Hi,
we have two windows mobile devices and want to synchronize some kind of data (ie. meetings and tasks).
How is it possible WITHOUT PC?
TIA
Mail2Web
Hi
If you're connecting both devices to a PC then simply sync them both with the same MS Outlook profile and you're done. Another way to achieve this would be through an exchange server. You'd have to sync both devices on the same exchange account but this is possible. Check out Mail2Web as a method of getting your exchange set up:
http://www.mail2web.com/
You would of course need internet connectivity on both devices for this solution to work.

Thanks a lot!
I just hoped there's a direct way...

I am working for two companies and have to keep both Outlook/Exchange agendas up-to-date. Until now I did this by plugging my Qtek S100 (WM 2003) into each of the PCs. As we know, this is no longer possible with WM5.
Has by now anybody found a solution or an elegant work-around, or do I have to stick to two PDAs, one for sync reason? Thank you and best regards, Stefan
why is it impossible with wm2005?
i sync with everything on my desktop at home
and sync with calender and tasks and notes and favourites
on my laptop at work it works without any problems at all
You can sync everything from both into your one device, but you would need Intellisync. It would not be set-up as an exchange source on the device, simply as 2 seperate PC's.
Obviously having the two set-up means you would not be able to sync with your home PC because you're limited to 2 ActiveSync PC connections, but you could still set-up your own Exchange source with any of the push mail providers to do this.

He mentions Outlook and Exchange. 2 Outlooks isn't a problem, but 2 Exchanges is.
2 Exchange Servers the Problem?
That is not my experience with WM5.
When establishing the partnership with Outlook1 I have to decide if I want to sync my calendar with that Outlook - which I do want.
Upon establishing the partnership with Outlook2 I cannot choose calendar to sync with Outlook2 as it is already being occupied by Outlook1.
And yes, behind both Outlook is (a different) Exchange Server, but I would not need to sync with the Exchange Server directly, synching with both Outlooks would be good enough.
Thank you AlanJC!
Thank you Alan, your hint lead me to a working solution.
I synchronize Agenda, Contacts and Tasks with Exchange Server 1 via Server Synchronization.
I synchronize Agenda, Contacts and Tasks with Outlook 2 using XTNDConnectPC, which allows me to synchronize the data of my WM5 Smartphone with the contents of the Outlook-Client.
BTW: Intellisync worked as well, but had some flaws in "forgetting" to synchronize certain Calendar entries with other people participating. XTNDConnectPC does not seem to have that problem.
Thank you again, Alan!
My company has cut support for pocket outlook, so now I can't sync with the exchange server anymore (not directly, by wifi not even with activesync when connected to the pc). However, "normal" outlook still works, is there a way to mask the pocket pc and force the server to sync with it?
there could be many reasons as to why you can no longer sync. activesync could be disabled on the exchange server, perhaps they have removed access from outside the network, perhaps you need to VPN to the LAN first.....
can you give more info regarding your existing outlook set up? is it accessing the server from the LAN? is it possible to use outlook to check mail remotely? if so is outlook setup to check mail over a VPN or http?
the more info you can provide the easier it is to help.
I can only check email inside the company's network, so I have an openvpn account to check when I'm at home or anywhere else. This worked perfectly until they shut down the service. Now activesync gives an error 85010014 and they told me it was normal, the service was no longer supported. That's why I want to mask the pocket pc to make it look like the normal outlook and still allow me to sync everything. Is it possible?
Outlook PPC communicates with Exchange via web server and does not use the same Exchange protocol that Outlook desktop does. Your best bet might be if your Exchange server exposes an IMAP service, which you can then connect to.
The bottom line is Outlook PPC and Outlook desktop are completely different.
You may also like to try Outlook Mobile Access, which may also have been shut down (as it runs alongside DirectPush as a rule). In IE try something like: https://mypushserver.mycompany.com/oma. Use http or https depending on whether DirectPush was originally configured for SSL or not.
Edit: If your company is only supporting Blackberry (as mine does) you might want to try BB Connect for Windows Mobile. I'm not sure how easy it is to get hold of, however.
they did mention something about blackberry... but how does that work, from what I read it only works on gprs/3G, and I wanted to sync with wi-fi as well. Also, I found no download link, but some promises about a wm6 version for soon. Can anyone tell me where to look for more info?
I have Qtek9000 with the latest JW ROM. I use the Outlook Mobile exchange PushMail. It works well, but I am wondering if there is any better PushMail client that I can use instead of Outlook? Now, I cannot receive Today notification if I recieve an e-mail which is filtered by Ruls to another than Inbox folder... I cannot open several e-mails simulteniously, there is no way to ask Read/Delivery confirmation, no way to change the current view of the Inbox and other e-mail forlder, .. the Sent items are sorted by "From" (i.e. my e-mail), not "to".. etc.
hhmm.. I am still trying to find any Push Mail client, but no success.... any ideas?

