Hi my name is Kostas i'm from Greece and i have a touch pro.i need some answers so i can do some update at my rom from 6 to 6.5.i found i rom that i like but i have some questions.
1.What CDMA is and what GSM,what is the difference and how i know which one i own.
2.To update to another rom i have to Hard SPL my phone?and what is this?do i hve to unlock something?
3.If i flash my touch pro can i install the Greek Language?
4.The rom i found is this

Being in greece I would suspect you have a gsm phone. AFAIK CDMA is only used here in the states. For the answers to the rest of you questions follow the links below.

Changing the language, you must flash your device with another ROMs. WWE = World Wide English.

original rom s..k I have many crashes after return device from standby my today screen smash colours funny and some other issues

now using original rom wm6.0 cht with touch flo 1.0(first one)
wanting to flash it to 6.1/6.5/7.0
and hear something about BRICK.../cooked rom/shhipped rom/ETC
lots of PRO NOUNS,,,

BRICK? i known as DEAD PHONE....(cannot use anymore just throw it away) WHICH I MOST AFRAID!!!!

Of course brick is what you know but good news is it can be revived using one of the many methods in the link below.
COOKED ROM is a ROM built by someone using the OEM pakage with plus and minus of functions and inbuilt software.
SHIPPED ROM is the ROM which comes preinstalled in the PHONE.
CID Lock is Contract ID / Country ID (it means the phone is specific to this country only. (Language and operator)

my question is that i need help how to install a rom on a htc magic branded vodafone .
i truly do not know how it works, (on my htc pro 2 , i do know), does this also work with the magic, do i need to place an hard spl , before do a rom change, and how do i do a rom change.
please can someone help me.

I have found that the vodafone magics do not need to have the SPL flashed (I have one myself). If you use the recovery image from this post

you can flash a ROM from your SD card. Just call it update.zip. You will need the android SDK. Being new-ish here myself this is the way I found to do it and still do use.

Hi I recently acquired an HTC Oboe T9199 phone and it is natively in Chinese. I would like to learn how to flash this phone using an english rom to make the language english. Unfortunately I have no idea how to do this, also where to get the rom.
I appreciate all the help and look forward to any replies.
Also I will be using my Tmobile sim card with this phone.
Still need help with this, is it even possible, I've tried searching through the forums but haven't found anything except guides for the Leo.

this seemed impossible.because this phone is not hacked, the SPL is locked..you cannot use any rom but only the official rom, which has not been updated for a very long time.

Let me know your mail ID, I can send you some link to download English ROM, further its not locked phone, you can flash any HTC 480 X 800 ROM.
You can also download T9199 English version from HTC Hong Kong site.
