HTC TYTNII Bootloader issue - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Hello Guys,
I have been facing this issue since a week & I'm looking to get to a solution by reading thru the sticky's posted. but, im being confused on what steps i need to do clearly. Could anyone help me in getting me out of this situation?
My Phone is a HTC TYTNII Unlocked version.
Thanks a ton!
Issue: Bootloader gets stuck in startup screen with Red/Gree/Blue/White colored horizontal bars. In one of them. It displays.
KAIS130 MFG
SPL-1.0.OliPof
CPLD-8
i tried using Mtty.exe & used Boot command as directed in the earlier posts, It fortunatley started up the booting process & phone is back to is Normal mode. but again i do the soft reset on it. It again goes back to the same issue as above. I really need a help if i'm doing something wrong in my process?
Pls guys Help!!!!!!
Regards
Sean

Please post on the Stuck on SPL thread .. (mod, please move it there )
Have you tried hard reset the phone? Hopefully the ROM will be loaded fresh again.

Please post issues in my thread.
You'll probably be best upgrading the SPL via the SD card using one of the "nostuckinSPL" SPL's from this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=498320.
If you are using WM6 you want 1.1, if you're using WM6.1, a 3.* version.

Wont Boot

I am a little confused. I have been trying to get WM6 on my T-mobile Wizard and actually got TNT 1.1 loaded and was working fine. I found that I could no longer view my contacts. The page would appear and then as quickly as it appeared it disappeared.
So I figured, I at least got it this far. I will just reload this rom and see if perhaps something did load right. Well after the reload. The phone boots up to the splash screen with IPL\SPL numbers and just sits. NOTHING.
I left it there for like 2 hours and still nothing. But I can still get into the BootLoader.
My questions to you gurus is:
Is the phone fubared?
Can I do some kind of master reset?
Why would it tell me "Invalid Vendor ID" when trying to flash the orginal T-mobile rom?
Are there any tools that can help me out? Paid\free?
Please help!!! Seriously! Please HELP!!!
Very much appreciated.
Thanks

if your device is G3, unlocking is required to flash any rom, before upgrade your device, it is recommended to flash an official WM5.0 rom (in your case T-Mobile rom) with IPL and SPL 2.xx then flash again.
in general there are many probabilities for your issue.
((Where is TNT1.1?? did you mean 1.0?? ))
My Bad meant 1.0
So to get it straight.... I will need to unlock my phone each time?
Oh and to correct myself again, when flashing with the T-mobile ROM it says UPGRADE ONLY. And the read me file says its the wrong RUU. But it is the same file from Tmobile I used when I first got the phone. But I will try again.
Are there any other suggestions?
You need to read the "how to flash" sticky.
I did. I am not any expert or anything but I believe the phone is unlocked already since I once had WM6 on my phone. The real issue I am having is that it wont boot past the splash screen after flashing.
And that is true when re following the steps in guide. After flashing to the button rom it will not boot past the splash screen.
Try another ROM.
Sounds like you need the "Wizard Love" rom. I dont have the link handy but I am sure someone else does.

