well today on my fuze, ive been very mysterious about a flash that occurs on the Ring LED every couple of seconds, has anyone got this kind of experience before? i was just like messing around on Album on TF3D and it started it to flash like once every i should say 6 seconds?, idk but plz tell me how i can turn this off...thanks!
Most likely that means that your battery is low (below 10 or 5%)
I think you can turn it off by charging your battery
thnx alot man! well now i know what it is but umm when i charge it itll breathe for like a good 10 mins then the light will blink i think i found what would be the problem and its probably this registry cab file i downloaded to improve the battery life
http://www.isyougeekedup.com/cool-and-easy-touch-pro-fuze-feature-enhancing-registry-tweaks/
i uninstalled it and the problem went away, ill let u guys know in a little to see if this is still going on
As stated it's probably because of low battery if you don't have any unchecked events or are charging the device.
You should note that the different sistuations have different flashing style, that way you can tell them appart.
well first i dont have any events checked yet as of just an alarm that goes off at 6am, when i charge it, the breathing light will stop after 10 mins and then the blink will go off every second and the battery meter on the very top would show all bars BUT like i mentioned earlier i uninstalled a tweak and it supposely thats what caused it
I've seen it happen on mine just from having an email marked as unread in the inbox (even after dismissing the notification). Something to look out for. (Maybe had to do with the ROM at the time)

I welcome. I have the very untypical problem.
It all started with it around the phone started showing that the battery is unloaded, in spite of it around was loaded up. I thought cool it apparently a battery fell down. I bought new and unfortunately the same. Since the battery almost on max is loaded up the rally is loading it for moments and then loading is turning off. However an indicator of loading up on the nought and an announcement of the weak battery are demonstrating the system and it is disconnecting. I thought ok I will make hard reset and most probably he will help, however it turned out around not. Yeah rally loaded WM6 together with new ROM and unfortunately the same old story. I will still add around after this moment when is loading and an orange diode is shining and the indicator is showing the battery around loading is when he is finishing an indicator is appearing around empty battery and with stamp 'x'.
I hope around somebody here will help me. And perhaps somebody knows where in the register it is possible to change placing so that the system doesn't download details about loading the battery up and he wasn't mutually exclusive
Say what?
Can you please ask someone to translate so we can at least understand what your problem is?
ok I write it with my words.
When I switch on my phone battery indicator in main screen shows zero and sign '!' and the telephone switch off itself.
When I put usb cable or telephone battery charger and switch on my phone the phone charging about 10-20 seconds and after that battery indicator shows empty battery and sign 'x'. The phone still work but the indicator in Settings/Power Managment/Main Battery is completely empty.
I have new battery so battery is ok. I made hard reset and changed software from wm5 to wm 6.1 and the battery still isn't charging.
I hope that it is undertanding now.
Has the battery indicator ever worked while you've owned the phone, or is this something that has happened since upgrading your ROM? Having said that, this sounds more like a hardware issue to me. Try taking the battery out and cleaning the pins on the phone. If you've tried different ROM's, I don't believe it's a software issue and after a quick search of the forum, I haven't found anybody with a similar issue, which I would expect to if it were software related
The battery indicator worked normally and one day it stopped working. I upgraded ROM becouse i thought that it help.
I have second question. Whether it is possible to change the register this way so that the starting system doesn't read the level of battery charge out.
I have the same problem. Did you solve it?
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but i checked some performance related threads and nobody mentioned it.
After hanging up a call, why does the entire device hang for about 10-13 seconds before I can use any other function (including making another call) ??
Anything that can be done to fix this?
Thanks for the help!
hello? I'd really appreciate someone to reply to this, just so at least I know I'm not the only one with this problem. Thanks!
did you do any radio changing?
It seems to be an issue with some radios on some phones. I have a list of radios that I use that will crash the phone after so many calls.
No, no radio changing. In fact I don't even know what that means.
The phone doesn't crash, it just hangs after a phone call for about 13 seconds like it's trying to process something. Doesn't anyone else experience this?
have you downloaded a bunch of app to run in the background of your phone?
it does sound redundant, but if you take a look at your task manager it'll show you how much of your ram is being used up. if it's somewhere high like 75% then you need to close whatever program is taking up the most memory.
another possible thing might be active sync. I heard that when active sync tries to sync while not connected it can cause slow downs and that might happen during or when you hang up a call.
good luck
Just tested it. Active directory was not on, and neither was there any background processes working according to Task Manager, and it still took 10 secs after I hung up the call before I could reuse the phone.
How long is it supposed to take for the rest of you?
a second or less. Active sync is the usual culprit for bad battery life, but it looks like something is running in teh background and making your phone calls take longer to quit.
download and install advanced config, and look in one of the settings which is called "hangup delay" or something like that default is 1500 mS (1.5 seconds) change it to 500 mS or what ever you want and see if that makes a difference

