Vodafone Branded HTC Touch Pro - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi all,
New here, but had my HTC touch pro for a while now. Just got a couple of questions you guys might be able to help me out with.
When I got my HTC Touch pro I installed the Diamond TF3D Config tool and installed the HTC Blueish Black TP Full CasMO theme, as I wanted to get rid of the Vodafone branding to get it looking more like the orginal HTC touch pro theme.
What I want to know now is, is there any theme that is better than the HTC Blueish Black TP Full CasMO theme that looks more like the original? or of a way to get my voda touch pro more like it would do in its original format?
Before I get flamed, I have looked at the search function, but theres so much information Its hard to follow it all.
Thanks to anyone that helps.

I have a copy of it somewhere. It is one here, but it was incredibly hard to find as you've said as there is sooooo much on manila. I'll see if I can dig it out for you.

That would be great if you could Allen, big thanks.
Also anyone got any power saving tips? My original battery doest last more than 2 days so I bought another official HTC one and that has went the same way

2 days of battery life is pretty good depending on your usage like 3g turned on,bluetooth, watching videos, playing music etc.
i charge mine every day,but i use it intensivly

I have found it, but was unable to upload it for some reason. The file was called tlr-manila.cab

i highly reccomend flashing a new 6.5 ROM. for instance NRG's 60109 3.0 series works like a charm with a whole new interface and much more options than original TF3D with the look of a normal touch pro :] sorry to deviate from the purpose of the thread but this is the easiest way to do so (without the grueling search) if you need help feel free to pm me :]

That exact theme is in the double_ofour 1933 V1 ROM kitchen. Here is a direct link to the kitchen. It's a big download, maybe someone knows where to find that exact theme by itself. I can extract the theme from the kitchen, but it's on my work machine so it would have to wait till Monday unless someone else has it.
u can download themes ... that's it .

Fantastic answer! Now you're the man!
Thank you GnatGoSplat and other users. I will try this rom from the link. If anybody will have this theme itself i would be very gratefull for a link.
Greetings
All the Colours you want straight from your Wizard
on your wizard go to go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=43709 then click on free ringtones, applications, and more and you will be able to download difrent themes. you get one with out registering but if you register you will be able to get all of them. registering is free.
Enjoy.
the theme you want is windows mobile green, which is in this file
http://rapidshare.com/files/67231178/Themes.rar
I was going to upload it here but i think attachments must have to be vetted by mods so they dont appear immediately and i also want the free points for my premium account on rapidshare
So if you download it please download as a free user, its 1.8mb and there about 50 themes in there

bluef1 i would feel extremely intelligent after fernadosaez's reply, now that was stupid
these are the best themes ive ever seen thanks
Thanks for sharing.
Thank's a lot "scousemartin" That's what i was talking about really thanks.
By the way these other themes are also very nice.
I didn't believe in this what Fernandes says i'm green in all this rom kichens and stuff but not so much green to believe in this accelerator story...
By the way thank's to everybody who was trying to help me.
Using the ocasion and your experience in this matter can you advice me which rom would be the best for me.
I got 6 wizards in my company. 5 of them is used by my drivers and i was thinking which rom would be good for them i need stable one with some extra programs that i can manage the pda desktop. The drivers are using mails and navigation and of course telephone.
Can you advice me some good rom because at this moment they are using oryginal Orange Windows Mobile 5 but this one really sucks hangs up almost every day missing calls ect. I will be gratefull for some advice.
Second question is can i do something with wizard which after unsucessfull rom flashing don't want to turn on anymore. When i took of the battery i see that screen flast some 0,05 sec so it's working but i cannot put him in BootLoader mode anything. I was trying also to wait few our without a battery but it didn't help eighter. No i will try 2 days but what next ? Can i still try something?
I was going step by step with advices from this forum but after flashing my cidlocked G4 with rom T-mobile 2.26 i saw splash screen with some beer and that was it. I turned off and never saw him life again. If somebody has some good ideas would be great.
One again thank's and greeeeeetings WIZARDS ...
glad you all like the themes , i only realised today that i didnt zip all the themes up but if anyone wants any more just let me know on here. As for roms and which is the stablest fastest etc, that is everyones personal choice, i personally go for tnt's professional + Home rom which can be found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341550
and i also use the tmobile 2.19 radio which you can get here
ftp://xda:[email protected]_Thread/T-Mobile-NL_2.19.11_Radio_Only.zip
I have had people saying that they have had their phone freeze when making a call but i have had no problems whatsoever with that. I would also install battstatus and overclock the device i overclock it to 247mhz and it runs great , it might use a bit more battery power but it runs pretty well and it makes tomtom 6 run much better (I mention that point, as you stated that 5 of the devices are used by your drivers). Also i would install tweaks2k2.net as you can remove permissions from each device. I.E. Stop your employees from changing things
Thank you once again for all advice, I'm really glad for it. I'm gonna start changing the soft on my mobiles one by one from today already.
Do you maybe have an idea also how to start this wizard which didn't stand up after flash as well?
Stupid?

