So I been trying to upgrade my OS to the tnt 1437, however every time I try my old OS keeps popping up (OS: 5.1.xxx (Build 15671FARIA.3.5)) ... so for the last 3 days I been trying to search this site for any answers, however all I get is that only happens if the CID is locked, but my phone isn't 1) I unlocked it before to upgrade it in the first place to the above mentioned OS and 2) I checked its status with the Wizard Service Tool (which is AWESOME). So i'm at a lose here as to why every time I either upgrade or downgrade the ROM the same OS keeps showing up. BTW Everything else I can upgrade except the OS. Any help is appreciated. thanks!
Anyone? Anything?
Did you remember what version of IPL and SPL when you unlock your Wizard? It is only unlockable when IPL and SPL is 1.xx (i.e. Downgrade to Button's ROM first). You may post your WST log here for more chance to know what the problem is.
Here you go here is the log:

Did you flash back to the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM before you tried to flash to another custom ROM?

Yes I tried both the button ROM and the love ROM with no change ... On another note I can change the IPL and the SPL with no trouble however the OS always stays the same.
Not the love or button - the original carrier ROM, either T-Mobile or Cingular.
Have you tried doing a hard reset, and then flash to the T-Mobile ROM from a different computer?

I just tried what you mentioned however I got the following error when I was doing the ROM update .... fyi I got it from the tmobile site ... when I ran the rom update I got:
error [326]: invalid command
this nbf file cannot be used for your pda phone. please check your nbf file.
It looks like you originally skipped the 2.26 rom. I did the same thing the first time I flashed a rom. Try flashing back down to the Button rom, then to the 2.26, then the tnt 1437. It worked for me.
Am I doing something wrong here cause every time I try some downgrade its always the same OS that shows up ... 3.3.0.0 that NEVER changes, everything else does.
i have the same problem..

What OS does your phone boot with?
bad flash rom, you need junk the phone or donate to XDA-developers
first take out the sd card.then flash your phone with buttons 1.0 rom.hardreset. then flash it again with buttons rom. unlock the device totaly with the unlock software. hardreset. flash with original t-mobile us 2.26 rom
halfway above 80% pull the usb plug. the phone get stuck and the update program will tell you it doesnt respond. reset the phone (little hole on the side) you will see the 3 color screen . now restart the 2.26 update and when
you get at the part that it starts looking for the phone connect it. sometimes
it just works , sometimes you need to try a few times.. it wont ruin the phone
as i had this many times due to a crashing computer. wjen its done do a hardreset and install the rom you wanted.
hope this helps you guys

how is it a bad flash rom if the IPL/SPL and GSM all change everytime i change roms. The only thing that doesn't is the OS.
Hi, i have the xt926, was working fine, but i did a test using *#*4636#*#* , i selected usa band ,said successful, then selected again cellular, said unsuccessful, lost gsm connectivity, now no work for gsm!!!! Reset the phone reset the sim, factory reset, etc nothing worked!!!
Any ideas? I am heading towards flashing again the rom!
update:
phone was just rooted, no unlocked bootloader ever, running latest firmware and was just debloated.
Any ideas how to install again all the firmware? I tried rsd lite but failed, the latest whole version i found , was saying in fastboot fail due to downgrade.
I will try now DroidHD Utility 2.0 Lite to see if i can do anything
I think i should make a new post, used DroidHD Utility 2.0 Lite and i am back on gsm!Just lost 2 hours of my life but gained back thanks to this tool!Donation time!
So, few days ago I installed app from google play, phone rebooted and got stuck in loading screen. So I flashed the firmware, it came alive but it wont register to mobile network. Neither do I have mobile network settings- those are all grayed out, so wth should i do about it?
What have I done so far:
1. Phone has been rooted.
2. IMEI codes are the same as in the back of the phone.
3. Have tried every firmware I have found on the internet.
4. After firmware flash(have cleaned cache, dalvik`s cache and factory reset)
5. After firmware flash to 1.26 have updated firmware through official channels to 1.41 and 1.65
Still have the same problem, no mobile network. Only thing I have not been able to change yet is S/N.
Is the wrong S/N the reason I do not have mobile network?
Found a solution, thanks for nothing