I've done that now, and all I've done is improve the "hang time" by the number I've reduced the "hangup delay" by. The hang-up delay was originally 3000, and I reduced it to 1000, so my "hang time" is reduced by 2 seconds, but I still have to wait around 9-10 seconds before the phone is usable again.
How come no-one else is experiencing this? There's nothing special running on my phone.
I have the Telus device and have the ' hang' problem as well. I have seen updates on the HTC website for different carrier versions that may correct this problem. None for Telus yet though.
do you have any sort of battery meter running at the top of your screen? ie tnt battery meter?
that app KILLS KILLS KILLS performance on the TP for some reason...
Yes I have a battery meter at the top of the screen, but it's the stock one. I don't know what a "TNT" battery meter is. Should I disable it, and if so how? And after I do, how would I know how much power I have left? And are you saying that those of you who did not turn of the battery meter had performance problems when hanging up?
Thanks!

Thank-you! I am also with Telus! If anyone has any suggestions - please help! This is the number one problem with the phone, as well as dropped calls on occasion. I like all the non-phone (ie. PDA) functions though (except that all my outdoor photos turn blue)
Found this which seems to help:
Dealt with HTC for the same issue you're talking about. Turn the "Auto save contact" off and make sure you wipe you call history and the issue will go away.

im talking about a meter that runs across the very top of your screen so that if it's halfway across your screen you ahve 50% battery left. if you don't have any idea what i'm takling about then ignore this lol
So i just got a Samsung i780 and after charging the first battery i put it in and started up the phone.
However i was stunned to find that the standby time was less than 7 hrs!!
Samsung says 400hrs standby, but now ive tried both the batteries that came with the phone and i did an xperiment, by charging the battery to a 100% before i went to bed and then leave the phone in standby.
When i woke up next morning the phone had shut off and couldnt be turned back until i either connected the ext power or replaced the battery.
This goes for both the batteries and the phone is like 2 days old, and no i didnt charge the batteries half way at any point, they were at less than 30% when i recharged them and charged to 100% before i started to use them. :-(
Also i made sure the WiFi wasnt on and i set every powersaving feature to save as much power as possible by lowering the display light to the lowest setting and have it shut off the display after the shortest period of time if the device is not in use etc etc etc...
My old HP Ipaq 6515 with WM 2003 never did anything like this and that one still has a standby time of approx 90hrs, but also the powersaving features in the old WM03 is more simple and apparently works better.
Also, when i start up the Samsung after replacing the battery, i cant change the ldc brightness, nothing happens when i choose another setting, the screen stays at the lowest setting of brightness, until i reset the phone, then it works properly.
My god i thought my old Ipaq was flawed and annoying with its way of suddenly turning itself off now and then due to the batt cover being crap, but this is almost worse!
So plz anyone who has any idea/suggestions, lemme know as this is really getting to me! :-D
Thx in advance!!
Maybe a rom upgrade will solve your problems

Well it maybe will, but where will i get that?
I go to Samsung and under products i choose my phone model, then i go to "Support and downloads" and theres only a bunch of manuals in pdf and then activesync 4.5 available. :-(
Also i just noticed under the power adjustment theres an option that will shut off the display during a call 5 secs after the call has begun.
However bneneath it it says, that the phone wont shut the disp off unless the phone is in "inactive mode" whatever that means, i havent come accross anything anywhere with a possibility to enable "inactive mode"

Inactive mode i think is the one when you press the power button to shout down the display.
You can find a lot of infos about roms searching "i780" on this forum.

