Powering on without a battery?

Is there any possible way I can power on my Universal without a battery? Please help I need to do this very badly. Thanks for the help.
If you are near pc, you can just take battery off and plug it in pc using usb.
Works for my Kaiser : )
With battery removed Universal will not stay on even for a second. Without battery only orange light turns on but the device remains shutdown if the cable is connected.
On my Prophet at least, if you plug it in, with the battery, and then start up the device, you can remove the battery and have it running off the Mains...
Universal cannot be tricked that way. It turns off, orange light on, when battery removed after connecting cable. Waiting...........

Power Saving Mode

So I noticed when I went to go use one of my apps that uses GPS the other day it said the phone had to come out of power saving mode to turn on the GPS, so I did that. Now I can't seem to find where to enable and disable Power Saving. I am not talking about the Extreme Power Saving feature that we don't have yet, just the normal power saving feature.
Can we toggle it without being rooted?

What you saw was not the same power saving mode. It is a power saving feature built into our phones for GPS. Go to Google Settings, Location, and where it says Mode, that is where the change is. I currently have mine at battery saving unless I need step by step directions.
Did you have the power save tweak and then took the OTA? If so, it's still running but you can't access it until you do the tweak again.
Had the same thing.

OPO Dead - No Qualcomm Debug -no fastboot - any suggestions?

Hey everybody. Maybe someone here has another idea.
I had a small mountainbike accident today with the Oneplus One in my sidepocket. (Bike is broken, I am well fyi). Although there is no visible damage, the phone won't turn on since then. Battery is definitively charged but I get no reaction. The suggested "power circle", 5x 20sec on the power button, did not help and I can't either get to fastboot nor to the qualcomm "debug" mode (vol+ / power). It won't even show of as a device in the system manager in Win 7. Only sign of life that I am getting is the the camera led. When I keep pressing the powerbutton, every 10secs the led goes on and fades off. Same thing when I unplug and replug the battery - Camera LED goes on, stays on a few seconds, fades off.
I already "replugged" the battery but right now I am out of ideas. I am pretty sure it's not software related but before you ask it's stock rooted 4.4 / CM11s with no further modifications to the kernel or ROM.
Anyone has seen this "LED" thing before or has a hint what else I could check? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

[Q] Sensation 4G won't power up unless I remove and reset battery

I have an odd problem and I don't want to re-flash my ROM until I figure out what it is. Whenever I power down the phone, I can't power it back up again unless I remove the battery for a few seconds and put it back in.
When I press the Power button after powering down (and leaving the phone "dead" for a few minutes), it won't turn back on. If I press and hold the Power button, the soft touch buttons at the bottom (home, menu, back, search) will start flashing. If I try to power up from power off state after the phone has been charging overnight, nothing will happen. The battery in/out trick clears it allows it to power up normally. Other than this the phone seems to work fine.
DETAILS:
Phone: Sensation 4G TMO version
ROM: ViperS C2 5.3.0 (De-sensed)
S-OFF (Juponutbear trick)
Latest 4EXT recovery.
Any thoughts what could cause this? I was running CM11 but decided to go back to ViperS because of battery life. This just started happening with my most recent flash effort. (I do a full wipe each time and install the updated WiFi package thing.)

go to settings and untick fastboot
Thanks! That seems to have done it. Fastboot was OK on other ROMs. Wonder why not this one?

Power button broken. Turn on device

Hello.
My power button is broken. The only way I know to turn the phone on is removing the battery and connecting it quickly. I could get into the stock recovery pressing vol + and connecting to the charger but I need the power button to select any option, I installed TWRP recovery but I cannot use it, the button combination is different to get into (vol + & power button).
Is there any other way to turn on or use recovery when the phone is off?
Thanks
Fastbooting it from the computer is a solution..
Fastboot is disabled in android marshmallow. Now, how can we boot the phone ?
One last resort option is to send it to Alcatel. I had issues with my power button failing and they resolved it. (FTR I was still under warranty)
I had this problem. Eventually found a video for it on YouTube. I couldn't return my phone to Alcatel as I had dropped it in the toilet ? and then taken it apart to dry it out.
If its still under warranty I would return it to Alcatel. If not then the way to turn it on is a bit of a pain at first but quite easy when you've done it a few times. You do have to take the back off your phone.
If you are happy there is a reasonable amount of charge already in it then plug it in to a charger whilst holding the volume up button (or down button I forget which!) This should start the phone in the recovery mode.
Then unplug the phone.
Then very quickly disconnect and reconnect the battery.
Phone will turn on.
Put phone back together.
Keep battery charged!
