Why you should dump/do anything with my ROM? I think you should go and create your ROM using official ROMs. Obviously, it's the best way.

This is just your opinion and regrettably it's not right. You can think "why" and probably you will find answer.
On this planet will not be any Magician ROMs based on my one, at least while I developing this project. Don't think that you will able f*ck me.
to nokser: don't think that any of this stuffs can be used in alphine. alphine seems have different harware.

Hello Magician guys....
After having now for a long time the good old XDA I device i recently upgraded to Magician device. Received it today and think it was a good choice. Now i have spent a long time here in the forum to get more infos concernig this device.
All i want to do in the moment is to customize my device. Aborting the extended rom installation and dumping the rom worked fine. ;-)
Glad to read this all here in the forum.
But now i want to change the extended rom.
After reading many postings here, i could not find any solution. Maybe i´m blind or it´s still impossible to do that.
Can anybody give me a hint to a thread how to do this, or dissapoint me and tell me it´s in the moment definitly not possible....

i think the or is correct
Actually it is possible to change the Extended ROM content, but you can only read the modified content. And if you want to change it, you have to hard reset in order to flash it again.
:roll: so how do you change it??
I wouldn't mind re-flashing if I could choose to install stuff to Extended ROM....

It works for me with ROM version 1.03.
Just a suggestion it would clear up any confustion, and stop someone from flashing the wrong rom on there tp. Just a thought, anybody else think its a good idea.

Not yet, but if you build they will come... sorry i had to say that. I know at ppcgeeks they are working on a hard spl, as soon as that is done than i sure ther will be custome roms, also it help facilitate further development.

Yes that woould help out greatly for noobs like me
I and many other users use napster and rhapsody for music .. but if we go to a cooked rom 9 out of 10 times drm gets ripped out and no one remebers how to put it back... Im asking all the builders out there how can we get a process going that can be followed to cook drm back into a cookedd rom ... if needed ill put down a bounty /// please advise ..
Yeah, DRM support is one of the reasons why I keep on reverting to the stock ROM. (Even though I always end up going back to a cooked ROM in the end.)
It'd be so nice to be able to use my Zune Pass music on a cooked ROM.

yes its tiny really but the issue is that it was ripped out and now the cooks we have dont know what to put back in .. would you know what modules and files to put back to make the devices DRM usable again ?

the requirements would be to get a guide to DRM that can be applyed to the LG-incite by its cooks and get drm working on 6.5 .. prefereably it could be applyed to ANY phone .

right now using darks 6.5 0008 for the lg-incite .. but HE and the other cooks done know what files are missing from the DRM thats the issue ... i have asked them they dont know .

ok, look for this dll in your /windows folder
wmdrm.dll
its there .. we have tryed cooking in the original 6.1 dll and 6.5 one also no go .. where from here?

Already this rom ... by isnal very good, but I had problems
with her. Fought a lot. And when restarted, it gave a HARD RESET = /
try mine ! it is quite naked (it has titanium and ie but no manila and very few mega packages)

without modifications. only with WM 6.5. The same way have the WM 6.1
without modification. Which can be obtained directly from htc site

on how to flash with SD card. until then only knew how

you do not need to flash from sd card !
make a copy of the folder you used to upload any other rom and rename it to cruiserrr or whatever, delete the nbh file from the other cooker and place mine there, you do not need to rename my nbh file if it is the only one in the folder (you can if you want). Simply launch Polaris_customRUU.exe or ROMUpdateUtility.exe and it will flash my ROM.
It is obvious I must clarify it in my thread ! thanks for making me notice it !!!
Edit: Here you have the files (taken from one of pcarvalhos roms), Instructions again.
Simply unzip the zip cruiser uploader.zip and add my nbh file in the same directory where you see ROMUpdateUtility.exe. Connect the ppc to the usb and once you see the connection has been established, flash it !
If you are below 50% of battery then you will need to launch bootloader in the ppc manually (hold on camera button + soft reset) and then launch the romupdate utility.
To flash from a sd card , simply rename the nbh file to POLA100.NBH, copy to the sdcard and enter the bootloader (hold on camera button + soft reset) and the ppc will recognize the file and ask for confirmation to flash it. (However I have to say I have not been able to do so since wm6.5.3 I guess that because of encryption or something my base rom is missing)
Good luck. If you don t like the icons you can try also tranhiman rom (is naked also).
Edit2. Even better, simply put my nbh and this file called Polaris_CustomRUU.exe (you must unzip it) in the same folder, plug the ppc to the usb and run the application. It will unzip all files needed and launch the ROMUPdateUtility extracted, and delete again the files when the flash ends.
Please, let me know if the flashing worked well, ok?

You need to flash official rom if have stability problem, read my post 3

I think not, because even I did not watched in some part, had already tested a few roms. the topic is actually an attempt to get a rom 6.5 without modifications made by users. just the standard system. [=

and let's propose imfloflo to make it sticky ! I can provide the flash tool that decompress needed files and deletes them once flashed.

Actually the HD2 thread is not dead at all. For example I release a kitchen where you can build a rom exactly how you like it and customise it your self.
If you have never built a rom before have a look at my thread for beginner chiefs and then you should move on to my advanced version. It is really easy simply click on the apps you dont want remove them, click start, it builds the rom for you then you flash!!
