Hey, everyone,
We all know there's "Ring Once", "Vibrate and Ring", and "Vibrate then Ring". However, I'd like to know how'd I'd go about making a "Vibrate then Ring Once" notification. If anyone can help, it'd be SO F&^%in' gr8ly appreciated. Btw, does the following have anything to do w/ it? ...
"If you would like more control over how your device rings/vibrates/flashes its LEDs on events, you can can change the Script values of these events. For example, for an incoming call performing 'activate device, play ringtone, wait 3 seconds, repeat':
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Script = "apw3r" (REG_SZ string, no quotes)
For performing 'active device, set volume to 33%, play ringtone, set volume to 67%, play ringtone, set volume to 100%, play ringtone (no repeat)':
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Script = "ac33pc67pc100p" (REG_SZ string, no quotes)
The following are the full codes available to you. Please note that all the codes are executed simultaneously except after a ringtone play / wait code. E.g. 'v1p' will vibrate and play at the same time, while vibrating for 1 second. But 'pv1' will play the ringtone through all the way first, then start vibrating for 1 second.
a = activate device
cN = set volume to N in percentage max volume
fN = flash notification LED for N seconds
p = play ringtone. Note that this will play the ringtone all the way through before continuing with the next code.
r = repeat. Note that this should be the last code in your Script string, if used at all.
vN = vibrate for N seconds
wN = wait for N seconds. Note that the device will wait this long before continuing with the next code."
Yes that list is the way to configure to your needs
'K, gr8! Can you, or anyone else show me what "Vibrate then Ring Once" would be without any alterations to the volume? I'd rather adjust the volume with the volume buttons or sliders as I have been.
::bump::
Anyone? It's REALLY important to me, 'cause I've made my ringer an audio clip from I <3 Huckabee's... "Have you ever transcended space and time?"/"Yes. No. Time, not space. No, I don't know what you're talkin' about." LMFAO

Hi folks
being a happy Treo-user, one of the things which I find not good is that when the speaker volume (phone) is set to more than 2nd (or more) bar of the volume bar, because I set the volume in that way during the last call, the next time when dialing, the dial tone "dial-beep" is extremely loud so I need to take the phone away...
There are so many experts here, Is there maybe a reg-hack workaround?
Fire000,
Not sure what your problem is here, can you describe exactly what you're doing & what gives you a problem?
Angus
ok, sorry for my english, its just one of my another 4 languages (most weak) :-(
step describtion:
- type in search contact
- press middle joystick or green "send" button to select and call....
- phone app starts to dial the number....
- classical dialing tone appears
----> if the phone volume is set to the lowest level, its everything fine
--------> if phone volume is set to the middle or higher level, I get the feeling that my ear is going to explode....the dialing tone is extremely loud and I need to press the volume button and decrease the phone volume.
I know, one can pay attention and check the volume before he starts to dial...or during the dial just go down with volume, but its again annoying, consdering that with another device you don't have this problems, as those dialing volume is dynamical and always acceptable auto-adjusted..
I wake up today feeling like sharing
setVol is a really simple app to lock the HD2 volume.
As far as I know, there is no quick/simple way to lock the Volume buttons while the phone is off (screen off), so I wrote this simple tool to "lock" the volume.
It runs every minute (doesn't matter the powerstate of the phone) using "CeSetUserNotificationEx" API.
When it runs it does the following.
1. Gets the current volume
2. Gets the "stored/desired volume" from the registry (HKCU\SetVol\CurVol)
3. Checks if the phone is "on"
4. If the current volume is different than the stored one, and the phone is "On" it vibrates to let you know that the "desired" volume has been stored, and updates the registry.
If the volume is different, but the phone is in any other powerstate (screen off, etc) it set the volume to the stored one.
So in theory, you won't be able to "accidentally" change the volume when the screen is off.
The setVol.exe must be installed in "\Program Files\setVol\" directory. No cab, just an .exe.
To "uninstall" just delete the whole directory
Very strange to see no comments here at all... no one used it yet?
I definitely have this problem on my HD2! the volume buttons are not locked when the screen is locked/off, and that makes it go into silent when i want it loud, and goes into loud when i am in a meeting!
will try this on now! thanks for sharing!
I wrote that one in a couple of hours (right, minutes, but that sounds too quick ) so don't expect it to be utterly brilliant, but at it does the job I wanted, it keeps the volume where I want.
I use S2U2 and don't have that problem.
I have an difficulty with my ringtone on my Android 2.2.1 on no-name Chinese hardware
Whenever I put it into silent mode (for example from the lock screen (stock Android lock screen), it nicely goes silent, and shows the appropriate vibrate notification icon.
But if I undo that, even though the volume settings go to max again and the vibrate notification goes away, I still get no sound when someone calls. In fact, if I press volume up, I see a warning that "Silent ringtone selected" as subtext to the volume slider.
I have to go to my audio file and hard set it as ringtone again to get it to make a sound again while ringing.
Anyone recognizes this issue and knows how this is caused, and/or how I can prevent it?
I realize it may be some script or config file the Chinese messed up, so some hints as to what script or config file for this may help me also.
PS: I did search the net and XDA for "silent ringtone" but to no avail
hey guys.
can someone help me with this? :
If I want to adjust the in call volume during a call, it happens nothing. The other 2 volumes (system and ringer) can be adjusted without any problem. But if I press the up/down with volume keys during a call, the volume's window pops up and goes to max or min,but nothing happens in sound's much.
u have no idea which file/files are related to adjust in call volume?
(n I don't mean snd_soc_msm_2x from system/ect. It's a lib file I think).
any idea? or can u introduce me a guy who knows which file/files is that?
I know this may be trivial to some bit I rally like that key press tone, but when though I set it to max in the settings of both my phone and the app, is very silent, anyone has an idea why?