Already got it. Thanks I am trying to load it now. But the only thing is that the last time it failed and I can understand what the error says. I know the number is 300 but can read the language.
But I will let you guys know when this load completes.
Thanks again for all the assistance.
No worky worky. The load completed and then boots the splash screen shows and then stays there.
Any ideas?
Try to remove the battery and let it out for at least half an hour. Then put it back in and see what it does then.
I thought the same thing too. So when it got done last night, out of frustration, I removed the battery and left it there to wait on when I get off work today. I will report back on what happens.
Again I would like to thank you guys for helping me. I really do appreciate it!
STEP 1 install the original manufacturer ROM
T-mobile UK
http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/download_manager_mda_vario.html
T-mobile US
http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
Search for the original rom for any other
instructions on how to use the original rom can be found here
http://support.t-mobile.com/knowbase/root/public/tm23294.htm?&A2L.SERVICE=AboutUpgrading
Put it in the bootloader mode.. ( three color screens )
hope this helps..
cheers
Praneet
Ok I did that and it gave me ERROR 296: UPGRADE ONLY
Then it tells me that the NBF file cannot be used for my PDA Phone. Please get newer NBF file.
Is there any way I can get the Tmobile splash and IPL\SPL number back to original, it doesnt need to boot all the way into WCE but atleast show the same numbers and splash during boot up?
Or any other way to get this thing to work?
Thanks guys
BTW it is a HTC Wizard from T-mobile.
If you are getting an error 300 you need a newer rom update utility, and regardless if your phone is a G3 or G4 it needs to be unlocked before you flash any rom.. LOAD a OFFICIAL cingular ROM onto your device before going any further, then unlock your phone either via www.imei-check.com or through some of the tools offered here...
Which one should I down load from Cingular? Even though I have a Tmobile phone?
what ipl and spl are you using and what radio are you using. Just post all the numbers from the bootloader
As soon as I get home, I will post them.
Thanks

uh oh. someone tell me if I'm wrong, but I think this is bad. it's the result of flashing a g4 with g3 or the other way around... keep searching, and good luck.

Have I bricked my Kaiser

Hi,
Was changing the ROM on my Kaiser, using JUMPspl as I had got the white screen using Hardspl. During the upgrade got an error at about 18%, went through the recovery procedure only to get back to the Bootloader screen with the screen saying
SPL-1.93.0000
I think it should say something different here!
At the moment can only get the the tri-colour bootloader screen with usb at the bottom.
Please any help would be much appreaciated.
Thanks
If you are at the tri-color bootloader screen, reflash a ROM.
that's where the process starts at anyhow, the bootscreen.
But doesn't the SPL have to be either Hardspl or jumpSPL.
I have tried to do the rom update again but sticks on 0% and gives error 262

Not advisable if he has the default SPL still though which by the number appearing at the tri col screen it appears to be the case.
Try doing a hard reset and see if it boots into the original ROM then at least you will find out if it is bricked or not, however, i'm not sure it will work based on the fact you got part way through in the first place.
Hold down the keys directly next to the Send and End (green and Red) Hold in the stylus and keep them all held untill you get a screen telling you to press the green (send) key.
Tried the hard reset, takes me back into the bootloader. Any other ideas?
Hmm... ok then.... you are pretty much looking at a very expensive paperweight at this moment in time then.
Look at this thread...it "may" (i'm not promising anything but it may point you in the right direction) help you out. Let us know how it goes.

Hate to joint the parade, but the exact same thing happened here - 18% now stuck at 1.93.0000
For anyone else reading this BEFORE flashing a new ROM please read, read and read again EVERYTHING related to flashing on this site, wikis and wherever else you can get info.
Another idea for you. Search around here for how to flash from an SD card that may solve the issue out for you. As previously noted though....READ READ READ and be 110% certain you understand what you are doing before you do anything.

details some info for a Wizard, should it be the same for a Kaiser?
Will Mtty get me any further?
MTTY will at least give you a USB connection to the device it is worth a shot given your current situation.
There is hope!
I did a clean reboot of my PC and disabled my antivirus (avast) and was able to sucessfully reflash the new 1.62 rom (released from ATT site today).
Thanks will try the new 1.62 rom.
What commands can you use with MTTY?
tried the At&t rom gives me an error on the vendor id. Will try a HTC rom
I have tried multiple roms and they all give me the same error Error 294:Invalid Vender ID
Any ideas
Am starting to get worried because if the misses finds out that I have bricked the new phone, I am up to my neck i it.

