Keyboard evolution

Guys it's just me or it is a fact that the progress of windows mobile is really slow?
I mean there are several versions of windows mobile, 6.0 got our before 5.0 was even running well enough (not to mention several bugs in 5.0 that were barely fixed) and I wonder: wouldn't it be better to stick to an OS version for a longer period of time and make it run really good?
I won't go into a debate mac vs pc or anything of this kind, but isn't the standard windows mobile interface a bit boring? I like the iPhone for the innovative interface and design only, or another model I've seen m8 from meizu.
Something should change, not just a fancy gradient in the titlebar and the menubar!!!!!

And that is really a lot of time of using the same cra.ppy system, and forgive me for overreacting but I think entering texts is a main concern, we all use these devices mainly as communicators or for various information storage that needs to be edited, moved from a location to another an all these actions require user input...
I know there are lots of experienced users on this forum, so this is a call to all of them , I need their suggestions in what would be the best choice for a text-input software for Pocket PCs?
I was using the SPB keyboard for about 2 years now I really like it, it's just that it covers all my text (yeah, I know it's fulscreen ), and I would like to try some similar variants: concern #1 : it must have big keys or it's useless to me.

I'm using ZTA4 SIP, it's mainly for Chinese input but also can be used for English typing.

Try the skinnable Resco keyboard, several options available. See screenshot and download link below.

I attached here, try it yourself
Instead of choosing the unknown chinese character, you can choose Abc so you will be able to type in English.

Unfortunatelly Resco has too small keys, almost like the default SIP, I can't use it

I have attached a screenshot, it loads, but it is unusable. Still it seems to have pretty small keys, but I'm not sure as it doesn't load properly, what could I do?

Hi,
Attached is the screenshot taken from my device. Altough it's a bit small but if you use stylus it's far far better than the normal keyboard, and some more it's also support keypad typing

Much Improved Opera Mini

Hello again Kaiser Funsters, I've done a quick sweep of XDA-Dev and strangely I cant find a thread about this yet, however I have found a group that is offereing the much improved opera Mini experience via a russian mod.
except they've ported it into English!!
they haven't ported the new 206 version yet but you'll be impressed with the improvements they've mede with the standard Mini Opera Jar.

Yeah, I'm going to need some release notes or something. I'm not brave enough to just start running java programs from a random Russian website on my phone

I took the plunge and tried it . Not the smartest security risk - BUT I don't have any real data on the phone and I can always re-flash. Its a pretty interesting update. Once you install files from the links above, the newly installed Opera mini has built in links to the developers site that has FAQ's, instructions, basically full documentation - BUT its mostly in russian. I don't speak russian sooo... I can't help with the details. Basically, file downloading is MUCH improved (more like firefox for the PC), linking is better.. lots of cool stuff.

For me, the package by Shlomki remains the biggest breakthrough in making Opera Mini easier to use...having Opera Mini as a shortcut in the \Programs folder just has to take the cake!

Default CABs Ready!!!
I made 3 cabs for easy installation of this hack.
What it does:
1. Installs MortScript (Default to Internal Memory, because of links and shortcuts)
2. Installs script to Windows dir and imports Reg values (to be independant of MortScript folder)
3. Creates a shortcut for OperaMini in the programs folder!
These CABs are for ARM processors and for Pocket PC only - not smartphones.
All you need to do is install.

Great Games...

...are there any for this device? I've downloaded a number that operate but are no good due to the Touch 2 being touchscreen only. There must be some - its windows 6.5!
Any help would be greatly appreciated as games are the missing link to a life of happiness with my phone

Multi-touch problem on FpseCE

I saw a few other threads on here regarding issues with fpsece on our phones but I had a more specific problem regarding the app/program, which would be multi-touch. Does anyone here run fpsece on their HD2 and successfully play their roms with multi-touch functioning? I have the latest free version installed with the supporter cab (3/25/10). No matter what skin I use, no matter what editing I do to my ini that the fpsece forum suggests seems to work. I'm posting on here in hope that someone can help me resolve this problem. This site is way more active then the the fpsece forum.

Hi guys
I too have the supporters version and also have multitouch issues, I think that there is a line you need to add into the ini file to activate this... I have actually now given up with this app as it has become a pain in the a%$*. If somebody has a fix for this, I would also be greatful as this is a great app.

use the HD2 optimization pack existing in their forums as a cab..1 instal, then go to device>program files and delete your configs for your games..then try to run the game you want and rush back here to thank me it seriously saved me..i only rarely used fpsece b4 this but now i have over 14 games on my hd2 those long hours on the train really fly by now
