FULL SCREEN mode all the time ...

I am looking for advice here, somewhat of a newbie.
I want to run all of WM6 with the top start menu hidden and the bottom menu bar hidden (like full screen mode in IE). When you press a button these bars re-appear.
Does and application or hack like this exist ?

This is an easy one. In IE, tap menu/view/full screen. The top & bottom bars are gone. Tap/hold/full screen on the touch screen to go back.

Yeah, I am hoping to do this with all of WM6 in general.
I checked into Wisbar but am unconvinced this is the right app.

I'm in the same boat, did you end up figuring something out?

look up vijay555, he has a full screen mod. basically changes the top and bottom bar size. but to go back , you have to go into the program and change the values again. i don't have the know how, but i would think that someone could write a mortscript to run specific values, one for full screen and regular,.

Somebody asked me about this and I've reposted some new screenshots a couple of times today. Have a look here, regarding whether it was possible to make Word and Excel full screen.
I've written VJToggleToday II Alpha, which it surprises me that people are still using as it is so crippled. However, that app will hide the Start Bar and softkeys for most purposes. However, unless you intend to replace the start bar with an alternative, as I've done here:

this can be more of a pain in the butt then just living with the normal start bar (as you have difficulty accessing the start bar, when you remove the start bar, although see VJKeyPress for an alternative route)
In any event, VJToggleToday has been written from the ground up as VJToggleToday IV, but this is unreleased right now. Version IV will not have the above problem - the bars will reappear when you want them to, automatically.
For a more effective solution, VJSihaya is where I'm really going, but that's not released yet [if ever!]. These are some screenshots for that:

PS It might not be apparent, but those are native screenshots. VJSihaya will remove the soft keys and relocate their functionality to a menu available when clicking the icon (top left of each window). VJToggleToday IV Redux is being used to hide the native start bar (at the top). The start menu continues to be accessible from VJSihaya's icons when it is otherwise hidden.

Have you thought of a bar like the Mac has at the bottom that reappears when you move closer to the bottom of the screen? I know we don't have a mouse movement but what if we run the stylus near the bottom of the screen?

Entirely possible, but for what purpose? For the soft keys or the start bar?
VJToggleToday IV hides the star bar completely or almost completely, optionally, but only on the Today screen. When you click away to another app, the start bar is there in its ugly ass normal position, optionally. I generally keep it hidden and replaced, as in my screen shot above.
The soft keys are typically intergral to use of most apps, so in the current incarnation of Windows Mobile, you shouldn't really hide them completely, so VJToggleToday IV gives you the option to do so, but it's generally not advised, except on the Today screen.
However, future versions of something like VJToggleToday will have a much more invasive cosmetic re-jigging of the standard Windows Mobile interface, to get rid of start bars and soft keys for a much better integrated solution.

For me it would be for all the shortcuts to applications, instead of cubes turning, and once it is visible, it could scroll sideways with arrows on each end. (an animated start bar I guess...)

Classic Game For Your XDA - "ANOTHER WORLD!"

This game was originally released on the Mac back in the early 1990's. The author then ported it to PC lter, and now a 3rd party, ith the authors permission of course, has ported it to WM5/WM6, and it is no freeware. The PC version still costs $8.99, but the mobile version is free.

hey a cannot open the download can you help me pleaase!! I love this game!!

Cool! I played this game when it was released on the PC, and at the time it was impressive: Smooth animations and a sound quality not heard until then (when the most you got were bips) . Not to mention that it was a well developed story.
Update: I just installed it on my Samsung i780 and F-S Loox N560, it doesn't work on either . So it's probably QVGA compatible only. I will test it on my Touch and see if it works there. BTW, there's a Game Boy Advanced version as well that was ported some years ago.

Assign the left (right?) softkey functionality to Camera to be able to bring up the menu.

Do I have to resign my softkeys on my prophet, too? Why couldn't they make this easier?

run past him...i can't really remember how coz i palyed it some time ago but in the 2. or third scene is some kind of obstacle or an elevation,so play with the monster,lure him to the first scene,then run past...or something like that...anyway you can't kill it

Run to the left, when he's about to jump over you, jump and keep running to the left. In the last screen you'll see a rope over the edge of the rock, jump from there and he'll grab the rope and move from left to right over the monster, then run all the way to the right.
BTW it's a great port. But I have found no simple way to bring up the menu on the HTC Touch. I mapped the camera button to left or right soft-key with no luck. Then I found that if you hold the power button as if you where going to power it off, as soon as the confirmation dialog appears, you can say "no" and the menu of Another World will pop up so you can quit without having to reset or power off.

