What ROM for IGO8?

As far I know (and observed), IGO8 is not working on WM6.0. So,what ROM shall I use to have a working IGO8?
Thank you in advance for your advices.
After installation I have a freeze on my device, after the acceptance of license (EULA). If I reboot the device and try to open IGO, same symptoms, device freeze during start-up procedure.
I have disable A-GPS using Kaiser Tweak or Advanced Config
Currently using WM6 18129.0.4.5

I have IGO8 working with standard ROM and WM6.0.

I have the same version and IGO8 is running very well...

Both iGO 2006 and iGO 8 are working here.
However, I have removed iGO 8 since it was... let's say... "evaluation" coopy...

So why does it hang and what can i do to fix it~... i've tried "HARD" and it's doing the same thing~

If it's not legal, buy iGO, whichever version suits you best.
If it is legal, check again if A-GPS is really disabled.
And reconsider if that is best nav software for you.

There is known issue with iGO: it hangs on splash screen when a-GPS is enabled. You can easily disable it with Schap's Advanced Config.

Lookes like that you have a trial version, I have had the same problems.
Installed a final version after removing completely the trial version.

[HELP !] Kaiser Orange + schaps 4.31 : no network

Anybody please Help !
Yesterday night I flashed my Kaiser with HardSPL 1.1 then Schaps 4.31.
Everything went fine, after reboot I found myself in the expected purple theme, I did a hard reset, a little bit of config and... and nothing ! No network, couldn't connect to Orange network
I tried manual network config, schaps assistant, no way !
Radio is 1.27.14.32, hint : camera works fine (I read in the forums that network and camera are linked, sort of...)
Can anybody help me ?

No other radio yet, the only other 6.0 I have is 1.27.15.32, I will try it but at present I'm at work and i can't disable the anti virus, which I think is not recommanded while flashing...?
... maybe I can flash the radio with a SD ? (no PC environment problem then ?)

Here at work i can flash even with the AV (McAfee).
You can find radio only here (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_Radio)
Why don't you try WM6.1 ? There's many very good one here.
Anyway if you want orange rom there's one. Look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414238 where you can download French or English Orange Rom WM6.1.

I was tempted by 6.1 but I want a french one and the only I found are ansar's and noThrills's.
I have no return on these ROM's behaviour on Orange in France and I thought it was best to start playing with a localized ROM.
May I ask which one you are using ?
If I'm stuck I may try the recently released official Orange 6.1, but I'm borred with Orange's crap stuff.

Currently i use Hyperdragon III (4/8/2008)(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397121). It's in english, but It's the best rom i found (i have tried many of them...). Maybe one day a cooker will be able to provide an HyperDragon in french ...
Since have a "Ten by Orange" abonnement the only thing i can't use it's EasyWeb (it's just OperaMini with startup page by Orange/Ten) and WLMail a java client for Hotmail.
But the rest work ok.
Internet work very well with (IE, Opera 9.5, Opera Mini...) and to have access to the OrangeWorld portal there's one thing to do about the "User Agent".
About the mail i can install the cab from ten by orange and use their tool to configure three mail box....but you can look at your mail with Opera (by ex) if you have a webmail (GMail, LaPoste.net, ...).
About tchat you can use the MSN Messenger (but the one provided by the cab from orange (3169.cab for the Kaiser)).

PS : Since Opera build 1780 i can access the orange portal with Opera 9.5 (i think it can use the user agent from IE now)(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401643)

Do you have any problem with keyboard and french ? did you use the registry tweak to make it work with french azerty hard and soft kbd ?
Meanwhile I tried to install radio 1.27.12.17 : no success.
I'm now trying new Orange 6.1 ROM, hope it'll work...

At last !!!
The Orange 6.1 ROM works !
First it means that my Kaiser is not bricked , then it also means I can try other ROMs and feel safe because I should be able to restore a working config, nice!
BTW I'm still with hardSPL 1.1 (AT) does anyone know if I can keep it or should I move to 3.28 since I now have a 6.1 ROM ?

I've seen this behavior couple of time,
I just had to enable the plane mode and redisable it... Radio was back !
(don't really know/understand why, but it did the trick)

This is interesting to note, matter of bad init ? I'll try it if it happens again with another ROM, THX sebbes.

I woke up to a similar problem today, different rom and radio though.. I was running ROMeOS and 1.58.25.17, woke up this morning to no signal. A few soft resets and 2 radios later, still no service. Any ideas? Was working fine yesterday.

