USB Pin Connectors/ 3.5 mm Headphone Adapter

I wish to use a standard earphone (other than that bundled by HTC) with 3.5 mm stereo pin. But the problem is that HTC accessories are not readily available in India. Now what I thought is, can we not make a homemade adapter by cutting a mini USB cable and connecting / soldering it with a standard 3.5mm stereo adapter. In that case the microphone of course will not work. I have read at HTC site that the mini USB of HTC vox (may be all other phones of HTC) is a propreitory 11 pin connector. So can a standard mini USB cable be satisfactorily used ?
Anybody has any idea ?
This is what I use with my VOX

it works perfect, and I got it delivered to my home in India.
but I dont use it anymore cause I have got the new Jabra BT3030 bluetooth stereo headset which is so perfect.
Thanks Prajith. I am thinking of buying one.
Also ebay
Do a search on ebay for "USB audio adapter for HTC Vox". They are very cheap.

BUY IT from XDA DEVELOPERS STORE
Its available in the store.xda-developers.com

@naidu001
you can get two of the connectors I mentioned in that price.
and hey it can be used for charging too, which the connector you mentioned cannot.
Rightly said Prajith your conector has boyh USB mini and 3.5 jack. Actually I purchased a few things from another site where postage was further cheap at $3 per item. But it seems that cost of the items are cheaper at the link shown by Prajith.
Anyway I am searching for an adapter with miniUSB, 3.5 earphone jack and microphone too for answering calls. I know this will be avaialable but the shipping costs are main.
@parthabhatta
talk to some of the other windows mobile users near place and buy this together. That way shipping cost becomes very less and they may offer a discount also. I had bought 30 of those, now I have only one and that too I dont need.
I would seriously suggest that you try a bluetooth stereo headset, you would never again use a wired headset. Ever!
Let me know if any of you folks have bought this miniusb to 3.5 mm audio jack converter for Vox from xda store. How easy is to order one from there?
I live in Bangalore. Is there any one knows which is the right place here to find it?

I ordered it from brando shopping. I don't remember the price paid but they have a standard 3 $ per item charge for shipping anywhere. The item will reach you within a fortnight maximum.
The url is probably shop.brando.com.hk or google with brando shop and you will find the exact address. No extra customs duty etc has to be paid.
Thanks PrabhatBhatta,
i went to Bangalore's National Market and tried a few adaptors, none could really work actually. Then i tried a final one which is the same as seidio one, which worked atlast for me. I bargained it for Rs160.

Mini USB to 3.5 need one by tomorrow

I'm going on a trip and would really like to get a Mini USB to 3.5, bought one but didn't realize that they were model specific. The one I got was for a Verizon V3...d'oh (next time I'll search before buying). Anyways does any body know where I could buy one in store instead of online, or if I could take my V3 mini to 3.5 and just rig something up myself to my Mogul headphones?
Actually scratch that, just ordered an adapter and got it next day. I am going to play around with the V3 one I got and see if anything is to differant between the mogul phones and v3 adapter.

Thanks
or could someone let me know which shops sell the genuine ones for a decent price?
thanks
Only go for an ebay listing which clearly states CC-C200 as the model number.
Mobile phones direct (google it). I had it as a gift with my desire.
Apparently fake chargers won't charge the phone if e.g using it as say nav. Mine is fine and can't moan about it. I think price is about 14 quid

or the C300 if you want dual USB slots so you can charge 2 phones at once.
PS. the C200 (with a miniUSB cable) also comes as standard on the HTC Cruise 2009 version.
Desire Charger
Hi, after buying a charger from ebay that was as much use as none at all, i just bought a micro usb charger from tesco @£3.99 no waiting for delivery and it is fantastic, i really need sat nav (in the emergency services) and use my desire to get where i need to be. The tesco one is great. hope this helps

hdmi out cable?

Is there an HDMI output cable for the sensation to watch HTC watch on the big screen?
You need an MHL adapter which will convert your Micro USB out to HDMI. Then you can use whatever HDMI cable you want.

U can get the mhl from the tmob website under accessories for ur fone
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
wow, this has to be the 5th time ive seen this question in the accessories thread :/
also, MHL adaptors are hard to find retail, best bet is to buy online...theyre cheaper and easier to get
I bought one from Expansys, here in the UK.
Got the 'unbranded' one - cheap, and works perfectly.
Just, whatever you buy, make sure it's 'MHL' - there are plenty of things out there which have the right plugs on each end - they won't work, unless they're MHL!!

I bought the same one from Expansys UK and it works perfect. Hell of a lot cheaper too than official one's!
