New Rear Speaker - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Hi all!
After install wm 6 on my magician, my only problem is low quality of sound in rear speaker. So my question is: have someone tried to swap rear speaker from another htc or mobile?
Thanks 4 answers.

i haven't done it but i know the one from prophet is equal in format. the only problem is the it's cables to the board, are shorter... don't know if it's better than the one in magician...
you can buy it from www.movilqueen.com
search for speaker in s200...

better headset than default (or usb->minijack converter)

Hi,
The sound in the headset that comes with the Trinity is quite bad and I really want to get a better one. Does anyone know if there is anyone making good headsets (prefferrably in-ear earbuds) or alternatively a plug converter such that I can use my normal headset with the usb plug on the trinity.
This should be the nice solution for you : http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=142091&asource=HTC _P3600
(i'm getting one too, cause the BT stereo isn't that great at all...)
HTC Stereo Converter
Check this one:
11pins to 3.5mm Stereo Head Jack Converter for HTC devices.
http://shop.brando.com.hk/htcstereoconverter.php
Or you could check this site out. I ordered mine already and it's on the way.
http://www.doml.com/productdec.asp?pid=2698&model=d_d810&modeln=P3600
I ordered from brando a couple of days ago. Wanted a silicone cover too, but he did not have those yet.
sweet thanks for the links!
the mini usb to 3.5mm converter just have a problem doesn't support microphone function...
need to remove every time you receive a call...
Any other solution... like a normal headset with microphone and a mini usb?
the oem headset's sound quality is really bad, but i recognized that you can turn music much louder than older devices like my old wallaby
on expansys search for ORA usb to jack converter. there's a version that has a microphone.

with FM,RDS and 3.5mm
I personally picked this up

I don't know if it's going to work or not, I'll post and let everybody know when I recieve it. The reason I opted for a 2.5mm headset is because I have like 3 of them lying around because my old phone used a 2.5mm and I didn't want them to go to waste.. if it doesn't work or if the sound quailty sucks I'll give a motorola mini usb headset a try.

I can tell ya ahead of time that this will not work. The moto pinouts are different from the HTC proprietary pinouts. You need to get one made for HTC phones.

why not just cut off the unwanted earpiece....
anyone managed to open the mic box on the stock headset? does it just have snap locks or is glued? I would break it open, but the operative word would probably be Break. I was considering just changing the ear phones over to some expensive ones to improve sound quality without losing the mic and usb connection.
Speedn
edit: no glue, just snap locks. Push in on the walls of the mic box on the large bit, (the bit with the button in it). slide ya fingernail into the gap an prise the top small piece off. Caution the small top piece has small pins in it so pull it straight up and not to the side.
remove old earpieces and solder new ones on, its even got L- L+ R- R+ labelled for ya.
I havent actually progressed to the attaching of new phones yet, will pick some up over the weekend mebbe.
Enjoy

Rear Speaker - Audio Sample for Comparison

I've noticed threads regarding the Raphael's front speaker (earpiece), but I couldn't find detailed information or samples of audio from the rear speaker (speakerphone).
I noticed that my Fuze's rear speaker has some distortion when I put speakerphone on max volume. I am currently still on the official ROM and I have not changed any volume settings in Advanced Config. Here's how my Fuze sounds (the voice you hear is from AT&T's voicemail service):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc2MCm_NqsE
As you can hear, at max volume when the speaker reaches a high volume, it exhibits a crackling effect. I'm not an expert on phone speakers, but I wonder if my unit's rear speaker is defective in some way.
Anybody's feedback please?
I didn't get any feedback the first time I posted this and I'm really hoping that I can get some feedback to determine if I need to ask for a replacement.
Can you please spare a second to test out your speakerphones? It would be greatly appreciated!
I'm wondering myself too why nobody complains about it?!
I have a touch pro european version (unbranded) and I have this issue too. The sound quality is so much better with my old HTC Tornado (a device from 2005), the voice is warn & pleasant, something that I cannot say about Touch Pro. I've observed that HTC make 3 steps further and 3 steps back. Shame .
It may be the crappy/cheap earpiece & speackerphone..
My rear speaker sounds the same, just really "tinny" sounding, no bass or lows. My 8525 had a much better speaker with much better sound. It's not "your" phone, it's all of our phones.
Sigh, I was hoping I was alone with this so it could be fixed. Ah well, at least I don't have to start backing things up now
I wish I was richer I could say 'to hell with the warranty' and swap in a better speaker myself

Help! looking for decent stereo headset for music playback on Diamond

hi, before anybody says use the search on the forums, id like to say i have and still cant find anybody recommending stereo headset for the touch diamond, i have read about the jabra headset as well the sony and the nokias but cannot make mind up, please can someone share some of your experiences with your touch diamond.
p.s i have ordered from expansys the htc bh s100 only to find out that they are the french version with limitations on volume and have been in the expansys forum reading complaints on the unit so thats going to get canceled,so any help is appriciated,
thank you
Yus
The Best headset I have found is a Motorola headset the "MOTOROKRâ„¢ S9" you can see the manufacturers website here --> http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/S9/
Great battery life, comfortable, good sound quality when streaming audio as well as when using as a hands-free headset (provided the surrounding environment is not too loud).
Not exactly cheap...but it's a rugged little unit and quite resistant to environmental hazards..like washing machines
I also use the s9 and i love it. Highly recommend
thanks for replying people, the s9 doesnt suit me, but ive narrowed it down to the sony ericsson 220 are they any good?
yes actually i had this with the Sony Ericsson w960i. There a really good headset i liked that you could plug any headphones into it but found the wires redundant.
I use the plantronics 855 (I think thats the number), got no complaints at all, good sound qulity, great battery life and pretty damm comfortable.

Sound quality

Hi, I am thinking about getting this after selling my HTC Dream. Can anybody tell me what the sound quality/ volume is like throuigh the speaker please, compared to G1 or in general?
Thanks.
Tucka
Can anybody who has this phone please explain how good the sound is? I am going to purchase before midnight tonight and would like to know, this is a deal breaker. Sorry for rushing but this is important as to whether I purchase it

Better than Universal - on cable-headphones, bluetooth piece or just the handset.

[Q] [ACCESORY] Nokia Purity WH930

Hi evrebody,
I don't know if my question is stupid but I try to ask.
I own a Samsung Galaxy Note and a Samsung Ultrabook and I'm searching for a good headphones with microphone included. I need only one jack for free hand used with my phone, and for my ultrabook (this computer have only one jack for mic and audio).
After some research I find that model PURITY WH 930 (Sorry but I don't have permissions to post a link) with good specs and a fine look.
But.... it's manufactured by Nokia. So I conclude that I have lot of chances that control volume don't work on my peripherals.
Do you think this accesory can work for audio and mic at least on my peripherals?
And if there are a little hope for this, there is any solutions to map controls of this accesory on my Galaxy Note?
Thank for your help!
Best regards
