[ROM] NEW for Dream Official HTC Hero Full (Stable) from nk02 and Fatal1ty (7.04.09)

this is a fully working Hero rom for vodafone's Magic (I think that someone has posted a version for the HTC branded).
The porting has been made by me, with a cooperation of nk02...
Here is a trick for those who want performance, and want to come back to other rom, before doing this just try this:
settings-->applications-->manage-->touchflo-->clear defaults
than the first time you press home it ask you wich home you want to chose, check use always this option, and press Home (not touchflow), and there you have, a speedy rom with the good things of Sense (except for the widgets, but you won't get them in other roms anyway )

-Used jerpelea Rosie.apk (thanks for it, it's smaller, and let you save more than 3MB)
-New version of swap application, now it let you set the swappiness,it's the 3rd parameter in swapinfo.txt ( by default it's setted to 20), first time it ask root permission tap always allow, if it says that the application it's not responding just hit wait, and everything will go ok!
I found this rom much more usable with touchFlow
(the best configuration on swap that I found is: 32MB, and 10 of swappiness, try it editing the /sdcard/swapinfo.txt

Here is an automatic apps that do the work for you,
it set up a new swap file with standard dimension of 65MB in /sdcard/swapfile.swp,
and for those who wants to personalize it,
just change the file /sdcard/swapinfo.txt
is obvious but I clear that too: first line path, second line dimension
Don't need to do anything to make it work just install it, and reboot the phone, it'll do the work for you!

i know right. I d/l'ed and looked through it. It looks pretty nice. Not a dev though but its not a themed 1.5 looks like the full rosie. I'll try flashing it tomorrow when I get to work.

Ok it booted up and I registerd my Google account and all that, and the dang thing just rebooted after i completed the wizard.
EDIT: Ok it rebooted really quick and the home screen is taking a while to load.

Well drake, you seem to have the rom in your hands. Is it really a big improvement?

Will this include the donut kernel with the multitouch(switching between this and donut thread very quickly before out of 3G zone...don't have much time to really read)?

i know you posted something yesterday about a touchflo3d type of release. wonder what it could be. when i think touchflo, i think about the touch pro i have.....

would compcache work on this build?

I'm guessing it will since we need ANY hero ROM to be optimized as much as we can.

TouchFLO = Rosie. The Hero thingy that we all have is called TouchFLO, I'm pretty sure that's what he's talking about.
Also... I NEED TO FLASH SOMETHING!!! Its been over 48hrs!!! *Begins wiping phone and reflashes JACHero2.7.4 for the hell of flashing*

First release, so theres no such thing as a changelog yet.
Dalvik-cache is stored on the /data partition, which is wiped when you do "Wipe data/factory reset."

and sry i thought it was 2nd release because of the beta2 i thought he must have had a beta1 somewhere

Nice to see a new developer around here, I may eventually get into the ROM making business myself now that I'll have a spare phone. I'll be glad to try out this ROM in a few, I'll let you know what I think of it then.
P.S. How hard is to to bake a ROM anyway? I'm just curious ..

But its missing the apps running, when I go to "applications/manage applications" I can only see the ones I just downloaded from the market, also on the market I don't see a paid app called "my backup pro"
On terminal emulator the "free" command cannot be found...
On internal mem only had 62mb before installing any app...
Good work so far no fc....

You can have any SPL for magics but you have right SPL so yes you can use it.

I realize u don't hav a change log because it is ur first rom... but what iis in ur first rom? what are the apps included? What other enhancement do u have in ur eclair rom?.. n is it posible to have wysie's phone/contact in ur next rom..

All of the enhancements are listed in the OP, just some kernel tweaks and compcache basically. At the moment, I have no plans on adding any apps to the ROM other than the stock android & google apps. I want to keep this ROM as smooth and clean as possible.

Nice work. Everything seemed to work good for with one exception. I also was unable to see some paid apps.

Youtube will not work, there are no HW accel drivers, this has been said many times. But the OTA for eclair has started.

Though just a recommendation: Change the packaged kernel to the non-fso version; I say that so its compatible with most phones. Fso breaks the system for some people; give people that want it the option to flash it.

No problem. Its just how it handles the system and doesn't always play nice. Just like a person that flashes an a2sd enabled rom and someone who isn't partitioned can't boot the rom; little things like that. Hope the rom is received well.

Its all good, and never a problem.
ONE more thing, I double checked and saw the rom is undervolted -75mv; -75mv is 'technically' aggressive, and too much. Personally I use -100mv, but not all can. The safest bet would be to use -25/-50 as most phones can handle that. You may want to bold that in the OP to avoid little things.

It should only matter if you're partitioned and use a2sd; I believe just how it handles the files/apps. I'd make a backup prior to flashing if you did.

it has to be on ext4 at least i think. i say this because it has 2 tweaks in a init.d file (remove jouralism and perfect mount) it said that its EXT4 tweaks. So maybe they wont hurt it if your phone isnt on EXT4 but maybe it will...you can try and let me know but do that at your own risk

[ROM] HNS-Inverted v2.8I

There is a flash able zip if anyone still requires it, though these inverted apps are included in hypernonsense.
I am a great fan of Splder`s HNS rom for the Sensation, but there was a couple of bits that I have hopefully improved. I`m still very much a learner, but I thought I`d share this...

Instead of inverting some apps and releasing as a rom, Why not just make a "Theme pack" and release it in themes and apps? That way you have a smaller package and dont have to worry about calling it a release

So you haven't asked for permission?

Well no. I wasn't aware I should. If I was infringing someones copyright then I wpould. This was just to assist anyone. I'm no ROM developer. If it comes to asking for permission then what would be the point? Android is an open platform.
I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder. The updates I provided I wasn't sure how to get them out there so I thought a custom ROM might be a good idea. Until I learnt how to make a flash able zip, which I have done. It is in splders thread... Therefore this won't be updated again...
