Here is "How to fix SnapVue...."

Probably will work for you as well,
(Using MW6.1 19174 build DarkForce (Thank you mwang for posting this ROM))
If you still remember, the first time we used WM 6.0, the old PIM (from WM 5) cannot be used in the new version, we have to sync the contacts (not thru back-up) to be able to use our UNI. Same thing in this new version (I supposed), you have to manually enter the appointments in the calendar on-by-one.
This is what I did...
1st: From my Back-up (I used PIMBackup (thanks to the creator)) I restore only the contacts.
Check if the SnapVue problem is there (lucky for me SnapVue is still working properly).
2nd: I restore my Task, Hmmmm, SnapVue is hannging Hmmmm... I then checked my tasks, a lot of duplicates is there. Every time I remove the duplicates (one-by-one) the performance is getting better and better until it returns to normal performance.
3rd: I didn't restore my appointment (Calendar Entry), I enter my appointments one-by-one to avoid duplicates (B-Day, Aniv, Holidays etc.).
4th: Restore messages, Speed Dial, Call Logs
For 2 days of observation, no SoftReset, no hannging, Phone Functionality is perfect, all HWButtons are working...
Though no Video Call as expected, this ROM is perfect....
P.S. The Wi-Fi toggle (On/Off) beside the signal is now working.
Next action will be to Backup everything then Restore after HardReset... (maybe later)

I love the speed and the stability, but i have not been able to use the wifi on off, I click it but nothing happens, any sugestions, I have reinstalled the rom if that would have been an sugestion, so any help would be kool.

Hi 'kabayan',
I'm curious if the 4-5 sec system pauses is really gone after the manual entry of appointments. In my case, after 10 manual appointment/recurring event entries the device starts pausing for 4 to 5 secs once again. Pls. see my post here. I'm currently running with SnapVUE active but with less than 10 appointment entries only! Please confirm that the pause/delay is really gone after manual entry.
I would agree that the ROM is rock solid - stable although some minor problem with activating WiFi & connecting to WPA-PSK setup. Mail setup via SnapVUE is also working alright here contrary to what others are experiencing!

My appointments are more than that cause I am using CallCalendar. All call transactions are recorded in my calendar. My friends, relative's (even biyanan's) birthday are recorded in my Calendar.
I restored all my important messages since last year.
Try mo to...
restore only Contacts, Messages call logs (if any), speed dials (if any). You can restore tasks as well but make sure you don't have duplicate entry. (i am using pim backup)
Try to enter the appointments one-by-one.
I assume that the old appointment's structure is slightly different in the new version which is causing hang-ups.
all the above assumptions are based on what I did in my device.
I assure you as well that the wi-fi toggle (on/off) is working in my device but i'm no wi-fi expert I dont know if I am using WPA-PSK or whatever.
I tick my Turn on Wi-Fi toggle to ON then device will scan, then ask me if I want to connect, if I click connect then WEP Key will be asked. Paste it then connect.
If i want to close, tick the toggle, click Turn off Wi-Fi... thats it..
I didn't install any tweaks, I only installed psShutXP, TCPMP & TCPMP Plugins

Thanks for the latest & wonderful WM6.1 ROM!
SnapVUE is alright for some of us like rmercado & dreamtheater39. We have gotten away with the pause by our own means. I hope you can provide a separate build for us, SnapVUE lovers! A flash disk would be great too!

Come on, a new WM6.1 ROM with a better today plugin than SnapVue?
SnapVue is good already & you have something better? Great!
Well, I always have high regards for DFT ROM's specially the last WM6.1 build. If you are releasing something that soon, I guess you really have something GREAT!
Looking forward to that, at the moment enjoying SnapVue & this crash-less WM6.1 build of yours!!!

best way to fix SnapVue ..... delete it ..... from rom ..... from life ..... etc .. exremely huge and buggy app ... with crappy functionality ... best place in trash can
toch flo - funny app ... they cant be compare with iphones interface .... just a huge and buggy app with low functionalyty and huge memory consuption ... really dunno why all wanna ave this .. maybe becose people have huge amount of free ram ... and they wanna some bugs on his ass

I downloaded this program and like it didn't want to flash at all. I put it on my phone and doubleclick on it and it just gave me an error. So my friend's brother installed it for me cause he's like a super genius and he said you didn't know how to setup the installer.
Anyhow, How much memory does it have?
And there's a bug, you have to hit the wifi button twice for it to work. That means that this is a crappy rom and you are a *insert swear words here*.

MediaFire's uploads and downloads will be sporadically offline for database maintenance.

I Promise to abuse the MMS for you papa and let you know my findings ... You are still cruel bringing out this room while im flashing the previous rom.

OK the time is 3:21am here in nyc the boogie down bronx. I am now flashing your rom ... You are still cruel .... I will go thru the same tests but since its the beta ill keep it for at least a few days as long as MMS works.... Went thru a whole day with no MMS thats horrible and cruel .. Presently at 32% .. Will get back with further updates after rom is flashed and wing is back up and running ... Many thanks pap your last rom looked real sweet wish I could have played with it a while longer but I cant resist a new flash......

