JFv1.5 on Haykuro's ADP1.5Hr3 build?

How do u get JF's v1.5 in Haykuro's latest 1.5 build? Thx
are you asking how to use JF's Kernel in the Haykuro build? to make a hybrid build?
I think it would be easier to import the bits you like from Haykuro's build into JF's build.
yea cuz haykuro's build has the zoom feature with the camera and camcorder but jf builds are lacking them

Why not just use Haykuros build?
To answer the OP's question you don't. Pick either Haykuros, The Dudes or JF's build and install, from there you can try to customize the build to your liking.

Unfortunately this post does not make much more sense than your first one. Take your time and formulate your sentences. This is not meant as criticism, but it is hard to follow what you are asking.
If you are on JF's 1.42 build and want to go to a 1.5 (cupcake) build then you have a few options:
1) The "official" google ADP build. This has the benefit of being unmodified but honestly I can not think of a reason to go to this rather then JF's build.
2) JF's 1.5 build. This is basically the android build with root and a few features useful for root. To get the full list of changes go to JF's blog.
3) Haykuro's build. There are two versions of this build one based on Googles ROM release and one on HTC's. The HTC one has some added programs including Exchange sync and a PDF reader. Some have reported speed and/or stability problems but the latest builds from Haykuro are supposed to have corrected these problems. Short version: few more added programs than JF's build. I do not use this build so if my statements as to it's features are incorrect feel free to correct me.
4) The Dude's ROM: A different variation based on the cupcake source tree. I am sorry to admit I know little about this build.
So to recap. If you are on JF 1.42 and want 1.5 then make a choice among the ROMs listed above and go to the appropriate thread an the development subforum, read up on the features as well as limitations, and follow the instructions to flash your phone.
Any update of 1.42 to 1.5 will be a firmware update though. any update to any ROM would be a firmware update. None of the above are the official releases from any carrier however so there may be missing features, namely the Amazon music store and the various IM clients that are not gtalk. Again research the thread for the various ROMs.
Thx. Mod plz lock

openvpn on magic? tun.ko?

Hi all,
I try to run the openvpn scripts for the dream on our magic, but with no success. I don´t know if it´s a problem with the kernel version or the tun.ko module. did someone know how to load the tun.ko modul on the magic?
It only come included in the ADP rom version? Do i need to compile it with the magic kernel?
Thanks...
No one know about how to load tun.ko module in magic? come on android gurus!!!!
let me see a bit of light
there is an ADP rom for de magic? that include the modules (tun.ko)?, maybe the ION rom?
Come on android kernel hackerks, no one know about the modules????
JF 1.51 ADP has tun.ko.
*Bump* I too would love to have VPN working from off my Android device. Nobody did this before?
For what do you need this? University or some other alike networks? It's possible for me to use besides openvpn a WPA2 Enterprise connection with TTLS and certificates... maybe it's possible for you too. Then try "Wifi Helper Pro/lite"!
Common poteck, answer him already!
EDIT: ooops I didn't realize how old this thread was.

Kernel for [32A] Motorola Cliq by Raiderx303 & Drizzy"(Alpha-test)

Alright, so im itching to tryout the Blur ROM. Last night I wanted to try out the preliminary rom Drizzy had up on my 32A Magic. I figured since the rom is based off of cupcake a version of the cupcake kernel should make it work.
I then tried the rom with Cyan's 4.04 kernel. No luck. After this i tried watever kernels i had on my SD card at the time. So that included myhero, evilhero (these two were really just for kicks), hofo kernel. None of these worked.
So I wanted to know if you guys know which kernel will make it work if there are any existing ones which will make it work... And if not could someone make a kernel ? Thanks for the input
Yea, same problem here. Cant wait till someone ports it or points to a working 32a kernel.

Could anyone can get the GOOGLE MAPS 4.0 on the market?

I have saw the 4.0;
i want to make a rom so that we can use it without uninstall the old.
anyone can get it?
and should be english.

My rooted G1 running OpenEclair v1.1.5 Beta received the update yesterday
My rooted G1 also has the 4.0 Map version running.

Take a look here. There's patches for nearly all versions. I have used that in every kernel I included BFS in.
http://ck.kolivas.org/patches/bfs/
Have you used those to patch an Android specific kernel? Those are the patches im using but they are intended for the mainline kernel and none of them patch 100% clean but ive hand patched the problematic parts. The kernel version im using 2.6.32.9 which kolavis doesnt acually have a patch for im assuming becuase its not a mainline kernel version? Ive tried a few other 2.6.32 patches and ive trie bfs v311 v313 v404 and each have there own problems v313 will compile but i have to remove the mmc support for some reason.
If youve compiled an Android kernel with BFS i would love to know what kernel version and BFS version so maybe i can start some investigation.
Maybe someone knows what mainline kernel the android 2.6.32 kernel is forked from?
