I bought this battery on ebay, love the battery but the back cover looks like sh*t. Now I wonder if someone have any tips on where to get a betterlooking backcover that fit with this battery? Thanks!

I bought that from here:
Replacement for O2 XDA Diamond Battery 3.7V 1800mAh
it's only 1800mAh, but it's good enough and it has a nice back cover.
Yes it is nice but give the camera a littel bit of grey area, do you konw if there is a really nice cover out there like the one comes with the battery from mobile fun
increased but these batteries are really more powerful or no use?

The battery came together with the new back cover. It looks almost the same as the original one, but the thickness is two times the original, so you will end up with almost the same size as touch pro...
The only bad thing is when you use the camera, just like mention in
the third post above

Hey guys i found today these batteries and watched the review of them by droiddog
http://www.droiddog.com/android-blog/2010/05/nexus-one-extended-battery-reviewgiveaway/
and i am very interested in buying one of these. i am currently getting 1-2 days of medium use and i day of full use with my desire and i am excited with more life. Actually the 1600mha seems nice addition without any bulk added (if it adds 5-10 hours) but the 3200mha is VERY usefull for trips or journeys without charger.
Did any of you tried these batteries ???? i heard that seido are not good but since droiddog recommended them i am into this A LOT.
Here are links to their pages:
Mugen Power 3200mah
Mugen Power 1600mah
i doubt anyone has tried the 3200mah in the desire as the battery cover will not fit
I had a Mugen extended battery for my Hero. IIRC it was 200mAh higher capacity than the original battery, so I expected around 10% to 15% better life from it. In practice though, it actually seemed marginally worse than the original HTC battery and certainly no better.
I've since found this site, and it very much mirrors my experience with Mugen batteries.
Regards,
Dave
Hmm, is there no other batteries to use to extend?

if you saw the video they provide a cover that fits with the battery. and i thought that since the reviewer actually tells it DOES make difference i found it an opportunity.,
my bad, i looked at the droiddog link and and not the mugen ones...
i saw "nexus one" and assumed you had linked to the same battery, sorry
Does seem like a good idea to me, review was nice, and i agree with the guy, having that back on would make it feel better in your hand.
But theyl never do a case like the back for the desire will they?
As the n1 bottom bit on the back isnt removable so it makes it easier, where is desire they would have to do a whole new back plate.

Those batteries are scam.

These batteries are not scam. I don't know where you get this guys?
I use the one for Desire, they've been reviewed in many places already and this guy from batteryboss is ridiculous in his testing cuz he got those batteries from ebay and thinks it's really Mugen Power. Mugen comes from Hongkong and has only one good reseller. Many batteries like other accessories are scam, so you just need to know where to order them.
I don't know about the 1600 one, but I've owned the Mugen 3200 for over a month now, and it has literally doubled my battery life.
You quickly get used to the extra bulge and weight, and it becomes a non-issue.
I ordered this one:
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/catalog/product/view/id/605/
using mugen 3200 since 2 months, almost doubled battery life...
usually unplug phone around 8, i arrive at midnight with around 60% using facebook, bluetooth, music, market, gps, some calls and sms, google reader and browser... data connection always on, wi-fi sometimes...
the only regret is not having a rubber protection case, just the plastic one they give you with battery and backcover...
Just buy a rubber case and cut it to fit the bigger back.
Btw the mugen is good but the back cover is abit fragile. Open and close it too much and the tabs WILL break. Mines currently stuck on with a bit of blutak

prob not, i know for my old Droid 2 there were hardly any cases that supported the moto extended battery (i think 1 did)
Since i still can't tell if samsung actually has an official extended battery they say that supports the charge, i can't see many manufactures making one.

I actually prefer the heft. Thought the stock slim battery is too light and weak. The extended battery is giving me 18-22 hours of moderate usage.

Hyperion now has a silicon skin that fits with their 3500mAh extended battery. The description says it should also fit with most other 3500mAh or 3600 mAh extended batteries.

Thanks. I just installed my new Hyperion extended battery yesterday and it is too slippery I dropped it once already. Out of necessity, I cut out a hole on the standard size case. It's doable, but ugly from the back, which I don't care since I only see the front side anyway. Lol.
I'm more interested in how the front facing buttons would operate and feel with the rubbery cover.
TIA
Anyone who has used an extended battery for our Verizon GS3, what brands are good or what have you had good experiences with? I never messed with an extended battery before. And yes, I do know if they are big it will come with a new back cover for compatibility of the thickness.
I personally haven't used any extended batteries yet, but within the last couple hours a lot of the android news blogs have been posting about genuine samsung brand batteries at 3000mah. Looks like you get an extended case with it that doesn't seem 'that' big.
Still it's 60 bucks though, more than I paid for the phone, haha.
Edit: ugh.. since I'm a new member apparently I can't post links yet, just google: samsung galaxy s3 extended battery
You should see it in the news.
I picked up the Hyperion 4400 of eBay for like 25 and it's amazing. I get around 9 hours screen time the larger back feels much better in my hands. And there customer service is amazing. The back was as little loose so I emailed them and they sent me a brand new back... And battery!
By the way there is a couple really good comparison threads in the accessories section you may want to check out.
If I helped you in some way.... pass on the favor and help the next person!