I love the clean screen . As my background is always a picture of me I can see myself clearly.
Ok ... 1st bug I have seen was when going thru changes on the today screen the picture album opened and I couldn't get out of it no matter what I pressed. After about 1 minute the phone rebooted. Ok I see no MMS at all let me find someone to send 1 to me . Also on the cube after the reboot some icon asre missing on one of the panels. I believe the memory and storage icons.
Now I just did another reset after running Connection setup to see if I can get MMS. The icons now came back on the cube with that reset as well. There is that bug i see him ... lol ... Once you goto today's settings and goto item and change anything well rather i been choosing battery and metrix the cube icons get messed up. OK I see MMS now let me try sending a message again .. Must do the reg-edit to see sim contacts. I know most dont like to see their sim contact but I prefer to see them in my contacts.
Bluetooth works quiet fine with both motorola H375 and motorola HS850 even tho I dont see my bluetooth icon now when im using the phone. MMS still isnt working at all .. Thats a big bug. Let me add ArcSoftMMS v4.2.8.1 cab and see if it will work MMS.
WOW reconnected phone to computer and it locked up .. Activesync could not connect. Slide control works i can turn off sounds as I wish. When sliding the screen changes in parts. it cuts a picture into parts then takes a few moments to set it clear.
All my MMS messages were deleted from all folders on this reset. Not sure why as I change the settings to manual removal. And after a few differnt MMS cabs still no MMS ..... I think I will flash back to your older rom as i need MMS. I will gladly test any fix you have as I don't mind flashing ....
The Audio Manager works flawlessly let me test windows media player even tho i rarely use that application. Ok it works as well for music but doesn't play any video. TCPMP player works but if you want to see a video you must first start the video then close the program. After if you restart the program you can see the video. You must do this every time you want to see a different video.
HTC Album works but I can only view pictures that are in my picture folder. Not sure if thats how it works but if not then thats not good. The batteryStatus can be started through the programs folder with out changing the icons on the cube.
Oxios Hibernate works flawlessly as usual. Sim manager works quiet fine even tho I feel its a useless utility to me. Total Commander works as I use it for reg-edits. Romsettings is ok. Enlarge StartMenu works as well with no issue even tho I turn it off not sure if I mentioned that about this rom .. LOL .. Now I know I am tired ut sill I have to flash so seeing how much more I can test before the flashing continues.
All the office components work very well. Due to the fact I don't have a data plan I cant properly test the Internet sharing for you. Sorry about that my dear friend.
Now maybe I missed it but how do you change the icons and settings on the cube . Since I never actually used it before I am not 100% sure.
I hope this little test of mines helps in the development of this rom and hopefully all the bugs can be sorted .... If I could cook already I would try to fix them as best as possible.

Hi Willy,
I suppose you got the links from the forum and they probably used linkbucks over there "and you just used copy and paste".
For some reason the PDAViet forum is not accesible anymore for guests and you have to sign up to access the forum "and therefore the links".
I used to access their forum even though all I was doing is going through the links and find "elfin" and download the rom "since I don't understand the language"
now it is impossible to do so so thanks again for sharing and I wonder why they want people to sign in to download from a rapidshare link "since they don't have an english part"

i've never known how to read build numbers, i can be wrong.. but i do think it already happened btwn v40 and v41

Just flashed to V44 (with 18MB PP), so far so good.
1 thing I noticed, the bottom bar covers a name when in (Contacts) application if you keep pressing 'down'
Not sure if it's because of 18MB PP, or the new ROM. It does seem to be faster than V41 PDAViet.

I created my own cab file, based on smartdial v3b, diamond & black dialer for WWE.

i never managed to get a prog that could kill an actual process, although i found a hundred that could kill an application, so i can't just kill cprog.exe and add i can't remember which dll to the windows directory

Try Dotfred's Task Manager (http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm). It works for me. If you just want smartdial with no skin, see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394518.

I used Resco Explorer 2007 5.17 to overwrite \windows\etphone.dll directly

Any annoying bugs found in this release?

I am trying this ROM right now. So far so good!
The only big issue is that PCM Keyboard's space bar does not work, which is still unresolved from previous versions of PDAViet. I installed Resco Keyboard Pro as an alternative.
ROM is hyper fast!

bug (maybe) A2DP
HI. im using this ROM for 1 day now. when streaming mp3 with A2DP, the winmediaplayer always stop itself after few minutes. not between songs, but in the middle of the song. if i press play then the song will continue for few mins then stop again. have no issue with previous ROM. anyone else try A2DP with this ROM ?

Prepare to get flamed, because the answer is right there on the upgrading forum if you look at the top.

The ROM is working great on my Touch, no problem so far. The only annoying thing is the dialer, if I want to redial the last number the SEND button doesn't do anything, I need to get into the call history > select the last call and press call or send button, Anyway to fix this?

Sorry to ask... and you have an Artemis (version x.x) with SPA language or WWE I ask this because I have (my sig) and I think update to the last 5.5 PTG and maybe work good with a PTG

I installed this and it works great! The only problem is, how I delete books I don't want? I've tried deleting from both the Reader/Books folder and also via the ereader interface. Both times the books still remained when I navigate to the ereader tab in sense?! Any suggestions or am I doing something wrong?

