Hi all,
While I have seen some preexisting posts on this subject, have not found a solution.
I am not using TouchFLO 3D even though it is still installed. When I have some unread messages, the today screen shows the number of unread messages but no messages show up in the built-in messages application. When I enable TouchFLO again and open the messages, now I do see the messages! How do I fix this. TouchFLO is useless for me, but I cannot see messages without it!
Thanks
have the same prob.

Hi,
I love the way my 750 displays my text messages in a conversation like manor as opposed to individual messages.
Ive recently got a HTC TyTN II and would like the same facility on there, is this available to download anywhere?
Thanks.

Hi there,
I have had a couple of WinMo devices and like to keep all my text messages.
Everytime I do a hard reset or get another phone, I make a backup with SMSBackup and restore them using this program too.
The problem is that the older messages aren't shown by windows in the thread mode (also not in fe. PocketCMContacts).
These messages come from a winMo 5 device...
I can see the messages when I disable the thread mode, but I find the thread option better and would like to use it.
Does anyone know what I could do to make these messages show in thread?
Is there a conversion needed?
thanks in advance
Maybe this guide will help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420564 ??
It's for PIM Backup but it might be the same root problem with WM Threaded SMS's.
Thanks
Dave
Thanks for the info. Have just tried this, but now the messages show in thread (not all of them, the ones from windows mobile 5 are in the bottom seperately...) but can't view them.
If I select a message, I just get a blank screen with the date and time of the message, but the messages aren't displayed.
If I use fe. Vito SMS Chat, I can see all the messages and they are set to the correct person, but the default windows message program and pocketcm apparently don't recognize them..
Annoying, so if anyone else has had the same problem and has it resolved...
greetz
I tried SMS-Chat and Resco Contact Manager's message function. Resco is brilliant. It's scrolling is amazingly smooth, and it's very functional. Except one thing, if we have to reply to a message, we have to do it the old fashioned way i.e. through the default windows message window. Whereas in SMS Chat, it's like an IM window, with the reply box right there with the messages.
But VITO SMS-Chat's scrolling is not so good, and also, I cannot save a new contact through it (it requires FUNContact to be installed).
Which Message client do you guys use and which other are my options?
Bumping. What do you guys use? Also, how is the inbuilt message app in WM6.5?
Hi guys, please help.
Over the past few days, I have been unable to reply to emails and text messages by clicking on the REPLY buttons. In Outlook email, when I click to reply to a message, it takes meback to the message preview view, where you cant reply.
When I try to reply to a text message by clicking on Reply, it takes me to the messaging window where i am asked to select between SMS/MMS, Outlook Email, and Setup Email. If I click on SMS and am taken to the SMS inbox, clicking on Reply from within there doesnt work either. Clicking on Menu--> Reply, or Menu --> Reply all yields no discernible change from the screen, and no reply.
I am on a Rhodium and running |R|6.5.5|ROM|WWE| ★ Energy "Leo" 23541/21892 |Feb 26| ★ Sense 2.5.2012 / MaxManila ★ , which has been awesome so far.
Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on? Thanks so much!
Mine is doing this too, on a stock ROM.
Hi,
Mine is doning this same thing. I swapped out my sim card into an iphone for about a month, but now I'm back to the Tilt2. My symptoms are just like yours. Did you ever find a fix?
I hate the Android system of messaging just bcoz I cannot keep track of messages recieved, sent, drafts.
I need some app with the classic views having an Inbox, Outbox, Drafts. The only such app I know is SMS Manager. But the issue with it is it doesnt show the whole msg when its a long one.
Plz help.
Check out Handcent SMS and, whilst you are at it, the gmail small sync SMSBackup+
Not sure if they are what you are looking for but, at risk of teaching you to suck eggs, thought I should mention them.

Chech this one:

I tried Handcent but it still provides only a threaded view, not the classic view with Inbox/Outbox. I noticed that it breaks down a long msg into a couple or triple of bubbles, which sucks !
Abt the link provided above, I have the same app (as I mentioned in my intro post), which is the only app having Inbox/Outbox, but doesnt display the whole msg, in case of long ones. Now, on 2.1, its giving me a forced stopped error on opening the Inbox, hence turned useless.
The splitting of SMS bubbles in Handcent is odd. I don't see that in received messages. In sent message settings the are two options which might be responsible :split messages and convert to mms. Check those out.
Regarding inbox/outbox view: there is a separate view for undelivered messages : goto main (middle button) settings and look under "more". Probably not what you're looking for although I noticed you did not type inbox/sent.
I know it's not the same as folders with counts of unread.
Good luck with your hunt.

The handcent message bubble splitting issue is wierd, I have not faced it as of yet, been using it for over a month with no issues of that sort