Invalid Vendor I.D. is cuz it's locked.
Had the exact issue myself and found a ATT ROM that will boot. It saved me bigtime, so I saved it. It's in one of the posts on one of the threads but I have the actual ROM, it'll overide that lock.- PM me if ya need it.
Got the same solution, Holy S**t about to have a heart attack. Tried nearly ever ROM out there, it was the Asia one that got me going.
Lesson learned: make sure you Hardspl after jumpspl.
Thanks for all the help folks
Glad ya got it fixed. One quick question?
Is your original ROM ATT or HTC ?
It is a HTC ROM. Done My Hardspl and got Sleuth v3.0 on it already

AT&T Tilt Stuck in Boot Loader

First off I'd like to apologize for what must seem like a duplication of a thousand other "stuck in boot loader" threads, but I've got what appears to be a fairly unique situation here and none of the fixes I've found searching the forum have worked for me.
Yesterday I flashed Dutty's WM6.1 ROM using JumpSPL, everything went fine. Today I went to install one of Niki's radios using JumpSPL again, but it got stuck at 99%. I went through the recovery process (several times) and each time after that got stuck at 0%. I've tried soft and hard resets, every time it comes back to the tricolor boot loader. MTTY doesn't give me the USB port option, even if I disable any and all tasks related to Mobile Device Center. Stock AT&T ROM won't load, says "This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone." I can't flash HardSPL, after I hit enter it doesn't do anything. I tried the Vista fix available on Modaco, but it's not compatible with 64-bit Vista so I'm SOL there too. I'm really at wits end here, could someone please point me in the right direction? I've read time and time again here that as long as you still get the tricolor screen your phone is not bricked, but I seem to be all out of options and nothing has helped.
The boot screen displays the following:
RUUNBH (Top right corner)
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
Please, any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
I don't believe JumpSPL is intended for radio flashing. Flash HardSPL and reflash with a shipped AT&T ROM.
I can't flash HardSPL for some reason, when I press enter in the prompt it brings up nothing happens.
Good job there slick! Did you purposefully ignore all the posts about safely flashing your device?
If you don't mind a little berating & a ton of sarcasm, I may be compelled to take an interest in helping you to fix the device (or to see how badly you've f'd it up & if it can be salvaged at least). Anyway, find me on MSN IM if you want & I'll walk you thru the steps for diagnostics & if possible, recovery.
You'll have to promise not to rush into doing any more stupid things though.

Ahhh, one more staisfied customer! Glad I could help out srdjank. Just remember that you can't treat a Kaiser like it's a Wizard. Similar yes, but there are different processes for safely flashing.
So far I've seen that Flashing Radios with JumpSPL is a sure recipe for bad memory blocks. Always, ALWAYS, HardSPL!
i also had the same problem when i tried to sim unlock my mda vario iii in progress screen the progress stuck at 95%. i would appreciate any help to recover the phone. thanks in advance

weird.... now stuck in bootloader

hey all, i turn my tilt off every night for a few hours and this morning on my way to work, all i got was the bootloader screen, thought something was wrong turned it off removed battery and after waiting 5 or 10 mins put the battery back in and everything worked fine. later on during the day i shut off my phone again and its back in bootloader again upon powering up this time i cannot exit. dont know what to do.
Take out your MicroSD card, then hard reset.
will not hard reset, tried about 20+ times
Bad flash.. For solving you need to search the forum, then reflash whit a good rom.
is it possiple that my version if hard spl is corrupted?
We wouldnt know, you never mention it. What does the bootloader say? What are the text on it?

Bricked HTC TyTn II - RGB-screen!!

Hi all,
After some time (and a lot of reading) I decided it was time to flash my TyTnII.
My preferred ROM was: NoThrills_WM61_NLD_V3.exe
To unlock my TyTnII, I used: JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe
The original version (as shipped) was:
R 1.27.12.32
G 22.45.88.07H
D 1.56.00.00
SPL-1.93.0000 (? not sure of this one)
image version: 1.56.405.5
When installing the ROM, it stopped at 19%, giving a communication error.
Next I followed the instructions given by the boot-loader, trying to restore. No luck there. After removing battery etc, I came back to the RGB screen.
On the screen it says:
RUUNBH/
KAIS130/
SPL-1.93.0000/
CPLD-8
There are (still) no cards (SIM/SD) in the device.
I tought I did everything as it was mentionned on the site, I thought I had read everything... Las, NOT!
Now there is no way to get the device up and running again. I always go back to the RGB-screen. It won't even restore the "manufacturer default", when doing so, it just goes back to the RGB-screen.
When reading different threads (my God, they are many!) I found some info on different spl's, radio's, and boot loaders. Could this have to do with this?
And of course, since I'm stuck at this screen, ActiveSync isn't so Active anymore. Trying another SPL won't work...
Does anyone know how to revive my beloved device?
Help will be appreciated!

