Hey,
i had a problem (which turned out to be my carriers problem), however i tryed a lot of stuff fixing it and mangaged to lower the sound quality (in calls, not when i listen to music) significantly.
i hear the caller very unsharp and the sound is noisy and unclear, barely understandable.
Im using xda2's wm6.5.
is there any way to reset to the original in-call sound settings and get rid of the very bad sound quality?
thanks a lot, drdoomgod
its working fine on my side
i reflashed (which solved the problem for me) because of the unrecognizable call quality.
im using cracings 6.5 now and its all working fine

Upgraded to WM6, everything is great, but the sound of a call. Either in the loudspeaker or ear one, the sound of the caller comes out distorted. Can't understand what people are saying to me. They can hear me. Tryed changing speaker and didn't work. Any ideas?
P.S. - MP3 works just fine on the loudspeaker and bluetoothearphone works.
All help welcome!
Hi everybody
I'm having problem with my t-mobile pulse (huawei u8220) with android 2.1.
When someone is calling me (the phone is ringing), i hear music and after 2-3 seconds sound is very very quiet and have distortion. This is not always, sometimes ringing is normal (so i think this isn't hardware problem, but software problem). The vibrations works well.
When i'm listening music or setting the ringtone sound works well.
Any ideas or something?

I have the same problem with my Pulse. I recently updated to Android 2.1 and noticed the ringtone problem. I have the same symptoms as you, distortion and low sound quality when the sound is ringing. I even tried putting external mp3 file, but the problem occured again.
Pozdrav.
Hello, first of all my english isn't good enough to describe all i want to say, i hope it's enough understandable.
My device xperia z3 (D6653) has a problem on speaker with incoming calls and activate loudspeaker phone during phone calls, the ringtone is too low.. as well as my speaker in phone calls.. the music is working fine and loud as it should be (both speaker work, top and bottom) but when somebody call me the phone rings too low even though every volume level is set to max! it's even more weird because when i go to "phone ringtone" like i would to set a new one, when i play the ringtone i already put or any another one the volume is normal as it should be and both speakers work.. but the problem still goes on when somebody calls me the bottom speaker only working and the phone sound is too low to hear of course as i mentioned when i active phone speaker during a call the bottom speaker still only working and i can't hear the caller while no sound or noise near me (quite place)!!
please help me, i am really very very disappointed.. i am missing most of my incoming calls because of this, and i can't hear the when loudspeaker is activated in calls..
P.S: the phone sound overall become a bit low but pretty noticeable after lollipop update or whatever i don't know, it was more louder when i bought it new, btw the speaker issue is remained the same when it was new though..
Build number; 23.4.A.0.546
Thanks.
please anybody help me!! i need a new software to solve this problem.. i can barely hear my phone ringing or even loudspeaker during calls...
Anyone got any idea why the incoming call quality on my N5 has got poor all of a sudden? It used to be fine, but now, all incoming calls are very quiet (even with the volume cranked up to max during the call), and the quality is very tinny. Is there a setting somewhere that can change this? The audio from the speakers is fine, it just seems to be the earpiece speaker that's the issue.
Thanks for any help!
hi
just got a new xperia 5. The phone has some really bad audio distortion when video calling with Whatsapp or speaker phone voice calls. It sounds like the audio volume is far too high for the speakers causing lots of crackling and distortion. Its as if a speaker is plugged into an amp that is far too powerful for it. Has anyone else experienced this, or got any suggestions on how to fix it? Or do I need to send the phone back.
I've tried turning off dynamic vibration and dolby atmos, but no difference.
The issue only seems to occur with WhatsApp video or voice calls on speaker phone. It doesn't happen for standard GSM calls even on speaker phone or if playing a recorded message or video through whatsapp. Other apps don't seem to have any problems.
In WhatsApp I can kind of fix the problem by turning the volume down by about 30% but then the speaker volume is a bit too quiet.