Thx mate, in that case thats not a problem, i mean the "inactive mode" i always use that, a habit from my old Ipaq which didnt run for too long with the display on.
I found a rom upgrade to version 6.1, however i could only find it in english, but thatll have to do for now, because whats the "correct" language worth if the device cant stay turned on for more than 4 hrs? ;-)
Geeez this is freaking me out now, i try to do the upg to 6.1 and the upgrader needs to verify the deviee, so it verifies it and alerts me about it and say "Press ok to reset the device", the phone restrts and meanwhilke the upgrader throws this in my face: "Time-out. Unable to access device. Try again".
So i tried again and the same thing happend. Pfffft.... Boohoo!!
Have you installed the drivers, activesync etc.? Is your battery fully charged?
What drivers? afaik the ain no drivers, but yes i have the Mobile Device center installed and that works perfectly.

Hoping someone might be able to help me here..
Within an hour of being taking off the charger (and confirming it was 100% at that time) my battery life is down to 80%.
What's happened so far is:
1) alarm went off (set to ring only - no vibrate)
2) recieved 2 emails on yahoo (set to check every 60 mins)
3) received 1 push email through exchange/active sync
4) 1 calendar appt reminder.
The screen has probably only come on 3 times for no more than 10 seconds each time. My brightness is set to the 2nd lowest level possible. My ringer is on the highest.
Here are the apps I have installed. I have not "launched" any of these today.
.net 3.5
Easy Shares
Google Maps
Microsoft My Phone - (set to sync once at 3am & was on charger then)
Mobil manager for netflix
S2U2
Waze (another GPS app)
Phone is about 4 weeks old.
download HD Tweak and set up data disconnect after to 1 minute. I am almost positive your data is staying on after downloading email because i had the same problem with my Touch Pro. Keeping the data session open is a huge battery drain
My battery life is terrible too! I charge it fully throughout the night and the phone typically dies by the time I get home from work at 6PM or so. I barely use it at work. Never talk on it. The occasional text message. But by the end of the day the phones dead. I have no idea why. I know for some odd reason by phone will not automatically go into sleep mode. It should, but doesn't. Not sure if that kills the battery even though I manually push the sleep mode button each time.
I set up the HD Tweak software. We'll see if this helps. Does it work for the Touch Pro 2 also?
Any of you guys using a case with a magnet on it by any chance?
Possible explanation...

Just curious, did you charge the phone while it was on? If so, I've found it a problem. I once charged my phone while it was on, and I took it off after about 2 hours (the green LED indicator probably showed up an hour before I took it off). I checked the battery meter and it registered at 89%! I found out that there's a flaw in the way the found charges. Once the LED turns green for a full charge, the charger cuts off, but (I think what I'm about to say might be true) the phone thinks it's running something as it charges, thus causing the rapid battery drop.
Since then, I stopped charging my phone while it was on. I now turn off the phone and then charge it. I can last a whole day with about 45 minutes total on the Internet, and my battery would go to about 60+%.
However, as jaas666 pointed out, are you putting your phone near a magnet? The magnet tricks the phone into thinking the stylus/keyboard is being pulled out, thus causing it to wake up, which will drain your battery.
Have you tried a task manager to see if a program is running when it's not supposed to?
http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm
I had terrible battery life and found two issues. One program was always taking up around 10% CPU usage (VZO video chat software). Also found that Google Sync, set up through ActiveSync, was having trouble. I'd open ActiveSync and find it in a synching loop. For me the solution was to untick "Tasks" in the sync menu. Since then, battery life has been great.

