Mine did the same thing. Try wiping it in recovery and then re-applying the update. That did the trick for me.
i had the same kind of problem and posted my solution here with the issue I had
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511709
wow....
Yeah,
go to the recovery screen (hold home key and hit power)
ALT-W
then after do that again and
ALT-S
Had the same problems. But it was caused by an app, so I deleted it off the SD through ubuntu. Everything is good now!

Yep I had the same issue, and my friend as well. This above post fixed the issue.
Mine was stuck too, just give it a few days.
Worked for me.
I had the same problem after a manual update.. seems so sluggish.
Wiped the phone and rebooted and it worked fine.

Hi, I got a HTC Magic and have the Fatal1ty ROM installed, today I performed a hard reset on it (home + return + power -> clear storage). Everything seemed to go fine, but now when I start the phone it first shows the HTC Magic screen, then goes to Hero screen as always, but here comes the problem, it will just loop the screen with Hero logo over and over again, I thought this was part of the hard reset at first, but after 10 minutes it was still doing this. I can still enter fastboot /Hboot so I guess it isn't bricked.
Anyone got an idea what I can do to fix this?
Do a logcat, or run ddms and check what goes wrong at boot...

Do a nandroid backup and try reflashing the hero ROM. While you are at it you may want to try Jacheroski...I found it much faster on my 32A magic.
How can I flash a new ROM now? Let's say the Jacheroski ROM.
Would downloading it, changing it's name to Update.zip and then following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=537365 from step 7 work?
Appriciate the help guys

First download : http://www.4shared.com/zip/Uj3mr3gL/ICS_ROOT_RECOVERY.html
Just unpack , connect your phone and click run.but......good luck !
It doesn't work for me Is there another way to hard reset my phone ?
recovery from 4.0.3 has a bug on SLCD-screens: screen is too dark and appears black. the recovery is actually running, but you have to navigate blind. some reported that using a torch directed at the screen lets you see something...
dunno, i replaced stock-recovery with clockworkmod.
what i do know is you didn't search before posting...
True, i haven't searched as I should since I'm new with the Nexus S i9023 (before i had Galaxy S) but i was directed by google to xda forum, and since i had a username, and the topic was about my problem i thought it is ok to write here
Anyway, if that's so, when it is in recovery, and blackout, what should i do to hard reset it ? I mean, how many times should I press the volume down to pe on "hard reset" ?
According to this pic, two times. Then power as enter button. But I don't know what the confirmation screen looks like...

I always use cwm, never seen stock recovery.
With my Galaxy S I used cmw, but with this one I would like to use the stock recovery..
I will try to wipe it "blind" Hope it works. Tanks alot
P.S.: It doesn't work
Let me introduce myself. My name is Toni, I'm from Croatia.
We too have an IT forum, and they recommended me to go and ask for answers here...
Well, I have a Huawei U8650. It is rooted, and I installed a custom ROM.
Today, I installed a .zip file from the recovery, and when I went to "Reboot" (also from recovery), the phone stopped on the Huawei Logo (when trying to reboot).
I couldn't do anything, so I pulled the battery out, and in again. I pressed the Power button, but again, the boot stopped at Huawei Logo.
Then, I tried to get to the recovery menu. The combo- VOL UP + POWER is not working (when I try it, it gets me to the Logo).
However, I also tried this combo- VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER, but then the whole screen turns pink! WTF?
I don't know what to do, I'm desperate! I can't use my phone anymore!
Did I brick my phone? If not, what the f*ck did I do?
How can I solve my problem?
Thanks
Toni
Bricked phone
Try this:
Hold volume down while pressing and releasing the power button, wait till phone comes on to release volume down, let me know your results (should bring you to hboot)
Sorry, but that didn't help. Nothing happens.

i think there might be a chance that your phone has fastboot turned on since i was trying to get into recovery and couldnt because of the fastboot...i cant help you but i know this is what might be causing you not being able to get into recovery
So, I will be able to get it to work again??
What is the sign of bricking a phone? How does it look?

ive never bricked my phone but from what im reading is if you have fastboot on pull the battery and then try again hold volume and power at same time hold for a couple seconds then just release the power button while holding down the volume
Again nothing.
Just the logo.
ok last thing i can think of......Did you wipe everything when installing the rom...factory reset, cache partition, delvik cache...if so are you getting a white screen when loading.....sometimes when installing a new rom it can take almost 10 min for it to load.....i have an evo 4g and this can happen.....it could be just trying to load so give it at the most 10min to load everything....then let me know what id does
No, i didn't wipe a thing. I did not install a ROM. I installed an app, root manager. The install instructions didn't say anything about wiping data.
I left it at the logo for 30 minutes, because I went out. When I came back, the screen was showing the logo.
EDIT: but yes, when I installed my custom ROM, i wiped everything.

