ok ive been looking around and im not sure wut to do and i dont want to brick my phone. me and my brother, mostly my bro, flashed and put a rom on my phone today. i saw a few other roms i wanted to try and i want to install a different rom, can someone point me in the right direction for this?thanks!
Your answer is on the sticky. Do a look around or search.
Try it Bro, then judge it, several of us had different taste
There are 3 type of ROM, basic advance WM6.1, Manila ROM and then the latest WM6.5, so much choices
At Xda, each and every ROM has its own value so pic the better one which you like.
Hey Mod.. I think this thread has to be closed based on the few previous cases like this.

I'm looking for the best Rom for the AT&T Tilt. I love Dutty's Roms but I always have a problem with the keyboard after installing them. Also is there any way to boost the volume of the phone?

There is really no 'best rom' since its all about what you like. From the flashing I've done, all the xda chefs are unique and bring different styles to the tables...and they are all good at what they do! If you look in any of dutty's rom threads you'll find the answer to your keyboard issue btw.
Well, there are certainly many ROMs out there. I started out with the Dutty series as well and then went to XDA Live 2.0 which was fantastic. I then decided to try and cook my own ROM (just released a few minutes ago) and now i use that. As for the phone volume, look into SRS WOW HD.
I am sorry to tell you this but your question does not have a definitive answer. In other words, to each his own. The best advice I can give you is to read the first couple of posts for each rom thread. If it appeals to you, read more to see if there are any bugs that might pertain to you. If not, then flash it. Once you set the phone up and you decide that you do not like it, try another one until you find one that suits you. I have an AT$T Tilt and I have literally flashed every single rom thats released. Seriously, every one of them.
Welcome to XDA and rom flashers anonymous.

Sorry.. truly sorry for asking such a dumb question. I have found and will use the NEWB flashing guide, but even there it doesn't suggest which ROM to use.
Jade? Maybe?
I have a ATT branded Tilt, latest crappy ATT 6.1 build and am ready for all of the improvements.
Since there are so many different ROMs of different flavors, it honestly is hard to tell which one to use in general.
Can someone make a good suggestion? I even saw off one of the linked site for the ROM images, one for the new touch HD?
Hoping for ease of use, speed, and better radio reception.
Thanks.. and again sorry for the newbie question

Hello all,
What I would like to see is who likes what 6.1 ROM and why?
I am getting a lil frusterated with all the 6.5 rom flashing and the lil issue here, or lil issue there... and before a fix is found we are off to another 6.5 rom... which in itself just brings a different lil bug... lol
So I am thinking I will go back to a 6.1 rom...
I see Shifu is still cooking them, and Abu has stopped with his final version...
Which do you like better and why?
Also have I missed a stable one by someone else I should look at?
Seriously??
I believe that is a matter of preference... most of us here have tried all, and like all for different reasons, and pick one that suits us best and we trick iit out to be what we wont as well.
Besides... I think opening a new thread in the dev forum for this question is a bit risky. Try them and decide for yourself.
You should really try them for yourself and decide. An unintended consequence of this in the past has been us losing chefs because folks get really critical.
I agree. This is a personal issue. There have been threads like this before and they have been closed quickly. I would say try them out each for a few days and make your own choice. TPC, Abz, Shifu, Phoenix, Anryl, They are all good.
REALLY!! Dude... c'mon!
I am asking a valid question about ROM's in the ROM thread!
I have tried all the ROMs I mentioned, I have been flashing since my days with my Hermes, I know what I like, but might not even know of something better, newer, or different unless I ask!
So Tut instead of trying to run up your post count, why don't you try to answer my question, and post what 6.1 ROM you use or have used and why you liked it?
Don't mean to sound like a prick, but I really would like others opinions and experiences. So what 6.1 ROM have you used?
Ahh SH!t fine!!
Someone close the post please!!
Evidently I can't try to learn from others in a simple request of what someone likes... I have to read through all the threads and deciper from all the issues, which one had the least only to decide then what I already know and thats what works or dosen't rather then possibly learning from others postive experiences and having them post here something like...
Hey I use <blank> and have had much success with it because <blank> and it have <blank features> that I really like.
So anyways... close it someone, cause I am asking to much I guess.
Closing as requested
Hi guys, I wana ask you about synchronization htc touch pro (raphael) on winodws vista. How can i synchronizate it vit the usb? i search at this forum a lot of post, but i didn't find enywhere. So please help me guys i want to change my rom to 6.5 . That's why i need this lession.
You mention you want to sync and then at the end of your sentence, it seems more likely that you are also looking to upgrade/flash. The question now is, do you want to save anything that is currently on your phone or would you rather upgrade to a 6.5 winmo ROM and start over?

No i dont wana to save all my files . I wana have a real windows mobile 6.5 on my htc touch pro (raphael)
So then you want to flash or upgrade your device. Do you care if you flash a stock or a custom ROM? Before you consider, read THIS. Keep in mind, that site isn't a "bad read", just might seem like the person might be a tad upset at at&t
I would suggest a few threads for reading before you even consider flashing.
THIS thread has a collection of other threads that are helpful/useful. I would consider starting HERE for flashing a GSM device and HERE for CDMA. If you find it is too much to read, I can try to walk you through the steps but no idea as to when I will have the time to actually do that. The wiki that everyone is referring to may have been changed in some cases. THIS is the working link to date. Additionally, if you choose to flash a custom ROM you will need to HARD-SPL your device BEFORE YOU FLASH! Supposedly you can flash stock ROMs all day long and worry less. To me, the major difference between a stock and a custom ROM is over-all behavior. Stock ROMs are more straight forward and custom ROMs can be difficult to manage if you don't know what you are doing. It's quite a shock to most new to the custom ROM deal but if you think you are ready for it, I would suggest using the ROM in my sig/signature. Again, to me, this ROM represents the latest winmo enhancements to-date, even though winmo is becoming an obsolete OS, slowly but surely
One additional peice of advice to you my friend. If you find yourself confused by all of this, you can return to this thread and I'll try my best to explain things to you. All we ask is if your question pertains to something that the thread answers, please try to stay with-in that thread. To me, searching is an art, if you type in jibberish, it is likely that your results will turn up nothing useful but in order to get better at it, you have to try it out for yourself! With that, I hope you enjoy your device and the awesome members of XDA!
n-Joie! (Enjoy)

Since you're new here, you probably aren't aware that "best rom"/"favorite rom" threads are frowned upon here. They're viewed as disrespectful to the devs, and they frequently lead to unnecessary drama.
The best answer is to head over to the development forum and start trying things out yourself. Everyone's needs and impressions are different. I could tell you what works for me, but that isn't necessarily going to work for you.
All the resources are compiled in a sticky at the top of the forum. Your best bet is to start there.
I recently installed CM10 and I love it. My battery life has gotten significantly better since installing it too.
I'm probably going to try Clean Rom 5.1 soon enough.
