I am a Chinese, I would like to flash cracing's 6.5 ROM.DO you have Chinese language pack? I know that the Chinese fonts installed can support after the Chinese character. Chinese ROM in the dial-up panels can be used in contact Quick Search Pinyin initials, but the overall feeling of the Chinese ROM speed will be slower. How can i support the Contact Quick Search in cracing's rom?The above text is a translation from google, and I hope to see you understand my meaning. Thanks!
楼上的没有办法啊,e文用的来我也就用了,你看我上面内容都是google翻译过来,但愿外国朋友不要像我一样没装中文字体的英文ROM显示的中文都是口口口口口
There is a solution here. /这里有解决的方法。

樓主可以使用一下GOOGLE 翻譯,雖然不一定準確,但總比看到框框要好的多啊。哈哈
The original poster can use the GOOGLE translation, though not necessarily accurate, but it's better than see frame to good much ah. Ha ha

Seems to be q a lot of overlap - prolly not worth another install til I fix my email issue.
it is not 100% compatible...
some things like browser string and the phone skin are different compared to the diamond options for example. i will check out more differences. lovely would be a registry backup function. what is the program language? maybe i can fix something for you.
I am making a little poll here which languages are needed most!
I am not going to make three versions of my future ROMs! So with this poll, I want to determin the top 4 languages and make a version with those 4 languages next time (English will always be in the ROMs)!
Sooooo if nobody votes for German, there wont be a German ?
Exactly. I don't care, which languages are in the ROM, because I make my personal ROMs anyway! And in those ROMs I will always add German!
Hi I would also like to see Czech language. Olda
Maybe add all languages to one rom?
Don't think there's enough space in the VOX's 64MB's rom.
I've no problem with english, on the contrary in this months with only english I got used to it...it is more effective and words are shorter
BTW...this poll seems to a me a race...so let's race!!
Why there isn't Russian in that list?
Portuguese.
I can't find many ROMs in that language and i think is not proportional to the speaking people (240 milion). Even we could use generaly in English i think we deserve more.
Thank you.
I neither have Russian nor Portuguese language files. That's why they aren't in the list! And no, not all languages fit in one ROM!

Hei frau...I think that the Gonzo's cab method isn't adaptable in this case, or is it?
Master - please make the newest WM 6.1 CLEAN [MULTI-LANG] with Polish lang of course
If its possible ... give us polish lang
Why there isn't Spanish in that list?
And again, I only have those languages, I need the 6.1 mui-files for more languages, but I don't know where to get them from!
How long this polll will be last?
I think one more week!
Simplified Chinese

May be you can keep this thread open 'forever' so that every time you plan to cook a new ROM, you can check out which are the 4 hottest language then
I Vote Danish but it's not there so English in my 2. option and thats not there eighter
Well, English is always in the ROM!
And for the last time: these are the only languages that I have!
SuperJustKitchen is a big beast to keep updated that's why I want to start pruning it. As it stands, I can't upgrade most packages because I can't find the packages in EVERY language. Therefore, I will be pruning out the languages that no one ever uses. This poll will up for the next two weeks. Please votes only ONCE and vote on all the languages which you think we should keep. (The ones you use.)
I'm thinking of forking off each language so I can concentrate on the English part (it's REALLY hard to manage all 13 different languages.)
Is anyone interested in taking over some of the languages? If so, tell me which ones.
I'm planning to expand the English one to all other devices.
( Maybe not the most used language, but I'd be happy if there'd available Hungarian language If that matters i can help translating, but i dont really know how it works.. )

If a hungarian stock ROM was ever made, then it'd be possible, but I don't think they make any hungarian windows mobile translations. Unfortunately, microsoft has only released windows mobile in 20 different languages. Translating it wouldn't be too complicated, but it would take a VERY long time. VERY VERY VERY long time.