Future New HTC Raphael User

Hi!
I'm looking to get a Touch Pro as soon as my Orange contract is up (couple of weeks) - I see a lot of people saying that as soon as they got it, once they put in a decent ROM it all worked great.. question then is - I see lots of roms, but I can't see any "numpty" description of what each offers and why i'd want to use it?
Am I missing something really obvious ?
Thanks!
Matt.

Yes I think you do. Raphael has plenty of memory and stock rom is good enough with TF3D (which most of us agree that is very good and finger friendly). So needed changes are only for tweeking TF3D or remove some "un-usefull" applications.
There is no competitive phone out there to get something from.
With my Artemis I flashed meschle 's rom to have goodies from Touch, Iphone etc. With Raphael there is no need for this. I 'm satisfied with it "out of the box".
Maybe later when something new shows up.
Maybe Xperia UI. Are you listening xda experts?
My opinion.

got my fuze. Now what?

to my fellow posters,
phew, after a long time waiting, and searching; the fuze has arrived. Its a nice phone, sleek; i just wish i had the original HTC TouchFLo instead of att crap. Build quality feels a little cheap, thank god for the insurance, a relief for us whom bought a tilt when they launched with no insurance. Though i hear the deductible is steep. Had a quick time at the at&t store, when it finally got to my turn. Joseph was nice and informative. I was not given free car charger and/or case like some lucky users, though i did take a swing at it.
So its here now, so what to do now guys? What are recommended roms, and programs etc? I want this phone to do everything lol
really would like :
touch pro EURO touchflo interface(if possible)
nice browsern and all that good stuff. Lets all come together and gasp in Fuze joy! Thanks guys!

hey asad:
bro you are asking questions that are really based on individual taste. What rom is recommended could differ heavily from one user to another .. imo monx aka hung tuah's roms are pretty good. I have tried his kaiser roms they are good.
as far as changing touchflo interface you can just flash a different rom that has the euro version or wait for someone to use a att build and incorporate the euro touchpro interface etc...
I would recommend looking around and searching for various cabs. The sky is the limit !!!

No really, that is up to you! But if you ask me, try the RomeOS 1.40 I think it works best for now!
Also maybe you should consider changing the radio for better performance!
Good luck!

this is so simple its unbelievable you didnt look this up before buying your fuze
go to the diamond forum and get tf3d configurator you can put so many themes on
Got mine today also!
I put my tilt on sale last night just in case the Fuze was out, and bought my Fuze today also. the rom is slow and sluggish I need a rom fast. The phone is cool though, a little smaller than I thought, but cool.

In my experience of trying them out over the past couple of weeks, most of them dont work on the Fuze in landscape mode. Hopefully that will change now that there are so many Fuzes out there!
I know Nisse has a couple that work on the Fuze so he is a good place to start. (I've been running his HTC Black theme since he released it and i like it a LOT better than the stock AT&T theme...)

In the Phone's settings, System Tab, Disable AGPS, go to External GPS, set the GPS program port to COM0.
Start up WLM, and your GPS will work perfectly
im using 02 blue that one is working so far but of course landscape is boring gray
and what must i do to make gps work with google maps it doesnt seem to find a satellite?
and im using romeos now

I've got a New HTC Touch Pro 2 - What now?

