Software for grid coordinates - General Questions and Answers

Hey all, I am in the army. We use 6-10 digit grid coords for our mapping, and I am searching for some software that can show me what coord i am at, and that I can input a coord. Mapping is not necessary but a plus. Anyone know what I should use?

This program only for PocketPC. Or I'm wrong?
That program is intended to be used on PocketPC, but you can run it on smartphone as well. However it has many problems. First of all you cannot cahnge settings(you need touchscreen for that). But you can use some tool like PocketController to change those settings.
I would recommend this though: http://maniac.fschreiner.de/content/view/8/19/

Ок, thanks. And what buttons will block/unblock the device on smartphone?
Normally you would unlock the keyboard like on iPhone. But since there is no touchscreen on smartphones you need to go to settings and change DPAD setting to on and Hide all softkeys to ON. To do that use something like pocket controller so you can swith those settings. Then you will unlock the keyboard using the right softkey.
I wonder if the developer could make a smartphone version. Since the program works well on smartphone, the only change would have to be made to the settings window (which does not work without touchscreen) and also the key to unlock the keys (which is not too... secure). But I love that program.

It can be used for smartphone too, if you know how to edit your registry. You can use dpad to unlock (right button) you can even hide the "slide to unlock" bar, it is very good software
Thanks to all!!! And I have some new questions:
1. Whether it is possible to add FizzWeather to this program? For example, as SPB Weather.
2. How to change the font size of appoiment & date?

Does anyone know how to change jog dial/scroll wheel speed?

Scrolling with the up/down buttons on the keypad can be made faster in settings. But what about the jog dial? Its set a little slow for my taste, are their any registry entries that control it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

How do you do that in settings?
I'll add voice to that - actually for me it's a bit fast, it does a whole screen on email for instance, whereas line-by-line would be MUCH better
Thanks

Goto Start Menu>>Settings>>Buttons, then click on the "Up/Down Control" Tab. The device will feel a lot faster after speeding it up. I keep mine set a bit further than the fourth tick as the higher settings are probably only useful if you tend to scrolling through a lot of stuff.

Hmm, interesting, I didn't really even realise that for e-mails as I primarily scroll using TouchFlo inside of e-mails. My reasoning is that I want to use the Scroll Wheel in HTC Audio Manager like I would use it on an IPod, but currently, its set too slow for really efficient use.
Thanks for your help
No one knows about??? The scrolling speed using then D-Pad wheel is too low....... three-four laps to scroll just one row........ :-(

Try this registry tweak found by me yesterday.
Greate the key in HKCU\ControlPanel\keybd\ named JogWheelSensitivity type DWORD
Value 0 is max sensitivity. More value - min sensitivity.

anyway to remap the keyboard?

i was thinking about my mogul and the keyboard there is nice since there is an OK key, START key and two option keys. I wish there was a way where we could remap the ****ion keys. God knows i don't need the Euro, t9, british pound. If we could remap a couple of those keys or add a couple say to ZXCV i think it would make the key board perfect. that way if sensor lock is enabled i don't have to unlock to do what i'm trying to do.

you could always try ae button plus
PQzII will get the job done for free. Just don't assign commands to pre-existing shortcuts (eg: ctrl+z/x/c/v for undo/cut/copy/paste) or you'll get some weird behavior.

hey thanks! PQzII worked perfect for my purpose. i was able to make shortcuts to symbols that were usually hard to reach! recommended program! you can do much more even, like make keyboard shortcuts to programs.

That program looks interesting but doesn't work all at for me.
When I click it a small white square appears above the start menu and does nothing. If I try to switch to the program, also nothing happens. And worst of all, if I close it the device stops responding completely, and I have to soft reset. I'm using the Raphael specific version, 0.0.8e2. Do you have any clue on what might be happening?

Is it possible to "reprogram" some of the keys on the keyboard?

Just got my first Raphael and was wondering if it was possible to reprogramme some of the keys, so when I press FN and A I get another letter like Á.

you know i was thinking about that the other day. maybe a way to utilize fn+ the unused letter keys to put in some characters that are not on the keyboard. like adding \ or tab or control keys. if anybody has a solution.

"professional mode" help in LayerPaint

Pretty new to the note world and have been trying a few different apps for drawing. My current favorite is LayerPaint, but one thing I cant figure out is what the squiggly line with off, 1, 2 ,3 ,4 and 5 does on the floating toolbar. no matter what option I choose, nothing appears to change with what I am drawing.
Can some one explain for me?
Thanks

answer from the dev...
That option means "Hand shake (hands movement) correction".
Value is more (4, 5), more strokes shake (noise) removed.
If you don't perceive correction, your stroke is already good, maybe