I will try it.. but as i read, it use activesync acount (there is no way to set up separate exchange server)... and in order to use it, I must keep both - default outlook mail and Flexmail, which is not so good).
If it is possible JW to make some changes in the Outlook Mail in order to be able to sort the e-mails by "TO" (there is only an option to sort them by "FROM"). I need it when looking at "Sent" items
I just mentioned this article: http://blogs.msdn.com/outlook_mobile/archive/2007/03/13/wm6-messaging.aspx and found the Outlook in JW ROM is a littje bit diferrent from the shown pictures! On my device I cannot find the menu for Exchange server searching... If the Outlook in JW ROM is the latest WM Outlook version?
Exchange Sync - strange problem!
Hi, I use PushMail on my PPC (Qyek9000, WM6) to sync with our company
Exchange Server 2003SP2. It worked fine till 01st May 2007, when I suddently
stopped recieving any e-mails/contacts/tasks from Exchange server to my PPC!
It is still connected, it found and synchronizes the Folder list (only), it
count the number of e-mails inside the inbox, but DOES NOT retrieve ANY
e-mails/contacts. It just shows me "0 items". At the same time, I can send
e-mails and if I change something on my PPC (ex.new Task/contact) it
synchronized on the Server and I can see it on my desktop Outlook.... The IT
guys checked the server, but nothing found! I have deleted and reinstalled my
PPC exchange mail settings, but the same problem. Please any idea how to
solve it. Thanks!
You can actually set your pushmail exchange email account to sync outside of your inbox:
On your device:
Goto Messaging
Outlook Email
Menu
Tools
Manage Folders
You'll see a folder browser.
Inbox is default synced
You can now enable more folders for synchronization (for example your sent items)
This way you can sync your inbox and a couple of your selection of folders for specific people

I can and I did it! But the problem is that I still not recieve any e-mails on my PPC. In fact, it synchronize one-way - from PPC-to Exchange server, but not vice versa! I can see the folder list, but it does not "send/push" amy e-mails... Last week it worked normally!
The IT guy
Mine is working great (I am the IT guy), Make sure that you have the correct certificate on your PDA, or ask you IT guy to give you the certificate and reinstall it.
Then make sure to try your account with and without SSL.
Good luck, let me know…

The certificate is fine but the problem stil. I tried another PPC - Nokia, with Symbian, but the same problem. The result is that I can synchronize ONEWAY only - from PPC to Exchange, but not vise versa (from Exchnage to PPC). The IT department guys cannot find any reason and do not know what to do. I suggest tham to restrat/reset the exchange server... but still waiting
Problem Solved
The problem is solved! The reason for the problem was the Exchange Server's antivirus software (McAfee). We had to switch the mail scanning from "on demant" to "background scanning". Now it works
Sound complicated.
I am using live.mail2web.com and receiving mail at Outlook and is ok. Just need to set the exchange address, thats all.

I speak about our company Exchange 2003 Server.. it is a different from mail2web.
Hi There,
Does someone have a PHP Script that will emulate a MS Exchange Server so i can synch my HTC P4350 WM6 by internet?
Now i synch everything in my laptop so it is put into Outlook etc.
But want also a backup option on a different place and the ActiveSync can do that over the internet.
Thanks anyway for the reading, but more for hopefully a sollution
Peter
no but maybe you should try www.mail2web.com . they offer free ms exchange 2003 accounts with outlook mobile and outlook web access and you can use their server for syncing you contacts, calender and tasks
I have found that also on the net thanks anyway !!!
Just a question (not reaaly TD2 related) but since there a lot of gadget freaks here i can ask the question...
I have several mail accounts
Exchange (For business)
Hotmail (Private)
Several others
Now i have to use activesync to sync exchange, then switch to every account and select send/receive.... (i don't use push since i have a gsm only abbo)
is there some tool out there that let me sync all mail at once ? and if it's possible and get the latest A-GPS data and wheather as well...
Think the only way around it is to setup forwarding of accounts to one of your accounts and then pick them all up from there through activesync with something like Microsoft Outlook