Guy's,
I made the plunge, well, I didn't think i would get it, but won a htc off ebay! Should be delivered in 3 or so days, so long as the bloody postal strike doesn't hold it up!!!!!
Ok, What do I do now? Advice and suggestions would be welcomed.
It's going to be a standard out of the box handset. with WM 6.1 pro.
What mods/upgrading/software should I have? Should i use spb 3.5?
Can't wait to get my hands on it.
cheers.
Hi,
All your questions & mod tips are here, but you'll need to do some catch-up reading: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=479
Enjoy your new PPC!
First read the Wiki and then just spend a couple of weeks with it and exploring the TP II forum. We don't know how you will use your phone or what you expect from it so we can't recommend anything at this point. Only you know what you want the phone to do.
So educate yourself, determine what you want and then everyone here will be happy to help you get there
No probs, will do.
Expect loads of questions from me in the next few weeks.
It arrived today! I wasn't expecting it until maybe Thursday but what an awesome phone! Been playing around with it for most of the day.
Sorry guy's, I have to ask, what would you recommend I install as upgrades? What do you think I should mod it with?
I'm also going to do a bit of reading, but would love your thoughts.
Cheers.
I would first recommend upgrading to WM 6.5. Then install TouchFLO as a UI and install the Microsoft Marketplace. There are tons of apps there to customize your phone how you like! Also check out the programs here on XDA. Just look around and you will find things that fit your interests. For example, you may come across a tool that enables your phone to schedule text messages (handy if you want your girl to think you're so sweet by sending her a good morning message first thing in the morning lol works like a charm). Also, Google Maps is an excellent GPS program, but Windows Live Local has better turn by turn directions. I would recommend one or both of those.
^Very good recommendations above...WM6.5 is a must then you can customize from there...
Excellent, cheers guys.
More stuff like this please.
Also, I'm going to be using the phone for business. Is there a software program to read email better than the standard email view on the phone?
What business apps would you recommed?
I've also been advised to flash it with the latest HTC radio and NRG Photon Rom? Someone also said to use SPB 3.5?
Where do I get these programs from?
I think i've got touch flo on it, does this sound right TouchFLO 3D 2.1.38163.1?
bump anyone?

If you don´t like Manila 2.1 de select it and then you can install spb, personally I prefer touch flo than spb but that is matter of tastes.
Good luck,
Cheers for that.
Also, Is there another updated version of manilla and how do I tell which version I have? I've seen people have been talking about manila 2.5? What are your thoughts?

CHT switches question??

Hi.
Apologies if this has been asked before but I've searched for a specific answer to my problem and can't seem to find the exact answer I'm looking for.
I've had my HD2 for around 18 months and still love it, great phone. Last year I had CHT installed, one of the early versions. At some point it started to crash and cause problems etc. so I uninstalled it and forgot about it really. Anyway, I recently installed it again and after several installs and uninstalls I got version 1.7.1.2 to run with no problems. It just seems to be the most stable on my phone. I'm happy with that, it suits my needs fine. All I'm really interested in is the additional pages and quick links on the home page and the smaller clock which also displays my appointments, missed calls, weather, text etc. I'm obviously running the same version of editor side by side and I did have to update my .NET framework to 3.5 (I think).
However, there is one thing I'm missing, where has the switches gone that used to be on the original version I had. The little black and white ones for switching the Wi-Fi on, or rebooting the phone. I did find these very useful but either I'm doing something wrong or they're not on the version I have. Which seems a little strange as I'd have thought this would have been a step backwards. Or, do I have to install an additional file to have these as well? If so, could someone kindly point me to an idiots guide on how to get them please. I'm no techie but I can manage simple instructions, lol.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards.
Darren.
The first switches and notifications in CHT came with version 1.8.0. Look here for the changelog.
Aaaaahhh, now that I wasn't aware of.
Many thanks for answering my question, much appreciated.
Darren.

Hi all....apologies for the late reply but I've been away working. Many thanks for your input, I'm now successfully running the latest version with no problems at all, runs brilliantly and no issues of the battery draining etc. It really does take this phone to a whole new level, absolutely fantastic!
I was due to upgrade just after Christmas but I doubt I will now. The HTC HD2 with this mod and a couple of others little tweeks still takes some beating in my eyes. It was streets ahead when it first came out and can still give a lot the newer phones a run for their money.
Thanks again to all concerned, very much appreciated.