My ROM doesn't have the Document reader .
Tried Mr X's CAB, doesn't work properly, I can launch the Book library viewer from the installed directory which shows a bunch books which don't open, which I presume is because the books aren't actually an the phone lol.
There are a couple of other excutables as well, one is the reader I think but that just states it's not a pocket pc app or something like that and the other just keeps trying to access something and fails?!?!?! (sorry for being vague - just recalling it from memory, as uninstalled the CAB now).
Have no idea how to add books (or where to put them) but was able to delete the thumbnails which were already there.
Obviously the production of a working Ereader CAB is getting closer, I guess I'll just have to be patient.

Not sure why but this works fine on my ROM until my exchange server does its encryption thing then I get a tab but when i go to it its blank with no options

Is this supposed to work on TM-US version of HD2? It seems to work but whenever I do a soft-reset I get an error telling me services.exe has crashed.

tried, it works, but it disappointed me.. it's a poor app, I removed

I have a sim card from NRJ Mobile operator wich was not recognized by my Treo original 6.1 (reboot all the time). With your rom my NRJ sim cards still works now, just have to config data info for mail and web testing. Its my TREO PRO's revival...

I have a sim card from NRJ Mobile operator wich was not recognized by my Treo original 6.1 (reboot all the time). With your rom my NRJ sim cards still works now, just have to config data info for mail and web testing. Its my TREO PRO's revival...

your welcome can you scroll in the contacts menu and see if the contacts become blurry. this an issue in most 21xxx builds

I ave no probleme with contact, no blur even in scroll. Its the classic windows list, with small picture on right.
Windows live don't connect, even in wifi. I have reinstall from Market, enter login and password, click next, waiting and return to home. I have put Explorer as default browser, no change... will test later another account. Messenger and hotmail email account don't work, even in home. MSN Meteo and Myphone works with the same account.
Installing other appli (Market, France 24 : TV online, Bluetooth Headphone) it works.
I have not see another problem, except capslock on physical keyboard (2 click on caps to make lock normally don't work. Its not a problem, there is screen keayboard. All another key of my AZERTY keyboard works fine.
What is Perfman application for ? Can this ap help you with log ?
In the same time I test your ROM, I discover WP 6.5... You have done very good job, thanks again. If you have another test or question i will help you.

Calculator don't work : error message in french, I "translate" :
"Mobilecalculator not signed with confiace certificat or one composant is missing. Try reinstall or restore"
Camera don't work : error message in french, I "translate" :
"can't initialise camera. failure device configuration"
Gmail email and pop account can be create, another hotmail account doesn't works.

thanks for the report in the next build i will cook windows live its a problem in every 6.5 Rom i forgot to add it but it should work when you download it from Marketplace maybe I didn't include a important package that uses Windows live. I also forgot to add the package that fixes the capslock issue. I never used Perfman but I think it is performance monitoring I'm not sure if i am correct. I am going to start building a new version of this Rom that fixes the Issues

I have seen in other post during my search that Live need to be reinstall from market. I do it, uninstal from market, reinstall and dont work.
After enter login and click next, windows "color ball" turning 1 sec and the phone return to home page.

created anew version of the ROM maybe this will fix the issues http://www.4shared.com/file/G4vMh1Hk/65_build_21896.html
Update: i installed the English version of this Rom and it looks like its a bad build because most of the apps are not working like reboot and home screen cutomizer

Caps lock is ok.
WLive, camera, hotmail account for email and messenger don't work.
Perhaps make a rom without Wlive, people in france will install themselve.

I am going to make a 21884 Rom which Has 21896 French SYS files because the 21896 is missing some files like calculator

didn't work the kitchen kept crashing if i built it. Now i will try to cook build 28230 in french

All seems to work exept Windows Live. No matter for me, don't need to chat with MSN
Sync with Myphone works its essential.

I removed windows live and other packages like voip sync with bluetooth watch and etc... because 28230 build is too big for Treo Pro so I had to get rid of some useless things. Windows live didnt work even if i add the package you would still have to go to marketplace and install it so i just got rid of it. Also one other problem is that there is some English still in the build.

Just to let you Know I haven't given up making a ROM for French language the hard part is that I am not able to find any working 6.5 Builds for Treo Pro in French I can Make a French 21054 6.1 Build for you while I try to find a way to build a working 6.5 Sorry again for the delay i feel so bad that im not able to make a ROM for you in French

Lost radio
I used your Build_28230 Rom from couple of day and everything was fine.
Sudenly, today, I've lost radio. Don't know why... I reinsatll rom and nothing change.
I have to reinstall a english rom (build 21857.5.0.66) to have radio. I tryed to reinstall your 6.5_Build_28230_French_Alpha rom after but no radio where find...
If you have a French 21054 6.1 Rom wich working i will be happy to get it.

hmm thats weird here is build 6.1 21054 I think it will be more stable then the other Roms i have built an I like this Rom a little bit more then the Stock Rom Download Here
