Heaset status indicator - General Topics

Does anyone know of a headset status indicator, showing the fact that a headset is CONNECTED and ACTIVE. So unlike the bluetooth icon or device entry in the settings?
I read about a "headset icon" in S2U2, as early as version 0.95 I believe, but I cannot figure out what, where, why and when that icon is shown.

Hi,
On my iPAQ 614c it shows on the phonescreen when a headset is paired and in use.
Dirk

Hey Dirk,
I own a HTC touch 3G, so it could be that the icon is not visible because of the TouchFlo. At least there is no change on the screen, phonescreen or lockscreen, when the headset is toggled.
To test; does anyone know of a way to open the original PocketPC phone window instead of HTC TouchFlow one?

bluetooth icon at taskbar disappeared

i´ve noticed, my bluettoth icon on taskbar has disappered. so i can´t see, if bluetooth is on or off.
how to bring back the bluetooth icon to the taskbar?? also if my bt-headset is connected a few days ago there was a bluetooth icon with a headset on it. please help me...
i disabled the htc dialer. is this the problem??
I think, that's the reason-disabling the HTC dialer. Anyway you should see BT icon in the systray. Do you?
you´re right. i don´t know why, but disabling the htc dialer let my bluetooth icon disappear...
thanks

Question: how to show BT icon in IconBar?

Some devices like Omnia, don't have led notification.
So, the only way to have info about BT activation should be icon in upper iconnbar (not in traybar, because with manila it is not visible).
Wi-Fi do it. But BT not.
The icon is present in dll (it shows when received a file), but non show when set BT on.
There is a way to make it?

I have the same question in reverse
I recently flashed a custom ROM that added this icon and do not like it. It serves no purpose for me (I always have bluetooth on, and clicking the icon does nothing anyway). I can't figure out how to get rid of it.
Searching for "Icon" in the registry did not even hit anything.
i'm not into omnia at all, but there are a few threads dealing with changing taskbar icons, maybe you can find info there about how to add the icon and change its looks.

The OP does not want to *change* the icon, he does not have it at all and wants it there. And I am the opposite, I *have* the icon and want to totally remove it.
It's an icon that shows whenever bluetooth is turned on.
There is some way to turn the bluetooth icon on and off, because the last ROM I had (which was the same WinMO version) did not have the icon, and this one does.
EDIT: Also before anyone asks - I have no bluetooth apps in Windows/Startup, so it is not that.

hehe, it's controlled by some dlls.. but first thing you should do is to download Advanced Configuration 3.3 by Schaps and DISABLE the phone skin
the op needs to do the opposite.

Argh, really? I really like my skin... why would the phone skin affect the bluetooth icon?
you can notice that when you install different dialers, you also get different taskbar icons... that's why with the dialer, some dlls are supplied.

If I disable my phone skin, my dialer is now all busted
If this icon is supplied by some DLL, can I delete the one in question? Or replace it?
try battery status, theres loads of options like having wifi, cellular, and bt icon in bottom tray. From there it shows if its on/off/discoverable ,you can even iniate ad2p from the icon.

I use Manilla2d so I don't have a bottom tray.
I am talking about the status icons at the top.
which device do you have?
i recommend using the new iolite phone canvas.. it has the BT icon with the skin enabled by default..

FAQ:
Q: Is it for the Samsung Omnia?
A: NO, and it never wil be! (sorry I don't like Omnia users, most of them are newbies at WM and ask stupid questions)

And i tryed last iolite phone canvas, but it is QVGA, not WQWGA (omnia is 240x400) so don't show very well.
But BT icon works
So, i have Omnia, i have default Win phone Skin, and i think it's not easy to have the BT icon in iconbar if i don't have a good phone canvas
But the question is: can i use simply the dll and its associate keys for obtain it without change phone skin?
oops, i completely forgot it was an omnia.
I assume you can just apply the dlls..
i didn't deal with taskbar customization too much..
but as i told you, there are 2 threads, mentioned in an earlier post, you can find many icons and guidance there..
So... no one knows how to remove this icon if present? Maybe i should start a new thread with a better title.
I"ve also been trying to figure out how to get rid of the bluetooth symbol...

Alerts vs. menu bar

I'm not sure if this is a setting or a byproduct of TF3D, but I can't stand the way that alerts work.
If I have a reminder for an upcoming appointment, the notification toast doesn't appear at the bottom like it did with my Mogul and other WM devices. The chime goes off and the alert icon appears on the menu bar, so I hit that, I get the menu bar selection screen and then if I hit the alarm bell, the toast displays at the bottom.
I'm running the default Sprint ROM for now, with some of the basic tweaks. This (and the inability to use a 4-pin headset) are my only real remaining beefs.
Is there a config or tweak I can do, is this just the way it is?

I have a ATT fuze so I dont know how much of difference the set up is...Did you look in system, sounds and notifications then notifications then scroll to reminders and make sure display message on screen is checked...What else have you installed that could be interferring?
Slawcops hint did the trick here.
After upgrading to the newest HTC official (dutch) ROM, TF3D was always in front of such system messages.
By going into the setting menu, sounds and notifications, notifications tab
then selecting "Reminders" (I guess thats what's it called in the english version) in the dropdown box and enabling the "show message in screen" my problem was solved.
Hope this helps!
edit: It would seem this action is needed every time after a soft-reset...if anyone knows where and if this value is stored in the registry, I would really like to know.

Question about bluetooth icon

I always have my bluetooth connection on, and there is the little bluetooth icon on top of the screen, is there any way to get rid of the icon without turning bluetooth off?
Any info will be appriciated. Thanks.
the bluetooth icon is controlled by the phone's skin. unfortunately, if you remove the skin you might see a big difference in your dialer's appearance.
try installing Avanced Config 3.3, go to the Phone settings and change the Phone Skin option to Disabled.

DZ-09 Bluetooth Smart WristWatch Phone

I'm wondering if someone can answer a question I have about my DZ-09 Bluetooth Smart WristWatch Phone. When I turn it on it has the 'oval' blue clock dial. I would like to change that 'oval' blue (clock) dial to another one. I had a better one previously but don't know why I have not gotten this over blue one (that I can hardly read). I went to settings, etc., but can't see how to change the (opening) clock blue dial face.
