I know there is now a bluetooth profile for stereo headphones, but is there something in the works for transferring files (pictures, ringtones, etc) through bluetooth?
Firmware 1.5 does not support P2P bluetooth API for files transfer, it only for stereo headset. Waiting ...

I got a bluetooth stereo headphones that I use with A2DP enabled bluetooth dongle on my PC to listen to music wirelessly and watch movies in silence. I also use bluetooth ActiveSync with the same bluetooth dongle. Dongle uses Toshiba stack for windows.
Problem is when I am listening to music from my PC thru A2DP profile and then connect my Treo 750 for ActiveSync, the sound comes thru my headset not in smooth manner anymore. It breaks and delays sometimes. Maybe a port conflict. Is there any way I could get around it??
sounds more like bluetooth cant provide enough bandwidth
maybe a bluetooth v2.0 dongle could cope
Can I play music on my Zune through my Bluetooth?? Anybody got a clue thanks
Zune hardware devices don't have BlueTooth radios, so no. I assume you mean playing music stored on your Windows phone.
You'll need to be more specific than "my Bluetooth" as there are many, many Bluetooth devices, and most of them only support a few profiles. For example, Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth-enabled cars will usually support the Headset profile, which WP7 will use for calls and voice commands/text dictation, but will not use for music playback. If that's what you have, then no.
However, there are also Bluetooth headphones, speaker docks, and some cars that have support for a Bluetooth Audio profile (properly, A2DP), which Windows Phone 7 can use to stream music playback.
yes you can.
The bluetooth in these devices are just basic bluetooth setups. They show up in the bluetooth device list as just something to connect and transfer files. Car bluetooth or bluetooth speakers, on the other hand, show up as a media device which can stream music. Is there any way to make these devices show up as a media device so that it can stream music from connected bluetooth devices, like your phone?
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to have a media player/streaming app controlled with HSP but output music to A2DP? Some cars only support HSP for voice calls but do have USB media ports and 3.5mm jacks to play music. The only way to have good quality Bluetooth music (Not through HSP) is to use the media functions on the phone not the steering wheel, so having an app that does this would make life so much easier.