OK, I will register to the site.
I did it! All I did was rooting the phone.

Hey,
My Asus Tf300t has been working perfectly until I wanted to get into recovery mode (RCK) yesterday. It got stuck there and
I tried it another time and it didn't work. After that I let it go and just booted normally, but then it stayed at the "ASUS Inspiring inno.... etc." screen.
Now I can shut my device down by holding the power button, but I cant get it to cold boot or get into recovery options again, it just boots endlessly.
My device has been unlocked and working fine for months.
What can I do?
regards,
Pmobilee
make sure that you are hold the "volume down" button, and hope it puts you back to where you can boot into recovery. Does that tablet boot at all, or just a "bootloop"
Did you have a working recovery before this? Like have you booted your recovery before and know that it was working?

Yes, I have been into the recovery and know the procedure. And im afraid the boot goes as far as the asus logo.

Yes, recovery booted before. But this all started when I tried to boot recovery again, and it got stuck. Then this infitite boot occurred.

and when you tried to boot recovery again what method did you use? did you use the "reboot recovery" option in your recovery or ROM power menu?or did you do it manually?(hold vol- and power then press vol+)?

Hi all. I'm in the exact same situation. Didn't want to make a new thread though.
I rooted my TF300T a few months ago (Oct 2013), and it has been running fine on CyanogenMod 10.2. So I ran the CyanogenMod Update app (Settings > About Tablet > CyanogenMod Updates), then downloaded the LATEST nightly (dated yesterday: Dec 14, so 10.2...141213). I don't know if this is a factor, but I usually pull down the notification bar and tap the "Reboot and Install" option, but I accidentally cleared my notifications, so I went back into CyanogenMod Updates, tapped the installed button for the latest nightly, and tablet started rebooting.
However I cannot get past the boot screen. So recovery is not loading. I used TWRP last time I did this. I Can't turn the tablet off either, at least not until I plugged the USB from my PC to the tablet then tried long pressing the Power button and holding Volume Down. Before plugging USB in it would simply restart and sit on the boot screen again.
I have to leave the house for now, but will attempt to get into Recovery later tonight with same methods as above. Fingers crossed!
EDIT: I remembered, it was 10.2, not 10.1 I was running. So I shouldn't have had any issues going from 10.2 to a newer 10.2.
I'm back home now. I've tried again to get into Recovery, but cannot. I've got the tablet plugged into the PC with the USB, I'm holding Power and Volume Down, but nothing. Instead it seemly turns off, but comes back on and stays on the same boot screen (Asus. Inspiring Innovation, etc...).
And I can't figure out how I was able to turn the damn thing off before either. So I have to leave it on until the power drains. So that sucks!
Is it bricked?
Let's do this together. I recently tried to upgrade to 4.4 from 4.3 and I accidently erased my tablet by manually booting into twrp 2.5 and selecting the 3rd option which is wipe data...so we are in the same boat.

Damn, that sucks! Yes, battery has now drained, and yes, let's work this out together. What ROM were you using? Android 4.4 is not out on CyanogenMod for the TF300T, and I will probably stick to CM. But if I have to use something else to get this fixed, I'll do it.
Was any fix found for this? I am now experiencing the same problem after trying to reboot into recovery to upgrade Cyanogen. Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, and after a lot of support and help from the good guys on the Transformer Forums, I've declared this unfixable. If you had a NVIDIA backup, you'd be fine, but without that you're pretty much screwed, sorry to say.
Can you get into bootloader? If so you can do this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425581
And it should resolve ANY bad flash/wrong flash issues.
My mom has an xt926 and it had been acting up a little, so I decided to factory reset it for her, but when I went to recovery, I got the dead android, No problem, I figured I'd just SBF the latest VZW version (which she is on) to fix it, but the recovery is still dead. I've flashed the recovery by itself, SBF'd about 5 times and still no luck. Anyone know why I can't access the recovery?

I believe you need to hit the volume button in the middle to access it.
Mash the volume key a bit.
Simple enough. Literally just kept hitting the volume key until lit finally worked. I've been out of the stock recovery game for too long. Thanks.

Glad that was the problem! I don't remember exactly what you have to do, but mashing it has never done me wrong.