Yeah i have the same troubles on my Touch Cruise.
I mapped left soft key to kamera or voice button (button 4) but it didn't help. Mapping is working in manila 2D, but not in the game (. So u cannot even enter code to continue in game.

Try to do the same: Hold the power button until a dialog asks to shut down. Cancel and the menu of Another World will appear.
Unfortunately I sold my Touch (to get a Diamond) and I can no longer play it since VGA is not supported .

Doesn't work on the Motorola Q. It looks like this:

in my opinion the Touch Pal keyboard in both modes. With the less sensitive cab in addition i write igual as with a hardware keyboard - finally.

I'm going to stick with SPB, much easier typing on HD2

I am still waiting for my HD2 but on my Diamond 2, fingerkeyboard seems far more accurate and simpler to use than Touchpal. Having said that, I am quite impressed by the Touchpal keyboard and perhaps a larger screen will make it more friendly to use.
I need to get used to swiping... that may be my main issue....
Anyone here know how you can remap keys? That was something I really like about fingerkeyboard. being able to remap keys so I dont have to go into alternative layouts, hit shift, etc to get the stuff I use 99% of the time... all my smileys, ".com", and even "..." were on that one layout.... seemed much faster IMHO... If I could do that with Touchpal and swipe down to get smileys etc instead of swiping to get a different set of symbols, I would be a happy camper!

I use Touchpal, and I've written an editor for the user dictionary.
It was developed on a QVGA device, but I've seen that it works quite good on WVGA and then on HD2.
I've released it for free on this forum, also.

I always use the 'compact qwerty', it works better then the original qwerty so think i.
But, still i think that the original qwerty from the iphone better works.
That qwerty from the iphone has some spaces between the marks.
Is that possible to make here on xda?

Yes iPhone qwerty touch screen keyboard is the best keyboard I ever use. It's very accurate, you can't press two keys at same time like in WM. It's like, when you press on key, the radius of invis button is increasing, so if you touch other buttons around, thny not triggered.

Touch Pal freezing and cannot see how to Activate
I have the Me Card filled in under People, which covers the Owner information requirement but the instructions to get to where to enter the registration code does not work on the HD2. At the moment CooTek are unable to solve this.
I was premature in wanting to register as the programme currently freezes when the phone comes out of standby and I cannot choose any other keyboard until I soft reset the phone.
I have Touch Pal installed in main memory.
Any ideas folks?

T9 on keyboard. Has there been a cab for it anywhere? Looking for something like what is used on the Blackstone (Touch HD). Can't seem to find anything on that side of the river so can anyone help / advise please?

Why? Cus it's missing certain things (like the keypad), it's got a couple of bugs in it... like error messages asking to send info to Microsoft (see here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639799) and also the blummin rotation thing seems to stick on portrait when i want landscape! That aside, i'm impressed

Oh, one more thing i don't like about it (though there is a way round it as always!)... tomtom... the TG01 cannot directly use it's built in gps! you have to get a 3rd party app to link in conjunction with it! You don't get issues like that on the Diamond or Blackstone do ya!

I have 2 TG01 devices and i did'nt get such an error ever.
But If I am not mistaken gwes.exe is actually the application that monitors your touch screen.
I also ran into some post that refered the error to the screen sensitivity (calibration) and also to the time you actually press the screen (on the same place)-it makes the CPU usage to hit the 40%+ some even talked about 80% in extreme cases...
did it also stay after hard reset/Rom flash?
if so when does it happen to you exactly?

Well, it normally happens when the unit has gone into hibernation mode or if you put it into 'sleep' unsing the power button and then wake it back up later on. I've just had it happen again about 5 mins ago. After that, it got really odd. Every time i pressed the power button, it 'flashed' the screen back on and then went off. This happened about 5 times. In the end, i had to pull the battery and restart. Weird.
As for flashing a rom, if there was a WWE ship out there, it'd be on it right now mate cus this Orange rom is garbage. Sadly, to my knowledge, there isn't one available... or is there?

