It is just the M$ build number that the rom is based on. One would think that the more recent the build, the better and more stable the rom would be.
But not always the case.

Old Roms

How many of you are running old roms for speed, performance or feature reasons?
I run DamageControlv1 because it seems to be the fastest most stable of any ROM I've tried.
Sushi Rom very stable, lots of AOSP and very speedy

It's not my poll And I was just pointing that out, because the name of the thread and the OP both mention "Old Roms"

doesn't help much.
What I want to understand is if the latest is supposed to be better then earlier builds.
Or if there isn't any substantial difference for users.
If yes, any changelog?

[Q] CM10.2: galaxyfreak or sakindia123

What's the difference in galaxyfreak's Cyanogenmod 10.2 Weekly build 9 and sakindia123's Cyanogenmod 10.2 Beta#2?
Which ROM is more stable, better and has more features?

Instead of asking why don't you try and see every user has there own need of using the rom and its features..

I meant if the sakindia's version has the HALO 2 feature, the s2e...
And do they have any bugs?

Both the roms are stable and dont have any serious kind of bugs.
Havnt used sakindia's rom that much but have used galaxyfreaks rom the rom is stable and smooth.
I use sakindia's rom with pure performance script and it is smooth.
Generally sakindia ports CM without adding eye candy to it (no halo, no s2w, etc).
Galaxyfreak and 7alvi adds all those features
As mentioned previously, if you'd like to know the difference between ROMs or whether a certain ROM is more stable/has more features than another ROM, simply test them out and find put for yourself.
Yes, it will take you longer to find out but it's better to test things for yourself because you might prefer the features/usability of one ROM while other people may suggest a totally different ROM based on their own usage.

Updating P500

It's over a year since I updated my phone so I've decided it's time to do it again.
Current configuration:
Paranoid Android: 2.52
CynogenMod: 10.0.0-RC0-p500
Kernel: 2.6.35.10-perf+CM10 [email protected] #1 31 Oct 2012
Build number: pa_p500-userdebug 4.1.2 JZO54K eng.bytecode.2012.10.31.132552 test-keys
Recovery: TWRP 2.3.3.0
Baseband: LGP500DAT-00-V20g-OPEN-COM-JUN-14-2011
What I want to know:
Do I need to flash a new recovery?
What ROM would be best for my needs? I want it to be stable optimized with everything working, not necessary the newest android version.
What kernel is the best right now?
Recomended performance/optimization scripts.

Everything depends of your ROM ?!? Try with your present and change if it's need.

How mush you buy ?
The last Jenkins release work fine. The last options make any complications but not always. And the original softwares work fine.

I didn't find stable android 4.3 for p500. I think that it's android 4.2.2 (Kernel 3.0.8-perf+chocolate for mine)

To flash or run through terminal.
Clockwork 5.0 seems fine to flash anything but cm11, I never used TWRP, but if you flashed a cm10 so I think it's no problem flashing new cm from that.

I don't see a new stable rom (link?).
You can update a stable rom to a stable rom or weekly with a dirty flash but a clean flash is needed from weekly to stable.
It's this file. However, I think the author made a mistake and rename it now . It was once named something K30pro, but now it's something K40pro. Anyway, thank you !
