UNDO Hard SPL - G1 Android Development

I need to give up my phone (G1 root with cupcake) to my brother to use on T-mobile.
Is there a way for me to revert all of the changes back to OEM?
1. HARD SPL
2. RC33 (OEM)

Can't upgrade OS BUT phone is unlocked!

So I been trying to upgrade my OS to the tnt 1437, however every time I try my old OS keeps popping up (OS: 5.1.xxx (Build 15671FARIA.3.5)) ... so for the last 3 days I been trying to search this site for any answers, however all I get is that only happens if the CID is locked, but my phone isn't 1) I unlocked it before to upgrade it in the first place to the above mentioned OS and 2) I checked its status with the Wizard Service Tool (which is AWESOME). So i'm at a lose here as to why every time I either upgrade or downgrade the ROM the same OS keeps showing up. BTW Everything else I can upgrade except the OS. Any help is appreciated. thanks!
Anyone? Anything?
Did you remember what version of IPL and SPL when you unlock your Wizard? It is only unlockable when IPL and SPL is 1.xx (i.e. Downgrade to Button's ROM first). You may post your WST log here for more chance to know what the problem is.
Here you go here is the log:

Did you flash back to the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM before you tried to flash to another custom ROM?

Yes I tried both the button ROM and the love ROM with no change ... On another note I can change the IPL and the SPL with no trouble however the OS always stays the same.
Not the love or button - the original carrier ROM, either T-Mobile or Cingular.
Have you tried doing a hard reset, and then flash to the T-Mobile ROM from a different computer?

I just tried what you mentioned however I got the following error when I was doing the ROM update .... fyi I got it from the tmobile site ... when I ran the rom update I got:
error [326]: invalid command
this nbf file cannot be used for your pda phone. please check your nbf file.
It looks like you originally skipped the 2.26 rom. I did the same thing the first time I flashed a rom. Try flashing back down to the Button rom, then to the 2.26, then the tnt 1437. It worked for me.
Am I doing something wrong here cause every time I try some downgrade its always the same OS that shows up ... 3.3.0.0 that NEVER changes, everything else does.
i have the same problem..

What OS does your phone boot with?
bad flash rom, you need junk the phone or donate to XDA-developers
first take out the sd card.then flash your phone with buttons 1.0 rom.hardreset. then flash it again with buttons rom. unlock the device totaly with the unlock software. hardreset. flash with original t-mobile us 2.26 rom
halfway above 80% pull the usb plug. the phone get stuck and the update program will tell you it doesnt respond. reset the phone (little hole on the side) you will see the 3 color screen . now restart the 2.26 update and when
you get at the part that it starts looking for the phone connect it. sometimes
it just works , sometimes you need to try a few times.. it wont ruin the phone
as i had this many times due to a crashing computer. wjen its done do a hardreset and install the rom you wanted.
hope this helps you guys

how is it a bad flash rom if the IPL/SPL and GSM all change everytime i change roms. The only thing that doesn't is the OS.

Resseting Raphael to send for Warranty. (Help Needed)

Hey guys, about 10 minutes ago, i noticed that the start button for my phone acted weirdly. It is appearing and dissappearing as if someone is touching it, but the phone is flat on the ground. My fingers are not touching the screen yet the phone is acting as if someone is pressing the screen. After reseeting it, the touch screen went dead. I can navigate with the dpad but not when i press the screen. So i believe it is time for me to send the phone for warranty.
I am from Malaysia by the way.
MY phone is currently flashed (hard-spl) and am running on Topaz Rom. I have also installed the custom boot screen (bios) made available here by a forumer via hard-spl.
My question is, how do i remove the hard-spl and the boot screen that is flashed by hard-spl?
Also how do i remove everything so the phone will qualify to receive the warranty?
I do have the stock ROM but i believe i need to do more than just re-flashing the phone with a stock ROM to claim warranty.
well flashing the stock rom should be the first step. then you have to find the original SPL. someone on here will help you with that, I'm sure.
ok here is what i did when i sent my phone in for HTC warranty in the US:
1) Flash stock radio or any latest radio from your area (if you remember the number of the radio that came with your phone find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=439566
2) Then flash the stock ROM.
3) Then flash the stock SPL (Find your here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=499791 then follow instruction bottom of first post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150
Then check to make sure you have the right radio and go into boot loader to check spl
Thanks for the suggestion jaszek.
And Thank you very much ptyindian for providing the steps , which is quite easy to read.
About the radio, i don't think i have to flash the radio since the official latest ROM that comes from HTC's site already contains a Radio. So i am safe here right?
About the stock SPL, i am not sure which is mine. As i am from Asia (Malaysia) , which one should i get?
1) SPL 5.05 - Extracted from Official HTC ROM (WWE)
or
2)Extracted from Official HTC ROM - Southeast Asia - Sintel-English
. Also , what is the difference between the above 2 and this one :-StockSPL_ForWarrantyOnly_SPL190_1.zip
Yes if you installed the latest rom that was release by HTC and it has a radio included then you are safe about the SPL i am not sure which one you need to flash but i think the spl1.90 was what came with the ATT fuze i think or atleast that is what i had. Maybe some one else can help you more with the exact details on which SPL you need or you can post in the SPL thread and see if some one helps you.

