German T9 SIP? - General Topics

Hi,
anyone knows a SIP for WinMobile 6.0 providing German T9, or plain character input? Mio's sucks - I can't configure the delay between key presses, it always eats keypresses.
It's not HW fault, though - dialling numbers works even in high typing speed.
Thanks,
Marco

phopepad come with many different language supported when I can find it in danish surely it support german too

uh.. phonepad is great, though it has one extremely important feature missing: i can't use the hardware 0-9,*# keys do you know of any hack for it to support HW input?

sorry I only use it as soft keyboard when i slide out my keyboard
I only use that as input and just hope people forgive my spelling

no handwriting

was just going around though the apps of my polaris and i found out i got no handwriting recognition on the keyboard settings :S
the "keyboards" available to me are the touch keyboard and the normal keyboard but no handwriting option available, do i have to Download it or something? if so, where can i find it?
best regards to all
Microsoft thinks that some languages aren't supported and thus they remove that feature.
I used this for my Swedish phone:
http://www.smartmobile.se/files/Qtek 9100/enableRecognizersSVE.CAB
Not sure if it works for any language, but I guess it should. Just remember to turn on accented characters, so you get the non-English letters as well
do a search on transcriber cab file
ok, i got the enable recognizers thingy, i can select it but nothing happens, i'm kinda new to this pda thing, but wasn't handwriting recongniton a "major" feature of pda's? i'm trying to use it on portuguese atm...

Best English Input Method Needed (i780)

Hi there,
I am new to Samsung i780, what is the best English input method on it? Some intellegent input method can try to derive the word by what you have entered. For example, if you have inputted "inp", it will prompt something like "input". Where can I find them? Better it is free
Thanks a lot!
Hi. For me, the best input method so far, is Cootek Touchpal. As you have mentioned, it predicts what you're trying to type, making corrections and adding words to dictionary extremely easy, no switching layouts if trying to enter anything not on the main keyboard, it even tries to predict the next word you might want to use, and many many more features. But it's not free. But not expensive either.
If really looking for free, check out HTC Easy Input, available on this website...
If you want querty layout with individual keys, then you also might want to check out pcm keyboard (free, google it), or (not free) SPB keyboard or resco keyboard.
Hope this helps.

Hi Damac,
Thank you for so detail introduction!
If my phone(i780) has a real qwerty keyborad already, which input method might fit best?

BenQ E72 Additional Languages

Hello,
Apologies beforehand if this is not in the correct place.
Being a new owner of the BenQ E72, I am trying to adapt the phone to my native language (Greek). The phone features Windows Mobile 6 Standard and supports the Greek language in terms of regional settings; however, it's not possible to type in Greek either via the numeric pad or T9 (absent).
After browsing these forums (and a lot Google-ing), I've collected some T9 Greek components in order to try to add the Greek language to it. Careful examination of the registry does not provide any clues about the existance of xT9, so I assume that the phone features the "standard" T9 (the 'old' one).
The problem is that even if the Greek T9 is recognized, it does not work on all applications, particularly the Messaging application (SMS). When the Greek T9 IME is selected, I cannot enter any words and the phone just beeps. The rest of the system correctly recognizes the Greek T9 IME and I can use it (e.g creating a new task, typing in Greek using T9 is possible).
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Many thanks in advance.
No ideas about this?

Default input language

Hello. I've searched all over but could not find the right answer.
I installed Chinese language support (don't remember where I got it) to read and write/type in Chinese. While that's awesome, the default input is always Chinese (pinyin). I lived with it for a while, but it's really annoying. Every time I press a key on the keyboard or on the on-screen-keyboard, it thinks I'm trying to write something in pinyin. I have to slide open the physical keyboard and press control+space to switch to English. I have to control+space again to type English in the next text field.
I know someone will ask this, but no, changing input methods doesn't fix the problem.
My question: How do I make the default input language English?
Or maybe I should ask: Can someone recommend me a free software package to allow me to read and write Chinese that doesn't have this problem?
T-Mobile Touch Pro2 Rhodium
WinMo 6.5 (same issue in WM6.1)
Thanks for the help that is hopefully to come!

[Updated 15/4/2010][Samsung-i600] Russian input [problem partially solved but still.]

Hey everyone. I've got a Samsung I600 but its USB port seems not working now...
The ROM is WM6.1 OS and preinstalled with a Chinese input software (But not T9, I don't see any T9 in this ROM..)
THE THING IS, that I need to type in Russian alphabets, so is there any kind of input software for QWERTY keyboard to type in Russian alphabets?
I searched for the forum but only found Russian input softwares for touch-screen devices. Such as Resco or FingerKey etc. etc.
If necessary, I'd rather delete the original Chinese input software for the privilege of typing in Russian....
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
=================================
Update a bit,
I renamed the folder of Chinese IME and successfully blocked it (It's in some way just like a cockroach for me...). And I installed the T9 Russian input to my i600 device successfully.

But the question is, that the T9 that I installed is for Numpad phones, i.e. the keyboard layout is completely out of control! And to type in Russian I can only use num keys instead of qwerty-йцукен keyboard.
I wanna solve the problem cos it also affects my English input. that is to say, if I switch to ABC mode, Q=Q,W=W, but T=а\б\в, U=г\д\е etc. etc.
I checked the document below but was baffled, cos it's for German and the keyboard is completely different, I can't find where to put Б and Ю on my i600 keyboard...

SO...I STILL NEED HELP..
Maybe a specially designed T9 for qwerty keyboard will work or, I want to know how to redefine i600's keyboard layout.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

But I've got no T9 in my ROM.... so this won't work.
I'm just wondering if there is any kind of software, for example that creates a virtual keyboard for Cyrillic alphabets or something like that...?
BTW How to say 'Input software' in Russian? I looked for it in the dic but no clues...
