[Q] LGL45C how to flash custom rom

Hello. i need quite a bit of help here. i have a android phone that has been bricked ( but is still able to boot into fastboot) and i have downloaded cyanogenmod. however, i do not quite understand how to flash it, and have not been able to find any answers.
heres what i have tried, so maybe you can point me down the right direction on what i should be doing:
tried flashing the whole zip file of cyanogenmod 7 by using the command :
fastboot update *pathtomycyanogenmod*.zip, however, this returned errors about not having productinfo.txt or androidinfo.txt.
so, the next thing i thought i could try is using the command "fastboot flash system * name of image file for this partition*.img , but there are no .img files for any of the partitions.
the guide i found to doing the above step^ said this:
fastboot flash userdata data.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
however, with cyanogenmod there are nmone of these except for boot.img. so, where do i get these images at, and are there any roms that support this?
also, could you give me tips on alternative ways of flashing if this is not going to be easy ( fastboot)? i use ubuntu 12.04 as my desktop os, so i cant use any windows utilitys, but i can still use fastboot and have all of the android developer stuff ready to go should we need to use that.
You can flash with a custom recovery for this phone. One is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671430. Can I ask where you got cyanogenmod for this phone? Cyanogenmod works with a different optimus net (it has a model number like p6xxx or something) not the lgl45c.

[Q] how to flash system image with fastboot

So now when we have got root method for our phones I wonder if we can possibly make it to flash faster, so we would not do it the qload mode but in regular fastboot like RSD is doing.
There is this mofo project, so we can safely say that this does work for other phones.
Does anybody know how the moto fastboot actually differs from the regular fastboot? How can we flash uncompressed (and modified) system image?
Did anybody already look into this?

Magisk

There is a new rootless method for Magisk, as seen here https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 It indicates that you MUST have a stock boot image dump beforehand, and you also have to be able to flash the patched boot image, either through fastboot/download mode or ODIN. Where would I find the stock boot image dump? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

this is not going to help us at all. the issue is just that, you have to be able to flash a patched boot.img, thus needing a UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
Samsung uses SECURE BOOT witch verifies the boot.img is signed by samsung , so using magisk to patch your stock img will result in a bootloop / no boot.
Only way we will get magisk working is a clever work-around that patches the boot.img after the secure boot check, or a custom magisk that places the needed files elsewhere and patches the process after boot, both are not gonna happen probably, so we either need a bootloader unlock, or a bootloader file that has secure boot patched or turned off, and i can tell you those will probably never happen, as unlocked bl is very rare for us, and having a dev willing to flash test modded bootloaders is how things become hard bricked.

Installing twrp or magisk doesnt work

Hi, so I wanted to install root and I first tried to install twrp but that didnt work, after i tried to install root in the magisk app itself and that didnt work too, heres the log:
- Device platform: armeabi-v7a
- Installing: 23.0 (23000)
! Installation failed
- Copying image to cache
- Unpacking boot image
Parsing boot image: [/data/user_de/0/com.topjohnwu.magisk/install/boot.img]
! Unsupported/Unknown image format
! Installation failed
Does anyone know why this is happening? Please help me I want to install root.
One of the most common ways is to patch a stock boot.img.
Place boot.img in sdcard. Open magisk app. Select "install magisk". Select "patch boot image" then, " let's go". Patched boot image will be in download folder. Put it on your pc and rename to just magisk_patched.img Boot into fastboot mode. "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img". Then reboot.
I don't know what phone you have but this is the way lots of phones achieve root.

The boot.img can normally be pulled from a copy of your phones firmware. You might inquire on your phone's xda forum, if there is one. Someone might share it with you.

Help me PLEASE!! Oneplus stuck at fastboot/bootloader.

I did switch file type on data and system in twrp. Now i only get to the bootloader. Please help! Is my phone destroyed?
You can always flash recovery images and other .imgs to get an operating system working.
Do not work. I will not boot. When i boot it says Boot image is broken. Try flashing a new one or contact customer service.
I think it cannot boot because i changed the file type to ext4 or something like that.