Transfer from EE UK S6 firmware to normal S6 firmware.

Hi all. I am new here.
Ok here is my issue. I have a S6, I bought it from here (I am a expat in the UAE) for some weird reason my phone is from EE network. And I am not using EE I am using UAE Etisalat sim card.
Now my real issue is EE has been a jerk and have not pushed out the Android 6 or Marshmallow. And I want that badly, So I am deciding to flash in a new firmware from a different carrier. (Most likely UAE carrier) So my question is: Will there be any issue if I flash in a different firmware other than EE's firmware?
I appreciate all help.
Bump? I need help ASAP.

Download the updated firmware version you want and flash it using odin which is for flashing Samsung phones. Make a note of your APN first before you do the update because you might have to enter that information yourself in Settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names (APN)..
In order to flash firmware using odin on a Windows PC you need to put the phone in Download mode by first turning the phone off and then holding the volume down button, the home button and the power button all at the SAME TIME and when the screen turns on let go and press the volume up button to continue and then in odin select AP slot and select your .tar.md5 firmware update you downloaded and wait for odin to finish scanning it after it's done scanning press start and wait until it's done and the phone reboots..
Before you even do any of this turn on developer options by going to Settings>About phone and tapping on the words "build number" about 7 to 10 times rapidly after it turns on press the back button and you'll see developer options on the list now go in there and turn on OEM unlock.. If you DON'T do this you can end up locked out of the phone after the update so do this before you do anything and I'm not kidding you can end up locked out of your own phone!! After the phone is updated put your APN information back in if you have to and you should also have the option to enable or disable WiFi calling and other stuff.
Wow .. I don't understand any of this .. lol you think I could get it done by someone ?

If you are in the USA you're either going to have to ask T-Mobile if they can do it for you or I do, do that type of stuff but unfortunately that's going to require you sending the phone.. But it's really not as hard as it seems it's actually really easy to do it just seems hard because of the amount of steps involved in it. I'm currently at work in Fort Benning in the Military and I will be home later tonight and I can try to walk you through it if you want but I suggest you download the firmware update now because it's about 2.5GB and if you have a slow connection and no WiFi it's going to take awhile to finish... I'll send a link for you so you can download it because you can't do it without it.. What is the firmware version you are currently on? Tap settings>About phone and tell me what it says under "Baseband version"..

Looks like you're already on the latest version so you can't update any further because you're on the very last update, and you should be able to to toggle WiFi calling on and off if you want.. If you're not able to do certain things it's probably because Verizon and T-Mobile use different bands and the phone is using bands set for Verizon and not T-Mobile... You probably should just go to T-Mobile and ask them to either see if they can set the the APN the right way or see why it's not doing what you want.
1) You're not going to flash the t-mobile firmware to this phone. That's not possible.
2) The n920v is bootloader locked. Flipping the OEM Unlock option is not going to change that. It's just there for looks.
3) You also won't get wifi/video calling on t-mobile using the verizon-only phone.
The only things you'll be able to get working with using t-mobile on the n920v is 2/3/4g and bands 2/4 of LTE.

[GUIDE] How to install android oreo beta. UK only.

Hi everyone,
I found a way to install the latest beta on Galaxy s8 in a few steps:
First of all you need to download the UK version of Android Nougat and Odin.
Download the firmware from here: drive.google.com/file/d/1c2AHqYbIFfVK0MVb6Kq1A1CoRsN5H19w/view
Odin: dl.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.12.7.zip
1. Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Power + Volume Down + Bixby buttons)
2.Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
3. Add the firmware file to AP / PDA and start it
After the install it`s complete you can register in beta program with Samsung Members app.
Open the Samsung Members app on the Galaxy S8 or , tapping the Register for Galaxy Beta Program option under the Notices section of the app’s Home tab, and then tapping the image promoting the Galaxy beta. After agreeing to the terms and conditions, you’ll see an option to enroll.
I am not responsable if you damage your phone.
Hi there,
Thanks for the guide. Quick question, does this work with just installing the Firmware/AP file and not the other CSC, bootloader files?
This would mean the phone would not need to be wiped since the CSC file is not flashed in the ODIN..
Cheers
PS: As there is no home button on the S8, I think you mean Vol up, Vol Dn & Pwr.
You need a uk sim

OP has no idea what he is talking about. Thread should be closed asap
1. misleading guide and lack of knowledge might cause problems to people who try flasing their galaxy s8... DON'T TRY IT
2. you MUST have an UK sim and an UK phone and be geographically into UK to do it.
3. the guide is copied from another phone thread since we don't have a HOME button
Guys the OP says nothing about home button just the home tab on samsung members tab...
Also this would be just for UK if I am not mistaken so I will change the title to UK only Other than that this guide is as straightforward as can be..In my opinion

You don't know very much about anything pertaining to the matter at hand. UK uses the OXM multi-CSC, you need to factory reset the phone with a UK sim to change the active CSC.
Probably you re right..but it worked without a sim card..
