I installed an application sometime before and after uninstalling and doing a soft rest, the application has been removed, but I still see the icon in Settings/System. How do I cleanup that.

Is there any way I can force my system tray closed in wm6? I installed Wireless Sync and the tray icon is driving me crazy. I like wireless sync but I just don't like that it installs an icon in my system tray! Any ideas?
are there any programs that can close the system tray?
The System Tray automatically appears as soon as any program puts an icon in there.
You will have to look at Wireless Sync to see if you can turn the icon off or contact the developer to include this option in future releases.
Or you can use the Sys Tray as a quick launch bar like I do.
Cheers

I like the idea of using the Sys Tray as a quick launch. Do you know how I can do that but use larger icons? I'd like to use it as a quick launch but not have to use the stylus and larger icons would be needed. Any ideas?
I use PHM TrayLaunch. But I don't think you can increase the size of the Sys Tray hight though. You will have to use some third party software that is a today screen pluggin to have larger icons. But then you will still be left with a Sys Tray taking up space.
dcinobar...
Dcinobar gets rid of the softkey bar not the sys tray bar. At least I don't know how to get dcinobar to get rid of the sys tray if it can.
I would really like to know if there is a way to get rid of the sys tray also. I don't want to use it as a quick launch bar as I already use the HTC home plugin and ultimate launcher for that and I like those better.
If anyone knows how to get rid of the sys tray I would be very appreciative for that information. Thanks.
Edit: I've checked Wireless Sync for an option to get rid of the icon it puts in the sys tray but did not find anything.
when i try to delete the programs i installed, it gives a dialog box saying "some of the programs could not be removed completely, continue to remove them from the programs list". this is for the .cab files and theme files i installed.
also is there any way to get back my old default att fuze clock back again??
I just started using the Peep app. It seems pretty good, so I put an icon for it on my home screen and removed it from the bar at the bottom.
Then I found it would no longer work. So I resorted it to the bar and it worked again... After some playing I found that if you removed Peep from the bar at the bottom you cant allocate it to a space on the home page, as it is no longer listed as a program.
Its as if it is only on the phone IF its locked to the bar. I assume there must be a way around this?
Hello,
Since when has facebook been integrated into the os system. I'm pretty sure its only since oreo 8.0.
I have a problem with a notification showing on my facebook, I have no new notifications and this will not go away. Its annoying
Went to uninstall facebook and messenger to find out it only rolls back the update to factory installed app. What the hell??
I don't want his on my phone, I want a clean uninstall and reinstall of the app.
Factory installed app is exactly that. It is held in a part of the memory that cannot be modified so the app is as pure as the day it was flashed. To remove it permanently means rooting the phone.
You can disable the app in settings/apps once it has been cleared to default.
Also you should be able to swipe the notification and permanently exclude them from showing. If not then go to settings - apps - Facebook and disable its permissions.
If the notification is one of those dots on the icon then the problem is with sense home. Clear its cache and it should be OK.
So I removed some apps from the phone using adb, but I did not remove iManager since I wanted to keep the Network Data in my status bar. When I next rebooted the Phone, iManager along the status bar display were gone. Is there any way to get it back?
You can always do a full reset.
