i have an image curraption of verzion touch pro2 cdma last update MR3 upgrade

i had bricked my touch pro2 verizon with a wrong gsm hspl tool and revived it with a riffbox installing a custom rom but when trying to get back to a stock rom or even when trying to make a hardreset my phone get into boot mode and blink with no image file for one second then back to the boot image again and stuck there. trying to flash a stock rom it freeze at 0% and then the error 226 flash write .
i though if i can get the ruu_signed.nbh for the last MR3 update i may get back the right image to the phone
i searched so long and found the right radio version which is 2.37wv and successfully flashed it to my mobile
can you please help me with nbh file? the exact rom name is
RUU_Rhodium_W_S2_VERIZON_WWE_4.01.605.15_RS_2.37.00WV_NV_VZW_2.08_0105_PRL58005_Ship.exe
and i can't get the nbh image out of that or may not have the right tools or instructions
waiting your help
UPDATE: i manged to get the nbh file but same error .. stuck at 0% then bring the flash write error 226
Just use winrar to extract the .nbh from the .exe. Just a note the stock .nbh includes the radio 2.37
yes i managed that but still can't flash the nbh file ... the same flash write error 226

firmware update question

I have a rooted stock Sensation. I have heard that to update to the latest firmware, I need to flash the stock recovery P58img file (or whatever it is called) and then revert back to the clockwork mod recovery. As we all know, trying to apply the firmware update with the clockwork mod recovery prevents the update from even attempting to install.
I downloaded the stock p58 file someone kindly provided me and tried the update, but it always freezes 1/3 of the way through the update and I have to pull the battery to restore it to normal.
Does anybody have an idea why this is happening? I read most of the update thread, but I didn't see the solution unless I missed it.

You haven't provided any real details.
PG58IMG.zip can be used to update a multitude of things on the phone, Recovery, Radio, Firmware.
Can I ask why you want to update the Firmware and what you expect to get out of the update ?
There is a thread on a cut down update (no HBOOT Update) from the latest RUU, is that what you're referring to ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385439
I have also read that installing the latest RUU (with the firmware update) changes the HBOOT which can affect how it's then used.
You need to ask for more in details

Sorry. so the pg58img I used was a stock recovery file. I had heard using that would allow me to install the update, but after flashing it during the installation of the update it failed.
I wanted to install the firmware because I had read that it improved system performance and reduced bugs.
I saw the update that you were referring to, but the thread mentioned how after updating there would be no visual changes or any indicators to let me know that the firmware had actually updated, and I didn't like that aspect of it.

[Q] about installing ROM when a Firmware flash is required

There's a couple ROMS I'd like to try that are requiring a FW flash (ARHD_ICS and Virtuous Inquisition).
My question is; once the firmware is updated can you re-flash older firmwares back to the device in the event I want to try something different?
yes you can revert back to an older firmware if you wanted
Yes you can, but you have to do it all at once.
Since the ICS ROMs won't boot with old firmware, you need to put the PG58IMG.zip for the old firmware and the GB ROM you want to flash on your SD card at the same time.
Reboot to bootloader, let it flash the firmware.
Turn the phone off and remove the SD card, then boot into recovery (if you do not remove SD you will get stuck in a firmware flashing loop) - then when you get into recovery, put the card back in and install the GB ROM.

Like they say you can flash older RUUs but make sure you match it up with corresponding ROM

OTA with stock ROM but older radio

Quick question if anyone knows the answer. I'm running stock VRBLK3 ROM, but loaded older VRLG7 radio via Oden. If a new OTA comes down, what would happen? Would it bail out since radio isn't correct rev? Or is radio fully flashed each OTA so it doesn't matter? Or could something bad happen?
it should be fine as I flashed a blk3 based custom ROM but had the radio from the previous ota( the last from ice cream sandwich). It worked fine but I still flashed the latest radio.
My question was not if radio and ROM have to match. Instead I was asking if I can accept a new future OTA if my ROM is stock/latest, but my radio is down rev?

No as it will flash the latest radio as well.
Ok, well just as long as nothing bad happens I'm ok with it.