[SKIN] New MorphGear Multi-Touch Skins

I searched some Multi-Touch Skins for MorphGear on the xda Forum, but i do not found a lot of them, so i decided to create one and post it here.
There are two skins, a first one with buttons X and Y, and a second one without buttons X and Y.
Put files in "MorphGear\Skins" folder.
Orientation : East (So it is Landscape Skin)
Size : 150% (But you can play in 140% or 145%)
You can play also with "Window Size", you have just to remember where are the buttons.
Just try it, and you will see it is very funny, personnaly i like it.
If you like it or not, tell me it here with your raison.
I think i will create a new release of it, with new hidden buttons L+R, X+Y, A+B, A+Y, and B+X.
And correct some bugs, if it is necessary.

I have not error with it, and after some hours and more than fifty downloads, only you have a problem.
So i think you make a mistake.
I think you have just forget a file in the correct folder.
Check if you put in "MorphGear\Skins" folder, the ".jpg" and the ".txt" with the same name.
After in your MorphGear settings, you have just to choose the skin with this name.

For the moment i have no bad replies of Members.
And i put in my first post the numbers of downloads with date.
So i think, those skins are nice.
But i prefere have replies.

Working very bad on my HD2.When i press A it presses B (not always but very often,but i press A without touching B).Direction keys have this bug too (pressing right,it goes left and so on).Skin looks good,but the size of game screen - trash.It is very small and it is bad for eyes.Better leave only buttons and remove the gameboy screen.

I just advice a size, but after you can play with the size what you want.
I play in size "150%" (Maximum % size) or "Windows size" (Maximum size), because it is not too difficult to remember where are the buttons and to use it.

I have no bugs with the two skins, but thanks to explain me your problems, because i said i ahve to make a new release.
So i have to know if someone have problems, even if you are the second on 160 downloaders who reply problems.
I don't know about which skin do you speak (with or without XY) and the raison of your problem when you press a key A, but i hope it is not just the fact you have perhaps too big fingers.
Even if, the button have huge Largeur height size and normal width size for using it.
If you speak about the skin without XY, you can see where you have to touch for using the buttons A and B :
If you speak about the skin with XY, i have to improve it in the new release.
I know that the position of the game screen skin is not perfectly make, but i will check it on the new release.
The aim of the skin is to have the skin of the "GameBoy Advance", but don't worry i am working on the special skin for playing in "Window size" and having simple and huge buttons.

Ок,thank you.I saw where i should press,but it is rather hard not to press another button.
btw,it will be better to make more space between A and B buttons (X and Y too in 2nd skin),more space between cursor buttons (and will be better to make them little bigger).
And here is a bug (i don't have it in other skins).When you press any button and then press Left cursor,then the left cursor will repeat button that you pressed before (not always working) and it lags.Tested this skin mainly on Megaman and Bass (GBA) game.Some other games have this bug,some not.
P.S. Got lags when i pressed left cursor in every game!

I will try to see if i have it also, and if i have it, i will correct it.
But if i have not it, i will telll you and if it is possible, you will giave me more details.
EDIT : I tried on GBA and NES, and i don't have the bug of left arrow repeat, i will try on differents games and every emulation and after, i will tell you.
I had a little lag on GBA emulation (but no in NES) when i pressed very quickly left arrow, then right arrow, then left arrow, and i repeat it a lot times, but i have it with two others skins, so i don't know if it is the skin or MorphGear.
I will continue to test and try, and if it is a bug of the skin, i will check it, but in oder to if it is MoprhGear, i can't check it.

I will wait then.
I just tested some games with other skins-there is no such a bug

I think you make the button is larger, it's small and hard to play games... and make the button with 8 navigation. thank you.

Thanks for your reply and your advices.

I have almost finish the new release, but i have to move for holidays, so when i will come back i will finish and post it.
I hope the new release will be better.

I had a lot of work, so i make my come back now.
I update the Statistic of downloads today on my first post.
My HTC HD2 is on Android Nand now, so i will no post more subjets on WM 6.5 Section, but i will post the realease i explain before for people who want to have it.
