Hi all,
I try to run the openvpn scripts for the dream on our magic, but with no success. I don´t know if it´s a problem with the kernel version or the tun.ko module. did someone know how to load the tun.ko modul on the magic?
It only come included in the ADP rom version? Do i need to compile it with the magic kernel?
Thanks...
No one know about how to load tun.ko module in magic? come on android gurus!!!!
let me see a bit of light
there is an ADP rom for de magic? that include the modules (tun.ko)?, maybe the ION rom?
Come on android kernel hackerks, no one know about the modules????
JF 1.51 ADP has tun.ko.
*Bump* I too would love to have VPN working from off my Android device. Nobody did this before?
For what do you need this? University or some other alike networks? It's possible for me to use besides openvpn a WPA2 Enterprise connection with TTLS and certificates... maybe it's possible for you too. Then try "Wifi Helper Pro/lite"!
Common poteck, answer him already!
EDIT: ooops I didn't realize how old this thread was.

Hello
Does anyone knows a Kernel or Module for this funktion (and maybe fuse, ext2,3,4) for my HTC Magic 32B running SuperFroyo-8.4 Kernel 2.6.35.7?
Or another Rom with these plus cifs and tun?
I googled around about 5 days and nothing found for this (for Droid it exists: in WEB: p3designs.info/kernels)
I'm very happy if one of you guys can help me
Edit: I used Cyanogen 5,8, 6.0 and 6.1 before and someone told me that at least in 5.8 is nfs support but it wasn't..)
really noone knows?
please!
Hi guys. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong secction. I saw that Acer Iconia guys can use 3g dongles via some mods. Here's the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14603952
Just wondering if any of the talented devs around here can make this too on the Xoom?
Thanks!
This looks cool. I have a Huawei dongle... have you tried this procedure?
This is interesting, sadly i don't have root to test it, but this could be reason to root...
ok I've tried but it doesn't work seems to be related with option.ko and usb_wwan.ko not compiled for kernel version 2.6.36.4 but 2.6.36.3
do you know if any devs are looking in to this?
Somebody knows , when someone will compile this module to current kernel version of XOOM???
Hi,
I have a rooted Nexus with ICS stock 4.0.3 and Matr1x kernel. I have been trying to install OpenVPN but with no luck!
I downloaded the latest OpenVPN Installer from the market, tried different combinations of options but hasn't been successful to get OpenVPN installed into my /system/xbin/openvpn !
Has anyone been able to get OpenVPN running on Nexus with ICS?
Haven't seen OpenVPN in ICS yet. 'Some_Person' has made a thread for OpenVPN working on GB. You might ask if he has a solution working for ICS:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102130&highlight=openvpn
I dont have a phone with ICS yet but here is the official ICS release. I can confirm for you that if you have root and the tun module, then you can use openvpn-installer and openvpn-settings to get openvpn running. The goog gave a VPN API, so now you dont need to root your phone or install tun.
you can just use this:
swupdate.openvpn.net/beta-downloads/OpenVPN-RC1.apk
To my knowledge there are no docs on using it yet, but one of the devs mentioned needing to use inline CA for now. Here is a link which explains how to use an inline CA.

Hey,
Just wondering if anyone has or is working on a Nethunter Kernel for OP7 Pro.
Everything but the kernel with wifi adapter support is already in Magisk, so just the kernel is needed these days.
Damn, I guess it's not needed here.
Get source for one of the custom kernels that are already available . And then apply the net Hunter kernel patches and compile
https://github.com/offensive-security/kali-nethunter/wiki/Modifying-the-Kernel
Let us know that works out for you...
so one must use the source from a custom kernel and not the official? what is the reason for that?
was considering to try and build one but has never done it before, watching this video it doesn't look that hard
something else I should have thought about before trying to build one?
Did anybody get the nethunter kernel complied I get errors Everytime I do it ,hoping somebody else had better luck and would not mind sharing
