As far I know (and observed), IGO8 is not working on WM6.0. So,what ROM shall I use to have a working IGO8?

I have the same version and IGO8 is running very well...
Both iGO 2006 and iGO 8 are working here.
However, I have removed iGO 8 since it was... let's say... "evaluation" coopy...
So why does it hang and what can i do to fix it~... i've tried "HARD" and it's doing the same thing~

If it's not legal, buy iGO, whichever version suits you best.
If it is legal, check again if A-GPS is really disabled.
And reconsider if that is best nav software for you.

There is known issue with iGO: it hangs on splash screen when a-GPS is enabled. You can easily disable it with Schap's Advanced Config.

Lookes like that you have a trial version, I have had the same problems.
Installed a final version after removing completely the trial version.

The rom was built for the wizard so that the wizard coud handle it. It's not the fastest out there with touchflo but it looks the nicest and is still reasonably fast.
I personally use TNT.1437 Touchflo with a modified OS so that is has a 10MB pagepool and it is very fast.(special Thanks to its right for his original rom)
just saw a new rom by pdaviet on their website. but i couldn't download it as i don't understand vietnamese anyone kind enough to post the rom here? thanks

Hi, my keyboard works perfect.
I tested the rom for only 10 minutes now but seems fast and stable.
No flash disk, extended rom visible, 27 Mb of free ram, no msn, new dialer skin(all green, it does not seem ugly), standard SD recognized, camera working... I have not still had the time to test the bluetooth, wifi...
I hope of to have been useful.

Hi, bluetooth is working, i test it pairing with my GPS receiver, i don't have the bluetooth in my pc, i can't test it but as I have as soon as said bluetooth is working.

thnk for your replay ,in Ranju 7.4 Rom too, bluetooth works with gps but not with activesync ,I wanted to know if this ROM had solved this bug .

I think it only has cellular on your modem list...

This ROM seems ok, but the green of 6.1... It's very, erm, green...

Some of us already posted our impressions...
It's a Ranjus 7.4 ROM cook (almost vanilla). It seems to be a little bit faster, but it's just too green for me...
Installed Ranjus 7.4 ROM again...
I'm actually testing it, on my G4 device is more stable than ranju 7.4, PhamQuang makes his rom from the base of ranju 7.4, xip is from kaiser. For me for now, after 2 days of testing this rom is more stable than ranju 7.4. HTC Task Manager, and manager programs dosn't work correctly. I also can't make bluetooth sync with my vista laptop.

Hi, I had to report one bug.
Sometimes when i did a soft reset the today showed only the date while all the other objects disappeared. In order to resolve it had to make a soft reset. Someone other has found that?

Yesterday night I flashed my Kaiser with HardSPL 1.1 then Schaps 4.31.
Everything went fine, after reboot I found myself in the expected purple theme, I did a hard reset, a little bit of config and... and nothing ! No network, couldn't connect to Orange network
I tried manual network config, schaps assistant, no way !
Radio is 1.27.14.32, hint : camera works fine (I read in the forums that network and camera are linked, sort of...)
Can anybody help me ?

No other radio yet, the only other 6.0 I have is 1.27.15.32, I will try it but at present I'm at work and i can't disable the anti virus, which I think is not recommanded while flashing...?
... maybe I can flash the radio with a SD ? (no PC environment problem then ?)

Why don't you try WM6.1 ? There's many very good one here.
Anyway if you want orange rom there's one. Look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414238 where you can download French or English Orange Rom WM6.1.

I was tempted by 6.1 but I want a french one and the only I found are ansar's and noThrills's.
I have no return on these ROM's behaviour on Orange in France and I thought it was best to start playing with a localized ROM.
May I ask which one you are using ?
If I'm stuck I may try the recently released official Orange 6.1, but I'm borred with Orange's crap stuff.
Currently i use Hyperdragon III (4/8/2008)(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397121). It's in english, but It's the best rom i found (i have tried many of them...). Maybe one day a cooker will be able to provide an HyperDragon in french ...
Since have a "Ten by Orange" abonnement the only thing i can't use it's EasyWeb (it's just OperaMini with startup page by Orange/Ten) and WLMail a java client for Hotmail.
But the rest work ok.
Internet work very well with (IE, Opera 9.5, Opera Mini...) and to have access to the OrangeWorld portal there's one thing to do about the "User Agent".
About the mail i can install the cab from ten by orange and use their tool to configure three mail box....but you can look at your mail with Opera (by ex) if you have a webmail (GMail, LaPoste.net, ...).
About tchat you can use the MSN Messenger (but the one provided by the cab from orange (3169.cab for the Kaiser)).

I'm now trying new Orange 6.1 ROM, hope it'll work...

The Orange 6.1 ROM works !
First it means that my Kaiser is not bricked , then it also means I can try other ROMs and feel safe because I should be able to restore a working config, nice!
BTW I'm still with hardSPL 1.1 (AT) does anyone know if I can keep it or should I move to 3.28 since I now have a 6.1 ROM ?

I've seen this behavior couple of time,
I just had to enable the plane mode and redisable it... Radio was back !
(don't really know/understand why, but it did the trick)

I woke up to a similar problem today, different rom and radio though.. I was running ROMeOS and 1.58.25.17, woke up this morning to no signal. A few soft resets and 2 radios later, still no service. Any ideas? Was working fine yesterday.
Sigh, also just hard reset. No difference.

Software : I have buy a soft keyboard named VGAKEY (http://vgakey.net/web/index.php?enhome) The price is about 3€ ) it work very very well and support many many languages.
Hardware : Using Shap Advanced Config you can put the keyboard in french.
I'm looking for a french dictionary for the keyboard now

You can change the activation to a new device-code via MyTomTom.

I'll have a problem with this right now because I just activated it (twice because of an exchanged unit ) a few weeks ago. So I'll have to wait 6 months or so before being able to re-activate with the new device code.
I was just wondering what the device code is based on - and if a change in ROM will always result in the need to re-activate. Or if it depends on which ROM (Radio / OS ???) is being updated.

Usually trying to re-activate through an automated system will force you to wait 6 months or so, but more often than not, this can easily be handled if you talk to someone there. Just give the people at TomTom a call, tell them you will be updating your phone's ROM and have them ensure that they can re-activate you manually if needed. (Be sure to take that person's name and info down too).
I have flashed several different ROMS and the device code has never changed. And since I've installed TomTom on the SD-card all I have to do is create a new shortcut to the start menu every time I've flashed.

No that is not possible. Google Earth is possible of doing that I think but not Google Maps.