HD Tweak works fine on mine, I've also heard of some people using Diamond Tweak. I mostly text all day maybe some internet but I have gone a day and a half without charging and even then my battery had only gotten to ~20% so I think with a few changes it could be fixed. I'd check out some of the Tweaks threads here and at PPCgeeks for registry edits u can do to save the battery too
I had those issues with my 2000mAh battery on my sprint tp1. With my verizon tp2 my battery life is fantastic. I use the crap out of it all day also. Was wondering if the bad battery life is happening mostly with sprint users.
I have my active sync connected at all times for wireless email calendar task syncing. I charge with the phone on all nite long and the battery drains only slowly throughout the day. Less than 50% today. It is on 24/7 I never shut it down unless I'm soft resetting due to a file or app install. I use my ms3.5 task manager to keep stuff closed after using. I always put it to sleep mode by the button when I'm done with it. My screen is set to brightest and stays on 2 min. before sleep mode engages unless I manually do it.
I'm sorry to hear your battery issues, my tp1 with sprint was really hard on battery juice. I found it would struggle to find a signal alot, one reason I switched to vzw.
Hope you figure it out.
Sad to say that my less than 4 days old Sprint TP2 is disappointing to say the least in battery life and all around usability. Now i'm coming from a Treo Pro and so used to one handed operations and such. But i digress...
Battery life on this beast is sad, really sad. Someone alluded to Gmail Exchange ActiveSync as a potential battery drain so i might look into that. Basically i'm gonna hard rest and start from scratch applying less tweaks. Basically i find TF3D tedious really..takes too many steps just to do some basic things. I turned it off and managed better a bit but i just might go back to my Treo Pro and sell this thing..
My battery "appears" to drop quickly, but actually hangs in there quite nicely. My old phone only showed me 20% increments, so going to 1% makes it very noticable.
I ran cleanup first thing, then went back and customized.
I use Activesync in push mode (7 days per week 8am - 9pm), have it checking Hotmail, stocks, weather every 30 minutes. BT is on, Data on, WiFi off. I even went back and turned auto screen back on as I couldn't read cleanups default change in the sunlight.
Gets turned on at 7am, and at 10 pm I'm ussually 30-40%. Medium user - 40 minutes phone use daily, 1-2 hours total IE time, ALOT of email checking, hardly any SMS.
I do use a magnetic holster too. S2U2 fixed that issue.
Biggest drain I noticed is screen. If I turn off auto and go back to CleanUp default, I can get through almost 2 full days if I turn it off around 11pm, and back on 7am.
And as far as battery total use, my older phones always turned themselves off at about 15%. THIS THING WARNS ME AT ABOUT 4% and turns off 2-3%! That's alot of extra battery use.
There is a company making a 1750a battery that will fit in stock case.
Tp2 VZW
Not sure if this will help you but some phone cases can cause battery drain. Read here:

Hello XDA,
I've recently purchased a samsung infuse and there were a few things standing out that i was wondering about. When i bought the phone, it had already been unlocked + rooted + flashed with S7, it should be running on the default kernal that came with S7. Afterwards, i installed dynamicRAM's tweaks in the development section.
1) Lock screen lag.
Wondering if anybody else is having this problem. When i hit the unlock button, theres a small lag time present before the screen activates, subsequently, when swiping my finger across to unlock the screen, theres a lag time before the imagine/slider/what have you responds. At first, i thought this had no functional problem and that it was just a little ugly. Until i received a phone call and in my attempt to answer it, the slider didn't respond. I wonder if this is perhaps a kernal problem?
2) If it is a kernal problem, is it compatible to try flashing the infusion 1.1 kernal overtop the default S7 kernal (Granted that the phone itself is first backed up with tibu and a NANDroid backup performed). Would this help the above problem?
3) The seller had the phone overclocked to 1.6 ghz with setCPU which isn't a large problem as its an ondemand clocking. however, the battery usage seems to be lower than expected? Note that i do not use data plan so thats turned off, wifi is turned off, but i like having the brightness as full (i acknowledge this eats up a lot of the battery).
Leaving the phone on my bedside table for sleep, it depletes 6% over the course of my 6 hour sleep. 1% an hour seems pretty fair. However yesterday, i unplugged from 100% at 2pm and used it till the following day 10 am. During this period, it depleted to 49%. I used aldiko for my book for an hour before bed. Sent a total of 14 texts, received 18. No music player was used, rest of the time the phone was essentially idle. I'm a little surprised at this.
I have yet to calibrate the phone but it is only a month old, granted it was calibrated after flashing S7, could this be the problem? I don't think the phone is undervolted yet, would voltage control from the market help this by lowering it a bit?
4) sometimes my volume slider just dissapears, i don't know why. Using the volume rocker on the homescreen usually has the ringer volume pop up. But once in a while, it stops showing up, the settings still work, but the slider is invisible. It is not restored upon reboot, and it eventually comes back and dissapears again.
5) First phone call has no audio. I believe this is a documented problem with S7, just asking to confirm this.
6) A couple of albums in my music library aren't tagged properly in the player despite being correctly tagged with MP3TAG on my computer. After some research, i think i found this is a GB media scanner problem. Is there a way to correct this? Perhaps take an apk from another ROM and replace it?
Many thanks to anybody who takes the time to read this thread