hi reader. its been almost 1 month since i bought a second-hand Huawei Shotx ath-ul01. when i bought, it was on android 5.1.1, EMUI 3.1. and update was pending for android 6.0 . On first 5 to 6 tries it did not update and ended with error. and when it finally updated successfully it was unable to read both sim cards. and after rollback it even got worst . now when ever i insert a sim card it asks for PUK code and doesn't even accept the real PUK code for my SIM card. i have also tried changing SIM card but the problem is same wit every SIM. Please some one help me through this. i'll be very thank full.
HOPE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU SOON!
Has the device been rooted ever before?
If you have not any better idea, try to perform a factory reset(wipe data) + wipe cache partition after a full backup. Good luck to you.

now somhow i managed to install ath-ul01 but the problem still exist. now i think i just have to flash modem.img somehow, but i cant do that, my bootloader is unlocked but i cant perform any command related to MODEM. like FASTBOOT ERASE MODEM or FASTBOOT FLASH MODEM MODEM.img these commands wont work.
system related commands work like a charm.
I switched to Vodafone recently, and after inserting my new SIM into the phone, Vodafone apps appeared automatically.
I know also discover that in the 'System -> About Phone' there is now a 'custom version' listed as VDF.xxxx.
I also can't register for the beta program and I also can't scan for the new v10 release.
How can I 'unbrand' my ROM to be back to a normal unlocked one (as it was and as I bought it). Is it possible to flash a stock version over it and start again? Or even flash v10 'stock' directly on top of it ?

Forget the beta, stable is rolling out now
You will receive an update to the vodofone branding when you insert your vodafone sim, nothing you can do about that, only way you can get back to clean stock is remove sim and factory reset, but it will happen again once you insert the sim
No stock 10 to flash, wait for OTA

Since I can't find any stock firmware for my C431R2 - and I don't dare to flash any other variant - I'm kinda stuck. I don't even want v10 right now, I just want to loose the Vodafone branding.. maybe I'll go to a Vodafone store and force them to undo it.
Will a factory reset clear the branding? Since it's labeled as firmware I'm kinda afraid it will survive a factory reset .
If a factory reset works, I can just ignore the Carrier-update, right ?
Same issue with Altice in France...
Luckily I disabled auto-install over night before it installs, but it is downloaded and I can't find where to delete the file... I guess it is not possible.
I didn't reboot my phone for a whole month, scared that it might install the custom ROM.
But I start to believe that if I don't install it first, I won't get v10....
not sure if I should remove SIM card > reboot > install v10 when available, or just can't do anything and have to install the custom rom if I want further updates
I'm so glad my Telco (Telstra) doesn't push these updates, I don't think you can remove them easily apart for factory resetting but what I would do is:
turn off phone > remove sim > connect to hisuite > backup > then reset to factory through hisuite > update through hisuite > restore backup in hisuite > insert sim.
But this seems like a pain on the ass to do every update and it's probably best to just not use companies that push carrier updates.
Hello!. I have a P30 from Claro operator (I'm from Colombia) and I would like to know if you can flash to a global firmware without having to unlock the bootloader. The operator firmware bothers me a lot because it doesn't update often.

Have you tried to factory reset without any simcard? or even factory reset and update via hisuite?, if it did remove claro updates it would probably install them again when reinserting sim but you can just turn off auto updates in developer settings under "Automatic system updates" (https://androidcure.com/huawei-p20-enable-developer-options-usb-debugging/).
In regards to flashing firmware you may be able to use usb-otg method (https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p30-pro/how-to/help-please-change-firmware-o2-phone-t3999837) and (https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...orial-vog-l29-flash-firmware-153-usb-t3928793)
Flashing the global rom over your rom may brick your phone and I would try a similar firmware to your current one before trying the global firmware.
Using HiSuite, I managed updating to v9.1.0.240 and ignoring the custom update. I think v10 will be installable just the same way without the custom version soon.
But from the smartphone update system, it still shows me the downloaded custom v9.1.0.1.
So I need to get my hands on the FullOTA version of v10 for my model so I can actually try flashing it.
But I can't even find any v9. 1 FullOTA version for my rom, let alone v10.
Only on that paid firmware download site, but it sounds very sketchy and bogus to be paying 17 dollars for a download (if they actually deliver)
