hi i ve searched this forum about this problem but no solution were found
like titel said, the sound of my touch pro is realy loud even with 1 bar...
is there a solution to lower the sound ?
i know with windows media player i can lower the sound to 5% but it use alots of battery, my phone will be empty in 4 or 5 hours..
so anyone help me ?
if you are looking for an mp3 player i use htc audio manager, should be able to find a .cab for this floating around. you can use its volume control in 5% increments while on lowest system volume increment. I had the same problem, losing my hearing heh.

Hey everyone:
When I change the Volume on the Device or on the E100 Remote Control it always changes the setting in 20% Steps. Before I bought the Raphael I got the xda nova. On the nova I changed the volume direct in the Audio-Manager (as it is called on my german device).
So now I want that feature on the Raphael. Or:
I want to change the volume in smaller steps. Lets say 2% steps.
Now when I listen to music I got the systemvolume on 9% normally. on 20% its already TOO loud.
Any Ideas?
sorry for my bad english. hope you all understood.

Run Advanced Config Tool, select HTC Audio Manager, change Music player volume to.. let's say 10%. Done, Yes

Click to collapse
try this registry setting :
- \HKLM\Software\HTC\Audiomanager_Eng\Config\Music_play_volumn
change it to 100 if it is not already otherwise i can't help it! maybe try mortplayer with adjustable volume
Hi,
I'm using the default headset that came with Raphael. It is extremely loud - I need to set the music to the lowest level so it doesn't tear my ears apart.
Is there any way to make the quieter?
Hi all,
Exactly the same problem here!
Even if I put the music volume at 1% it's really too lourd.
The TouchFlo 3D embed music player is unusable as is...
Any registry hack to fix this?
Thanks
Try using the Advanced Config Tool (posted a couple places on this board). Scroll down to Touch Flow 3d sound settings and bump the volume all the way down to like 20 (i'm testing 10 right now, will update with how that goes).
Actually, 10 works very well. I'd keep it there...
Great! It works fine thanks
Bumped the "Music player volume" down to 20, but I left my earphones at home - will let you know how that works.
Strange.. because mine even set at 100 isn't quite loud..
Hey,
I have had a HTC Touch sins 5th of December and i have found a problem I'm not sure if anyone is aware but its quite annoying. The sound through headphones and even to the extent of through the speakers is very quite and I'm not sure what i can do to improve that. Is there some kind of update or something. I could understand the phone speaker being quite and i don't partiuclly mind that but when trying to use it to listen to music or watch a film i find i can't even make out what there saying.
I don't have bad hearing so it can't be that.
Thanks for any help you can provide in advance
Did you make sure that your device volume is turned up all the way? Also make sure that your media player volume is turned up all the way.
It may also be that the media files you are playing have very low volume. Compare this by playing these files on your computer - do you have to turn your computer speakers up high just to hear? this would confirm low sound right in media file.
Do you have wow or srswow or whatever it is called installed. I have heard others having problems with this installed on their devices. this could be the problem. Uninstaling did not work in their case and they had to perform a hard reset (possibly because it had changed registry settings) I don't know if there is any other explanation or solution to your problem. The only time I have ever experienced low sound volume was when my volume settings were set low and I forgot to turn them back up.
to my knowledge there's no way of increasing hardware volume..
you can amplify the media using Goldwave or something.. and check that the volume meter is up all the way both in your media player and on your device.
Hi guys
I have one big problem with my orbit2. If I use my headset to listen to music, the music is far to loud for my to enjoy it.
So here ist my question is there a prog or a regestry hack so i can change the volume lower, especially in the htc audio manager?
I allready searched, but couldn't find a good solution to my problem.
Have a nice day
FallenOne
turn the phone volume down maybe
Well I allready tried that. Music gets quieter, but not quiet enough.
maybe muting the sound altogether may be the trick
(joking of course im not really experience with this type of phone, may i sugest changing thread title to "changing default volumne on orbit 2"
WMP
Hi
If you use Windows Media you can turn the system volume down to minimum and then WMP volume down to 5%!
That will definitely be quiet enough, if you can hear it at all!
Cheers

Ok I have had my 1020 for a few days now and so far I love everything I have tried with the exception of only one thing......
Stored music (MP3), plays at good level, however when I watch video from the net or use Tunein the sound seems to lack volume.
Now I went into settings and can adjust an EQ and add Dolby for music, however I was not able to find a setting for video sound, much like the one that is in my HTC Radar (WP7.8) , that I could add SRS to video.
Am I missing a setting somewhere??
If not is there a simple way to gain more volume even if I take a hit on battery life??
