hello everyone!!
as this forum keeps me constantly flashing my devices, i think i would be able to configure a frehly flashed phone in my sleep. but as i actually dont want to do that and configuring two times a week gets boring, i am looking for a way to autmatically apply basic settings & changes by running a single cab file....
what i want it to do:
- regional settings
- keyboard layout (soft & hardware keyboard)
- sounds & notification settings
- message settings (delivery confirmation, email account, ...)
- weather tab settings
- ... (please post, if i forgot something usefull...)
i know i once read something about how to do that, but cant find the information anymore... so if someone could point me in the right direction, i would be gratefull!
what di you think about that idea in general?

you need to read up on Sashimi
Or try hunting down those entries on the registry, export them and then convert them into cabs ..

If you tweak those registry using Advance Config, you can save it (export) and later load it again (import). However, for things that is not covered on Advance Config, you have to do the SKTools manually .. I did that for several items and it works out ok ..

I have extracted this phone profiler from O2 plus 2.3. It is a very small signature (50kB) and very crisp program. I hope you shall find it useful....
It is a cab file. Just remove .zip and use it as cab file...

Just install, so what next for me to see or setting this profile. Sorry if my question look stupid. Thanks, i'm goi it after soft reset & actice the sound profile in today menu. Great job. This easier for me to switch to any profile when require. No need phonealarm at all. Again Well Done.

Install it on main memory instead of storage card ot RAMDisk..

Can somebody please cook this in in a wm6 Rom!!! This is a great breakthrough At last, my waiting is over
It's already in many WM6 roms (like Xplore 1.1). If it isn't in yours you can install the cab from that thread.

Isn't there a way to make this option user friendly? It would be great if some of the genius wm6 cooks could manage to make a nice GUI for this function!!!
There has to be one of those gurus that are willing to implement this functionality "straight out of the box"!!!

The only thing you have to do is:
1.: take the _setup.xml
2.: put your sip settings into the filds (like _password_)
3. make a cab file with cabarc
4. install settings to xplore 1.1
5. Enable Internet telefone when available
-- and you did it!

No I cannot - because this are all my settings with password, sipclient and so on.
Just tell me the problem.
For me: I had to try severel folders to put the _setup.xml -> so I tried in cabarc main, then in "include" and so on. suddenly I had the .cab. I think the xml has to be in the mainfolder. Then you got to promt and type "cabarc N settiings.cab _setup.xml" and it done.
I've looked all over and can't get a search to find what i'm looking for....
Is there some kind of reg edit that will turn off the "no phone signal" blip you get with motorola bt headsets? It's annoying when i'm using my Wizard for VOIP or another use. When I turn my phone off, it also seems to turn off my VOIP phone. I think the easiest thing would be to just turn off the no phone status audio notification i get with both my H300's & HT820's. Hopefully someone knows of a prior post or how to do it. Thanks
hello everyone, long time member of howardforums and just joined xda and find some very usefull info, thank you all. i ran into a small problem last night. i have a tilt , not flashed but i have installed the htc home screen and everything worked great. last night i tryed to install the touchflo program found in a few places in this forum and it didn't work but thats when the interesting stuff happen....after deleting all touchflo cab files and restarting the tilt every time at startup it gives me a warning " FTouchFlo.exe cannot be open, its either not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components can not be found. try reinstalling or restoring file." ????? and now the icon that used to be under the clock for favorite people that would send me their pics so i can just one touch dial is GONE? tryed installing the cab for the htc homescreen again but the same....there is a music short cut that lets me launch the music player that wasn't there before? i downloaded the htc home plugin customisor and even when i set for 6 icons on the bottom of the clock it still just gives me 5?
at the end of the day i would like to have the touchflo program but its not a big deal if i dont, i would however really like to have the pic dialer back on my screen as its really convinient to dial my fav people with it.thanks in advance

Keys are in the registry. To access and change the registry you need a registry viewer/editor. There are many but for simple "everyday" use this is a good one:

Be careful though delete the wrong things and you'll end up needing a hard reset.

PHM downloads as a .MSI windows installer. So it will not install properly unless you have your device connected via active sync when you run the downloaded file. So connect your device via usb cable. Let active sync connect and update. Then while still connected run the installer download. During the process a message will pop up on your device. If a choice is offered it will be ok to install to storage card if you have one.

Hey guys, I have a quick question.
Is it possible to have the unlock codes of purchased applications already in the cab when I'm cooking it?
So I don't have to do input them every time I make an adjustment to my rom.
Unfortunately I won't be sharing the rom... I have a conscience.

As for your first question, it is possible but time consuming and tricky. What you'll have to do is find out where the key goes when insterted in the program into the registry (there are programs to see how the registry is altered after a certain move). After that, you'll have to insert that key into the CAB (probably better to do it before making the OEM) which you'll have to use something like WinCE CAB manager. This can be done to most programs and games, not all though.

No, i've never seen that nor do i think it's possible. I really wanted to do the same thing, however going through many threads and asking so many people about it, i figured it was easier to manually register everything.

Use Sashimi auto Installer for REG files.
fire use PHM to make a backup of your REG
then register
use PHM again
use find the adjusted REG edits using a REGistry comparer
put the REG files into Sashimi, read up on SAshimi to set it up. and his website has more info on how to do exactly what i said above. incl video
it took me all of 3 hours to learn sashimi and its great..

most roms have a utility that will allow network settings to be automatically retreived
settings will have to be done from scratch
look for a program called pimbackup to save numbers
and
you can do a search for compatible keyboard aound the internet
but how to know that it is compatibil, das it depand on wm6.1 or diamond by akeo, or ...what?
this phone is too smart or i am too stupid