Sigh, also just hard reset. No difference.

About the keyboard :
Software : I have buy a soft keyboard named VGAKEY (http://vgakey.net/web/index.php?enhome) The price is about 3€ ) it work very very well and support many many languages.
Hardware : Using Shap Advanced Config you can put the keyboard in french.
I'm looking for a french dictionary for the keyboard now

HTC Touch Pro ROM Update is available

Hello everybody,
ROM Update is available for download at http://http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=140&cat=all
Unfortunately when I try to download it there is message saying “this upgrade is not suitable for your device”.
Does any one have some experience with this ROM Upgrade?

Correct, it is only for arabic language, but why we are not able to download it?

It is true, the update is just a package for Arabic update only that localizes the Touch Pro. The user needs to provide the device serial number which I doubt it is region based serial numbers.
Otherwise, there ain't any ROM update so far -to my knowledge

HT835K010234 this S/N works for german ROM. Used it for my also Vodafon Branded (not anymore ) Phone
Edit: But u have to do this Hard SPL from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150, because vodafon prevents installing from this Firmware. Even its official.

Anyone tried the new firmware? I donloaded it but I am not installing yet...
I want feedback from users that already installed it and are using it.
Anyone comment on the new firmware?
Is it faster? What version of opera browser does it have? Is it resolving the hardware keyboard issues? Does it have the Hd Touchflow3d? Things like that...

I flashed it yesterday (my previous ROM was the original one), so I can only tell you the main changes I can see:
- TouchFlo 3d is the same as before - no new panels like in hd
- this rom seems to be very fast, it boots very quickly after installing all programs I use
- issues with camera seems to be fixed (I had problems with focusing, sometimes it didn't work)
- Google Maps are integrated in system, there's no need to download them from internet
- touchflo is much faster than before
- I can see Help shortcut in Start menu, I didn't have it in previous version
- Opera version is 9.5 Build 15306
That's all I can say about it now, I'm a little bit disappointed because of TouchFlo, I thought that HTC will add some new panels. But the ROM seems to be very stable and THPS2 is playable even without Omnia graphic driver.

Could some one provide serial to download English rom?

This ROM has also fixed one of the most annoying bugs: clock moving back a few hours when phone is set off. I haven't had this problem since I installed this new ROM.
But the new ROM has a terribly amateurish bug: in the "people" page of TF3D the left menu item reads "Contact" instead of "Contacts". Does anybody know if a registry edit can fix that?

Does anyone knows if with the new rom we need the ati d3d driver for better performance of the graphics or the Sd tune cab for better speed of the sd card???

I certainly needed the D3D Driver to get the Diamond Hologram to have any frames per second.

Google Maps Mobile with X05HT

Has anyone been able to install the latest version of Google maps Mobile on a standard X05HT ROM?
I'm running 1 version back with minimal problems, but can't even install the latest version. It comes up with 'A problem with shell32.exe' and fails the install.

works fine here, man. Never had a problem. Strange.... because I am also using the stock rom.

The same happens with mine, Softbank X05HT satandard ROM. "Problem with shell32.exe." Any help would be appreciated.

I tried using the Japanese Google homepage (http://maps.google.co.jp/maps) and use the links for "keitai" (in kanji). Then everything went smooth.
Previously I use the English one, and it failed. So I guess if you use standard Japanese X05HT, install the map using Google Japanese homepage.

The Japanese version is older than the latest English version, though. The same version works in English as well.
Maybe they'll come out with a Japanese update at some stage......

Does not work for me. I tried installing over 3.2.16 included in ROM but I get a error, a file or something not found I guess. But google 3.31 would not work on many rOM's either. I will try to cook a ROM without it and see if I can install the new one.

Works perfect for me tho, using Miri HD2 WM6.5.X (23529) ROM :: V 3.1. Haven't tried buzz out yet. Thx

works great on my own cooked ROM.interesting new feature but we'll see if it is any good.I am just a bit concern about sharing my exact location while chating with strangers.I am sure someone in a future will be stupid enough to leave comment like"I am off for holiday" and when he/she comes back there will be nothing left in his/hers house.

compass works fine on stock 1.66 rom, although there is no rotating maps like the iphone version.

Working very very well on my custom 2.07 base ROM. Added a few 'buzzes' to comments that have been posted around me.
Mostly people saying how good their iphone is. I correct them and let them know how crap it is haha
