Hi all,
I've got a HTC Touch HD (Blackstone) running WinMo 6.1 (ROM from Dutty v3)
The problem i have is incompatibility with my bluetooth car kit (Nissan Qashqai).
From all kind of fora on the internet i've found the probel is really related to the MS BT stack in WinMo 6.1 (and 6.5 also, i've tested this with a custom ROM lately). As far as it seems right now 6.0 and 5.x doesn't have these problems. So now the question is is is possible to downgrade or repalce the normal/standard BT stack in WinMo 6.1 with the one of WinMo 6.0 or even 5.x Also a non microsoft stack might solve this issue.
Anyboday any idea?
Thanks! Jeroen

Hello,
Is it possible to extract the new AKU 3 AD2P drivers from any new device and use them on tornado? the new imate universal ROM for example?
I was thinking about the same thing... Does anybody thinks it's possible?
a2dp drivers
I wonder where the current ones are from (from the 'tornado hack')?
Buehler??? Buehler???
hack the htc oops! did i say that
come on someone from htc post this beta rom you guys that work for htc know this is positive!!
How about the ones from Crossbow (WM6)?
Does anyone know if the A2DP support improved (particularly support for itech headsets, which sound terrible with the A2DP_Tornado hack).
Is there anyway to pull IE from WM6.1 standard (smartphone) to run on a WM6 or WM5 standard device? Similar to how ppl have pulled office 6.1 to run on wm5?
Thanks
So you are asking for the smartphone version for your professional device, correct?
No. I have a WM 6 standard device.
WM 6.1 standard is already out, and it has a newer version of IE mobile.
Is it possible to get the IE from WM 6.1 standard to run on WM 6 standard (or even WM 5 standard/smartphone).
We're all in standard/smartphone version right now.
I assume something similar can be done for the pro/touch screen devices as well, but I'm not asking about that.
Thanks
PS. I'm well aware that other browsers exist, such as opera. I'm specifically curious about getting the latest IE on older devices, similar to how we can run new mobile office apps on older devices.
Hi,
I have found this cab one : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H67GUDE0

Hi, I was surprised today as I found this forum (never heard about WM6.5, especially for (old) HTC Wizard). I'm curious about how do you get WM6.5? I don't think M$ give WM6.5 ROM for free.
I think all WM6.5-Roms here are Beta-versions, right? If so... is there any restrictions? Or can I use WM6.5 on my device like if it's a "fullversion" (SMS, eMail, ActiveSync, Internet...)?
I don't want to start a debate about legal-rights, just as I said I'm curious about it.

Non of the wm 6.5 rom are official and there never will be an official. M$ official release of wm 6.5 will be in october. According to M$ the WM 6.5 is only a skin change of 6.1 and will be an lite version of windows mobile 7 for low end devices and WM 7 for high end. If you want WM 6.5 you can find one in the Windows 6 section under wizard but non official
Thank you.
3 questions really...
I'm trying to get the apple wireless keyboard to work on my Toshiba G810 runnning WM6.5, without installing teksoft blueinput. Many cases have been successful in the past but seemingly only on WM6.0. WM6.1 and 6.5 somehow doesn't work.
I'm wondering if, for me, it's because of my particular bluetooth stack. It does have built-in HID, but without teksoft blueinput it doesn't work (which makes me wonder what is missing in the WM6.1-6.5 stack that blueinput adds, but is also present in WM6.0)
Question 1: how do I find out what type of stack I have
Question 2: How does one go about porting a stack from one device to another. Is it as simple as dumping the rom, replacing the files, then re-building the rom? If so then I already know how to dump and re-build so all I need are the files. I suspect there's more work than that though.
Question 3: Can one install the WM6.0 stack onto the 6.1-6.5 ROMs? It seems that the 6.0 stack has all the functionalities of 6.1-6.5 and also works better for my purposes.
haven't seen any htc devices which used other bluetooth stacks then ms's default one since wm5 came out
if the interface don't look different it's ms stack
Hello,
did anyone successfully install a different bluetooth stack on a cotulla rom ?
i tried bluesoleil (but i only have a pretty old version). i also tried the toshiba stack (also pretty old version, build for 2003).
both work fine on 2003SE - but none of them work on cotulla rom.
anyone successfully did this ? or what about widcomm/broadcom ? what's so special about the magician bluetooth - i've never seen a widcomm version for magician - but for almost every other HTC device.
(i need a better stack than MS - since MS does not support BT LAN access, neither PAN (client))
In reality it's not easy to change BT Stack on Windows Mobile device...
Now my roms are using MS BT Stack...
I have some research and maybe some future versions will have BroadComm stack...but not sure...
Hello Cotulla,
nice to see you're answering about the bluetooth issue ;-)
broadcomm/widcomm stack would be great off course!
... in the meanwhile: as far i know, no broadcomm exists for magician - not even for the old ROMs - i never understood why (different BT hardware i guess ?).
but
- toshiba and
- bluesoleil exists for the old ROMs
they work - if you disable the microsoft drivers (cause it's not possible that both drivers use the same hardware - i guess).
bluesoleil: comes with a tool to disable the MS stack.
toshiba: you have to do it manually by taking off bticon.dll from HKLM/services.
so i have a question:
"taking off bticon.dll" from HKLM/services" is for 2003SE -> what is to do in WM6 to disable the MS-stack ?
maybe the toshiba/bluesoleil would even work ? did anybody tried before ?
or is this bull**** ? i heard of different "driver-models" between CE 3/4 and CE 5 - so is it even possible to use drivers from CE 3/4 on CE 5 ? i don't know! but i'm sure, you know ! ;-)
thank you cotulla for your great work! i'm wondering how you managed to get that much knowledge about this device! great!