I picked up the Qcell batteries and a charger for $36 a few months ago on Amazon, now it's just $25 for two batteries and charger..
I've been very pleased with them!
Wife's using the QCell 4200 mAh battery. She loves it. She uses it all day, and has yet to see it go below 60%. And she spends the entire work day in a lower signal area.
Hyperion works great. I got the 4200 with NFC. My cover cracked too and I emailed them and the same day they sent me a new one with no questions asked.

We've had the phones for going on three months now. So about 2.5 months. It's a great battery. Battery cover isn't so hot though. It's the same thickness around the entire cover. So the camera and flash are in these deep holes. Pictures without flash come out ok, but pictures with flash have sort of a pinhole effect where the picture is much brighter around the center, and too dark at the edges. I'm getting her a Seidio back that I've been told will fit. The Seidio back tapers toward the top, so that the camera and flash are not covered at all. I had the same type of back with my old Evo, and it worked perfectly.

I purchased the Anker 4400mAh Extended battery off of Amazon for $20 (it doesn't support NFC though). I have had the phone on for over two days at one point with medium to heavy usage, and it still hasn't reached below 40%. The only downside I didn't consider when purchasing an extended battery was that the cases I had previously bought to cover the phone would not fit of course, so I purchased two additional extended battery cases (which aren't all that great compared to the standard cases). Check out the reviews on that battery, most of them are excellent.
Right now I rock the Seidio Kickstand case and I know they make another case for extended batteries. I've been happy with this cases so I'm a try it out.
Once I get the Seidio back to use on the Qcell battery and verify that it does indeed fit, I am going to pick up the Seidio kickstand case for it. I have the kickstand case that fits the stock battery right now, and it is a great case!

Right on. Seidio does good work. I like the fact that the kick stand cases are soft on the side but hard on the outside. I read the extended battery version is made for the 3,500 mAh battery but my colleague bought the extended back (not the battery, just the back cover + extended case) and he said it fits his other extended batteries that exceeded 4,000 mAh.
ok so i've had my phone for over a year, love it. not need to change phone at this time but the battery is in need of replacement. Thing is i have an otterbox defender case. i need the case and am not willing to give it up. i need some help with the biggest capacity battery that will fit under the stock case or replacement cover that will fit in the otterbox case? i have seen the nexus 2100mah batt getting some props, is that the biggest, best under stock cover at this time?

I use this one for my t989 (same battery as i727).
http://amzn.com/B005LBEIEW
It does include a 1850mah stock battery.
With just two stock batteries I never plug the actual phone in.
I'm also waiting for the GNEX 2100mah in the mail from sprint.
Did the same mod i had with my note 2. Cut the stock back and back of the hard case in the defender and there is a little bulge but the battery should last quite a bit longer
interesting. how much battery life are you getting with this?
Just installed today but I will post updates my anker on the note 2 gave me incredible battery life

The otterbox defender has a hard plastic inner (green in this case [pun intended]) and a soft, silicone outer case, the purple. You snap on the inner case, then the soft outer case stretches over after.
This post was created and transmitted completely in analog.

First charge on battery I am at 15 hrs on battery and 2 and a half hours screen on time and am at 77% battery. Not too bad I guess. Coming from the note 2 with moderate usage I only had to charge every 3 days or so, sometimes more often but I can't expect this to live up to a 6500mah battery lol screen brightness is at about 70% and on lte the whole time.

Yeah, it doesn't change anything on the outer part of the hard case where the holster clips fit. There is just a slight bulge where the battery sticks out of the hole that is cut. I don't use the holster but I clipped it back in just to check. Once the zerolemon 7500mah battery comes out in am going to see if that is a possibility with this setup. I know I'll have to cut more but if it doesn't look too ridiculous and will fit under the silicone case, that bad boy is going in there lol
Hahaha yea that may be a bit more than I really need, lol! So did you buy a replacement back to cut or did you cut your original one. Second thing I wonder and I may just try but see if the edges of the battery can be rounded a bit to not make it look so pointy... But I'm so mad I didn't think about doing this... I really wanted to larger battery and I started to buy the Anker 5200mAh extended battery off amazon but then was worried about not having a case for it (I work outside digging, climbing poles, etc) so I need some protection. So I ended up getting the 2 Anker 2600mAh spare batteries with the wall charger for the batteries. Which works great but I can still kill a battery with my heavy usage so that means I gotta carry the second battery with me.
Really like this and I'm going to order my battery and case tomorrow I think.
Any idea why Anker doesn't have the 5200mAh batt available anymore tho??? Wanted to keep the same brand I already have. And I've had good luck with these batteries so far.
Thanks man

You cut the stock back and the otterbox back to allow the battery clearance. If you didn't put the stock back on there then it would be lose and allow dirt and dust in the phone.
I did the same mod by the way lol
