getting it to work in WM6, but I think that is more full featured than what I had, and from what I can tell, that only works with WM Professional devices.
Someone help or point me in the right direction please!!! I'm stumped
This was a known problem of current ROM. And I say "was" because I solved it a few minutes ago. With my new ROM (available in a few days) you will be able to voice dial over bluetooth!
Thanks for the response! How can I implement that fix into my current setup w/o reflashing? Everything is just working so seemlesly now, I don't want to reflash just for a dll and/or a registry entry.
BTW, thanks for the headway into WM6 ROMs, it really breathed new life into my Tornado.
I was planning on releasing this fix only with my new ROM, but what the hell.... Here is it!
Remove the .txt extension and import the .reg file using the appropriate registry editor (eg. Resco Registry Editor).

HELP - no ringtones on incoming calls

Hi all,
I was trying to install some custom dialpad skins (which didn't work) and now non of my incoming ringtones work. I have them all selected in notifications and can play them back there but incoming calls make no sound.
I think I remember reading this could happen somewhere and there was a regfix you had to do but I don't know what it is.
Any help appreciated
Joel
NO sound on incoming phone call
Hey Pal, Same here. I loaded the HTC dialer on wm 6.5 v23620. It worked fine for 2 days but thereafter there's been no sound. Can somebody send the cab file or a link to fix this bug.

[Solved] Cyberion VSD wont start with BT button

Hey fellow Raphael users
I have always been using original rom with Cyberion Voice Speed Dial with my Blutooth car stereo.
I could hit the voice dial button on the stereo, Cyberion voice speed dial popped up and I could say a name etc etc....
I then decided to flash a custom ROM, I tried EnergyROM 3 (WM 6.5) with MS Voice command. Even then, I could hit the voice dial button and MS Voice Command launched.
But I didn't like MS VC, so I reflashed again with EnergyROM 3 without MSVC and installed the Cyberion VC from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296337
Cyberion Voice speed dial works fine, but I can't use the voice dial button, the app just doesn't launch. I checked the registry setting in above thread, they seem all fine.
Is this an issue with 6.5? Did anybody successfully installed CVSD with BT button working?
Help please
storm
OK, I solved this:
This is what I tried without success:
-Changing registry values to call SDDialer.exe / OEMAGW.DLL instead of Voicecmd.exe / btagext.dll
-Overwrite OEMAGW.DLL / SDDialer.exe with versions from original ROM
-Installed update from Cyberion which should fix BT Button
-Installed EnergyROM 3.0 with MSVC and installed CVSD and tried all of the above again
-Searched the registry for other keys containing Voicecmd.exe
Nothing of this helped. What I did to solve it:
Use Resco Explorer to copy SDDialer.exe to Voicecmd.exe (accept warning about ROM file) and it works....
I really don't see why the registry changes didn't help, it looks like Voicecmd.exe is hard coded somewhere (registry settings have no effect)
I hope this helps somebody else who wants CVSD instead of MSVC

In Call Recording?

I tried the In Call Recording Cab and I don't think it's working. I have a verizon TP2. Anyone else get it to work on your CDMA TP2? Also, where do you find the option if it is working?
I had no issues. Just install, do a reboot (or not, I'm not sure if it's required or not).
During a call, press the menu soft key and tick record call. To find the call, fire up notes and you should see it. Set Notes to record audio to the storage card and you shouldn't have any storeage issues.

Confirmed working on my VZW TP2....
As stated before, open the "Notes" program and hit "options" and select the storage card as the place to store the notes.
Next make a call, hit "options" look for the "record call" option and ur good to go. When you end the call it automatically ends the recording so you do not have to go to "options" again and do that part.
After you end the call, run the "Notes" program and you will see the media files with the date and time as the name. Thats your call recording.
Here is the link to orginial thread on the topic.....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536472

I like ACR works real well. automatic too!
Ive been using ACR as well. Its automatic so I dont have to think about it. It labels the calls really well with caller ID info and time stamps. I just have to remember to clean out my "call recording" folder once in awhile ). I think you can set it to only record when you trigger it as well.

You need to follow the two steps bellow:
1. To enable 2 way recording just change:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"VocRecPath"=dword:00000002and you'll be able to record with any software.
2. If you want to use WM6 native recording (WAW only, on \my documents\notes, manual activation: during a call hit "record" on call menu) create:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\AudioRecording]
"Enabled"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Voice]
"EnableCallRecordMenuItem"=dword:00000001
"AllowInCallRecording"=dword:00000001

The nice thing about ACR is the way you can set it to record every call, BUT to have a screen pop up AFTER the call to offer you the option to keep it or not. Simply choose Yes or No after the call
you guys had to install cab's for this..?? my phone came with this option 100% stock...
I cant get the recording to be recorded to the storage card. I tried to set notes to save to the storage card in the options for "notes" but that didnt work. tried to change location settings in advanced config to put "my documents" on the storage card and that didnt work either.
How do i make the phone record to the storage card?
is there a reg change or something i need to do to make this possible.