My friend has just bought a Diamond 2 with Hungarian WM6.1.. Can that help if i try to rip the rom off from that? If its still so much work than english is good for me..
I can tell you how to do it, but I won't have time for a full language convertion for a while. But if you can at least dump the OS for me, I can start looking through it and telling you what you need.
I've never seen a hungarian windows mobile phone. ^_^
Hi, I recently got a HD2 and I've realized that it can't display Asian (specifically Chinese) characters. Everything comes up as blocks....I'm just wondering if there's a way to get around this? Is there any way to make it so the HD2 is capable of showing the Chinese characters? Thanks in advance
As far as I know, you need to flash a ROM that handles double-byte characters. My Hong Kong HD2 has an English interface, but also can read/type chinese characters.
I found the official English Asian version of the ROM at HTCPedia here, which is probably what you need.
search for a SUNGLOBE PATCH. then it will display it. even does japenese characters.
good luck!
Look for sunglobe.cab for a quick installation. This is only for viewing chinese characters; japanese characters will not be shown, and you cannot enter chinese characters without the proper input method.
And while unrelated to this matter, here is a manual fix for viewing japanese characters on WM 6.5 I had to make a few days ago:
1. Grab the files meiryo.ttc and meiryob.ttc from your PC's font folder (C:\Windows\Fonts), provided it has them (Vista or newer, I'm not sure about XP)
2. Copy them to your HTC HD2 (or if it doesn't work, copy them somewhere else on your PC then on your HD2)
3. Move them on your HD2 to the \Windows\Fonts folder
4. Use the following registry file (copy-paste in notepad, save as .reg on your device, execute):
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\FontLink]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\FontLink\SkipTable]
"Tahoma"="00a5,007e,0391-03c9,2026,2116,221a,25a0-25ff"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink]
"Arial"="\\Windows\\fonts\\meiryo.ttc,Meiryo"
"Times New Roman"="\\Windows\\fonts\\meiryo.ttc,Meiryo"
"Courier New"="\\Windows\\fonts\\meiryo.ttc,Meiryo"
"Segoe Condensed"="\\Windows\\fonts\\meiryo.ttc,Meiryo"
"HelveticaNeue LT 35 Thin"="\\Windows\\fonts\\meiryo.ttc,Meiryo;\\windows\\tahoma.ttf,Tahoma"
"Helvetica Neue OTS"="\\Windows\\fonts\\meiryo.ttc,Meiryo;\\windows\\tahoma.ttf,Tahoma"
"Tahoma"="\\Windows\\fonts\\meiryo.ttc,Meiryo"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\FontPath]
"FontPath"="\\Windows\\Fonts"
5. Soft-reset your HTC HD2
Then japanese characters should show up everywhere and be linked correctly.
inputting chinese is not what he asked. that is related to ezinput and another ballgame. rhats funny that the sunglobe patch i have CAN do both chinese and japanese. so dont have to confuse the person who requested for it.
does anyone have the link to the sunglobe cab? i tried to find it but couldn't....

Maybe you didn't try hard enough.... a simple search of "sunglobe cab" in Google turned up quite a few results.
This link shows how to display Korean on the phone (I can confirm it works).
http://leeblood.com/2008/02/16/windows-mobile-6-changing-the-system-font-adding-korean-support/
I am pretty sure you can substitute the Korean font for Chinese.
thanks i found the sunglobe cab, just waiting to test it out now

I read in the CooTek TouchPal forum about users complaint that the current version 4 has got a problem with Chinese input if the phone is running WM 6.5.
My suggestion is to read my post with regards to Traditional/Simplified Chinese input, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=647307

hi gregwee, so do you have the english version or the chinese version? i was looking at getting one shipped over from hk (im in australia) because i wanted english interface with chinese display/input like yours, so i asked them about that and they told me there is an english only version and a chinese only version and that i had to pick one or the other, but can't get both languages on the same phone...

Thats not true... I have both on my phone and its fine... but I use the ricky Chinese cab thats floating around somewhere... the 21mb version gives me full Chinese reading, sogou gives me a great ime (and i also have plumsip and touchpal but got rid of the A4 as it didnt work so well for me) and with the ricky cab I also get China PRC in my regional settings... before I would only get this with CE Star which I havent put on my phone as the others all do a better more finger friendly job...

Is not impossible but it requires a lot of work....search for kitchen and wwe ROMs.
Thank you
But please put Link to this page so I can reach it easily
For the Vox, frauhottelmann has created wonderful multi-language ROMs and he has released a VOX kitchen, too. So you should just play with this kitchen and learn. The basics are:
1.) Applications (also of the OS) usually have dedicated language resource files (*.mui.<nn>) where <nn> indicates the language code.
2.) Settings / control panel translation is very difficult and adaptation usually depends on the availability of a matching lang.vol file
3.) T9 language dependent libraries are independent of above and are the easiest part to add for other languages. There are even installable versions for that.
1+2 are also linked to some simple registry changes.
You can lookup any thread for Windows Mobile dealing with translating ROMs - there are no differences between devices.