... I forgot
... to mention that I had a WM5-device and I would like to have a WM6-device. That was the main reason for the flash-attempt.
Thanx in advance!

It happen to me too I did some search and found that you need to download mtty I thing 1.6 select usb and there was two command you have to exeute and it should work for some reason you can't flash the rom to it from sd on 193. I will try to get you the command later if you haven't found them in here . good luke. let me know how you make out.

Possible solution...
Hi!
The same thing happend to me two days ago.
The only solution is to install the original "Shiped ROM". Try with this one, because mine TyTN II rejected every other with error "Invalid Vendor":
http://www.asia.htc.com/download/RU..._radio_sign_22.51.88.13_1.27.15.32R2_Ship.exe
Good Luck!
Thank you for your quick reply!
Indeed, I forgot to mention that I already tried th MTTY. When I start the application and try to open the USB, it says 'USB will not open'.
I tried it also on another PC, just to be on the safe side, same result
No luck there.
I suspect the solution is to be found in the numbers!?
Kind regards,
Gert Beckers
Mmm,
Vladb,
Thank you for your quick response!
But, when I install the original shipped ROM, shouldn't it be the same version? Your link is clearly another version!
Could you send me a link with some more versions? Maybe European ones (english).
Sir Thanks-a-lot,
Gert Beckers

Actualy this is WWE English version for phones from Hong Kong. I bought mine in the U.S, but since it was ment for Asia, this is the link you need. Also, this is updated ROM... your original was: 1.56.XXXX, and this is 1.82.XXXX
I saw from your first post that you have the same version like I do.
Try it,
Best regards!
BTW, mine is up and running, and more stable!
vladb,
Thanks a lot, I just got somewhat closer... but the installer stops after 1%, giving the "invalid vender ID". I will try to post the screenshot.
Clearly the device is not unlocked...
Does any one have any idea?

See my other post above, but also, your original ROM is can be dowloaded here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs
Download and flash that. Once you back in Windows Mobile, see the stop sticky on this forum, in post #2 there are clear steps on flashing Hard SPL.

Dave,
Thank you very much, downloading the ROM, as we write ;-)
However, could you possibly mail me a link to this forum you are talking about, just to be on the safe side? when i looked for it, I found some 70 results...

OK... the next thing I would try is to download shiped ROM's from: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs

That is if you don't know your phone region.

I don't know which one will help you most, but if you ensure the thread in the "Kaiser ROM Development" forum, you'll just have to skim read them to see which ones have a solution at the bottom and see if the symptoms match yours.
From skim reading the posts myself, flashing the ROM I gave you should let you back into Windows Mobile. Once there you "MUST" flash Hard SPL, before trying anything else. (Instructions & FAQ are in the Hard SPL sticky post #2).
Thanks

Did I miss the part where you flashed HardSPL? Because it's not listed in your steps above. Flashing a ROM with JumpSPL is just begging for this to happen.
I've added my steps to fix this to the Wiki at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_Stuck_at_bootloader.
This has been linked to on the on the ROM Upgrading section of the HTC_Kaiser page and the ROM Flashing FAQ page.
Ok so I have some what of a similar problem...
I haven't flashed my phone in months. But for some reason, I turned my phone off this morning and when I went to turn it back on I am now stuck in boot-loader, and nothing works.. can't get it up and running.
This is odd..
just says:
KAIS130
SPL-3.29.Hard
CPLD-8
and in the white screen "serial"
Anyone know why this has happened?
